  • Wow David looks completely like his father...

  • Has anyone noticed that one of the people in the painting 4:55 looks like David?

  • wee ones at your skirt and another in the belly. I love that quote

  • 7:06 Balamory? xD

  • Newyork in 1460?

  • Wow. i would love to do something like this with my Scottish and Irish heritage. Also, his father sounds so much like him! its unnerving! :P

  • "It's getting a bit Scottish." Lolz; it's nice to know that nationalities can be used to describe weather ;D

  • I started watching this because I hadn't seen this episode yet.. it's slowly dawning on me that almost everybody else here is of the "Z0mg its David Tenant!!!111" type :)

  • He drank sheep pee. Bwahahahaha! No more make outs for you on Doctor Who. Heh heh

  • Doctor Who aside, I really am fascinated by this stuff.

Fresh mountain stream water. I can guarantee you you will never find a more delicious liquid.

  • Doctor Who aside, this kind of stuff really does fascinate me. I wonder if I could make a journey like this?

Ooh, fresh mountain stream water. I can personally guarantee you that no liquid tastes better.

  • @4:55 the guy in the red jacket has to be the Doctor!

  • @xxKaxitaxx haha i thought the exact same thing!

  • ....My dad's name is Charles and my name is Cathryn.... Awkward.. O.O

  • 6:37 OMG its ballinamory! xD

  • The "local" historian's a Yorkshire woman , LOL

  • @AlbaSiar She's an expert on the history of that locality. She herself isn't a local. I would have thought that was fairly obvious.

  • @Kairuka Nobody in this film has stated she's an "expert" - she's being described as "local" and "historian", none of which is demonstrably true. Mull ( Gaelic Maol,) traditionally, is the stronghold of the Macleans and the Gaelic language was spoken there until recently . How would anyone recently arrived, and a non native speaker have any authority in 1000 year history of Mull. If you can't see that then your as illiterate on the matter as David Tennent.

  • @AlbaSiar And dead civilizations? I guess nobody has any authority on their history since clearly nobody is a native speaker of Latin or Ancient Greek. This suggestion is preposterous on its face.

  • @Kairuka The Gaelic culture in Mull and across Gaeldom is known by it's oral tradition .They didn't write much down, relying instead on stories being passed on through the family from generation to generation, by word of mouth. The "Historian" here, is demonstrably not privy to the nuances of the rich Gaelic story telling or musical tradition in the Isle of Mull - the ancestral homeland of the MacLeans of Duart.

  • @AlbaSiar And she could have very easily interviewed the living keepers of this history to learn it herself. In fact, that's what any good historian does to learn about cultures with a rich oral tradition that survives. You can share words with people who don't share your blood.

  • David drives like a boss!

  • I feel like I'm riding in David's car :')

    Sorry. Fangirl moment.

  • "...Have I just drunk out of a stream that lots of sheep have peed in? Is that what you're tellin' me?"

    "Yes."

"Nice. Well, I'm... I'm glad I that that."

  • The Doctor and Highlander are related! No wonder he´s immortal!! haha!

  • So The Doctor and Highland are related!!! haha!

  • 1:53 that wall IS low.

  • 7:09 My sister is like Balamory!

  • @xxOhSoNaughtyxx SKYE, Isle of Skye!

  • Excellent reference joke Meg did.

  • this actually makes me a little sad. i kinda like being so ethnically diverse, but i miss being able to narrow down my family history properly like this.

  • I really love David Tennant... I actually didn't know about the Scottish being chased from their own homes... This was an actual productive use of my time. Plus accents always make things better.

  • He is such a child! He drinks out of random rivers and then he picks up random skulls! =3 I love him to bits.

  • thank you soooooo much. I live in the USA so i had no idea they made this show over there like the states did. Amazing to hear him in his real accent. So lovely

  • lolz. first he touches the skull, next he drinks out of a questionable spring. It's like he's 5 yrs old in the very best way possible ;)

  • He helped her with her coat! As vocal as I am that all women can do things for themselves, that is secretly one of the sweetest things a guy can do (especially in conjunction with offering their own coat).

  • haha his dad sounds EXACTLY like him

  • @ 4:50 in the painting, the guy in the reddish brown coat looks a bit like David o_O coincidence?

  • I'm a giant history geek, doctor who fan, and david tennant fangirl, so this is like a field day for me....wow. :o

  • Oh David. So. HOT.

  • aww he looks like his grandfather

  • David would've been a shepherd. He would've lived all his life hiding from the world in the hills, and would've arried a milk-maid years ago. O.o

  • David is a very safe driver! lol :) x

  • David wears abercrombie XD WIN!

  • that painting at 4:16 is just beautiful, I want it!

  • those landlords kinda sucked :(

  • "so i've just drunk from a stream that a bunch of sheep have peed in, that's what you're telling me?"

  • bring Tardis! =D ♥

  • I almost like this coat more than the 10th Doctor's coat...Almost...:D Awesome.

  • i love seeing david driving

  • IT'S BALAMORY!

    :D

  • IT'S BALAMORY!

    :D

  • "She had a favourite phrase that will live with me until I die: " ...and YouTube freezes.

  • now all we need is for David to have some kids and carry it on :P

  • @FuzzyWuzzyBumbleBear Well his baby daughter was born the other day!

  • @lhutton93 lol I know, I forgot his girlfriend/fiance was pregnant :') Olivia McDonald, right?

  • @FuzzyWuzzyBumbleBear Nope,he married the daughter of the fifth Doctor, Peter Davison.

Georgia Moffett met him when she had a guest role in a 2008 episode – playing the Doctor’s daughter, Jenny.

  • @FuzzyWuzzyBumbleBear I have read the daughter is either Olivia or Olive, I've seen it both ways. idk, mb it's Olivia but calling her Olive for short? i really don't know, just guessing

  • @FuzzyWuzzyBumbleBear his genetics should be passed on. Awesomeness can't be limited.

  • always, always a trench coat. :)

  • Well he's not gonna have any luck finding his ancestors, this is Earth not Gallifrey. xD

  • Ha I loved when the Historian told him he should've brought the TARDIS! I would have been like OH MY GOD YOU'RE THE DOCTOR! LETS GO FIND WHERE YOUR ANCESTORS LIVED! LOL! He could make anything interesting! I would listen to David read the phone book! HAHA!

  • theres a guy named archbald buried in laid church up in the north of ireland ^^

  • is it just me or everything he says just makes me melt and he makes everything wonderful! and attractive, alluring, intriguing.

  • Maybe she traveled by boat.

  • I love how enthusiastic David is. xD In the last video he was all like "Ooooo Skulls,I'm gonna grab one!" and in this one it's "Ooooo Lake water,i'm gonna drink it!"

  • This is giving me chills, seeing that cleared village- maybe it's my Scottish ancestry, maybe it's just humanity.

"God bless Ireland and the Protestant clergy!" Whoa!

  • This is giving me chills, seeing that cleared village- maybe it's my Scottish ancestry, maybe it's just humanity.

  • He looks a lot like his grandad.

  • Around the 4:58 mark in the middle of the painting the guy in the light brown coat to the left of the table looks a lot like David (watch in full screen), I wonder if that's a real painting or if they just photoshopped that in there to be clever lol.

  • Thanks so much for putting these up! Living in the US makes it difficult to see the show...

  • DOCTOR WHO REFERENCE!!!

  • Yeah, they even burnt down the houses with the people still in them. You don't hear people mentioning that very often.

  • NOT 'Gay-lick' (Irish) why can't people pronounce it correctly??? (Gah-lick = Scottish)

  • so THAT'S the difference! I always wondered. :)
