  • thats really good i barely started doing stencils hahah it must have tooken hella long to make this

  • it turned out so beautiful

  • really good man, was expecting with all that finer detail for the outcome to be a bit ropey but not at all.

  • a lot of stenciling... O__o

  • Lovely!

One question. How do you cut around the tape? Some sections look so sparse with where the tape is holding the paper together.

  • few questions.. whats that material your cutting it out on? and how did you get the image on it?

  • bro whered you get a snake ?

  • How did you learn all of this?

  • how do you get stencils thast big?

  • wow ;-D

  • the only thing i mostly like the snake :D :P

  • This is so awesome!

  • theres a snake on you!

  • GOOD JOB MEN´S

  • is all covered with laminate?

  • FANTASTIC!

  • FUKIN SWEET!

  • that's really amazing, though the little snake was random as crap, lol It looks like I'm looking up to the sky through the trees. Speechless.

  • I have recently started drawing and cutting stencils nothing quite as complicated as this.I have heard of many hobbies where you can loose yourself in but this is the only one that does it for me totally..and as for that moment when you remove the stencil and see your finished work for the first time, well it's better than sex....................well I am 58 lol

  • nicely put.

  • Make me one about 2pac!!

    2pac face!! one!!!

    Respect ur work homie!!

  • Non era meglio passare prima lo sfondo e poi tutto il tronco? O__O

    blew me the freak away.

    props on your diligence

  • damm i like it alout good job

  • this is fucking down.

  • as the others say ,this is great

did you just use normal paper or what and this picture is great what a sort of tree is this or what have I to google to get ist

Thanks for an answer I think many before me asked you this

  • Just pure awesomenes :D so cool, this inspired me to start doing a stencil that i'm going to paint on a t-shirt...

  • Man, did I just lose my mind or at one point did I see a snake sliding down the side of your face?? :| :|

  • A python actually. Yes.

  • Very cool! And while you're cutting out that amazing stencil, well done man. That is really something else :)

  • so sick i didnt notice this at first

  • love your work....

what sort of glue do you use when spraying, i'm using repositionable spray adhesive and it's not sticking so well to the canvas... any tips?

  • Just spray adhesive. I used quite a lot for this piece, and let it dry well before sticking it to the canvas. If you let spray adhesive dry for a couple of minutes it's much better at the whole "repositionable sticking" thing.

As you can see on the video though, I had a helper who was doing lots of holding-down, and there was plenty of (desired) underspray on the piece.

  • WOW, awesome vid guys, I just started stencil as a hobby and this is way to far from where I am, you guys are awesome!!!

  • somehow it looks strange.. more like a bush with spider webs :)

  • i wud h8 to cut that if i made a mistake id be heart broken :P

  • Nice work!

  • I like it a lot!!!!!

    2 thumbs up!

  • Really beautiful tree and sky.

  • Where do you get your stencils?

    Or do you make them?

    Because that's fucking amazing.

  • We make them. That one is a photo we took, printed out onto 12 sheets of A4 paper, and then stencilified.

  • rasterbation !!! (im not perv lol, Google it )

  • amazine... ive got a bredli to

  • WOW. Final product was fucking amazing...

  • amazing video, amazing result - wel done both of you

  • wow

    thanks for sharing that!

  • if it was over a couple months why do you have the same clothes on?

  • if you watched the whole thing and didn't notice the shirts changing every couple minutes, you've got some issues.

  • Amazing !!!!!!!!!

  • damn i got to get me one of those

  • One of those stencils, or one of those cameras? Both are rather cool..

  • alright cool

  • We think about 10 hours of cutting (times 2 people), spread over 3 months.

  • Dude thats awesome...

  • Nice one J. veeery cool look. I'd hang it on my wall.

  • i wouldnt trust another person to cut my stencils

  • im dazzeled!!! check my vids pls, though my stencils look like shit compared with this piece. respect

  • incredibly!

what type of paper it is?

  • Just normal printer paper taped together and with sticky plastic on the back to make it a little stronger. For a one-off spray this is much easier to cut than card or acetate, and works fine.

  • This is AMAZING! If you don't mind me asking...where did you get the image? It's awesome.

  • The image is a photo I took of a tree. Sorry, nothing particularly exciting!

  • WOW, awesome! speechless, really..

  • Yep, about 9 hours all up I think.

  • Was it really worth it? haha

  • Absolutely. It's a stunning piece in person, and I'm extremely proud of it!

  • Looks like magic :D I love stencils :DDD

  • Very impressive!

How do you print your stencils? I'm using Photoshop CS2 for making my stencils, but I don't know how to print them in postersize.

  • Looks like it is A4 printed and stuk into one giant piece?

I can see the sticky tape- if so-

Enlarge it, and print into A4 pages and stick together :D

  • Exactly correct. Sliced into A4 chunks and then laser printed, stuck together, and the back covered in clear "contact" (sticky stuff for covering books) so it would hold together a bit better.
