  • man....these are freaking awesome!!! Hey, if you get the chance, I'd love to talk, I might even try to commission you into making a set of these for me at some point in a year or two

  • wow, you're a genious XDD they look awesome ^^

  • Hey!!!!! I got that ball for Christmas!! Total disappointment. -_- I dropped it when I tried to use it and it chipped a little. Now it's pretty much useless.

ANYWAY!!! I love this video. You are fun to listen to. Most people bore me. I love the ears olot!!

  • O_O Omg your awesome! you are now my new best friend

  • I came for the cat ears, but then you totally lost my attention when you started Contact Juggling. I really admire your skill. All around awesome.

  • how much for the ball

  • how do you do that with the ball

  • hey i have no way to0 make them but i would so love some

do u think u could make me some some how id pay

if you could sell them on like amazon or somethin

  • Now would this work on long ears? While I lack K'nex, I do have wood and metal on my hands and I have a basic design for the skeleton on the ears.

  • Ill pay you to make me some

  • @HVdrumr

    me too!!!!

  • ARGH!!!

    MAGIC BALL!!!!

  • Freaking awesome

  • That's amazing! Where are you? I must pet you!

  • hey will you make me some with fur?

  • Omg ur awesome xDD I love the ears :3

One question: when u nod down does the ears go down too?

  • How do you connect the bungee chords and the things at the back that pulls the ears with movement...?

  • @BalthezarArith dude you are fucking awesome.

  • I seriously couldn't lat five seconds into the video.

  • OH, you go to a-kon, too?

Maybe we'll both go the same day! I'd love to talk to you in person because i have a lot of costume things I would love to share lol

  • Oh. my. Gosh. Dude. EPIC WIN!! your ears look epic~ X3

Can they be covered with fur? or are they already? I can't tell, you moved around so much. XD

Those are some pretty fancy tricks you do with that ball, there.

  • @silverdragon1314 They havent been furred yet. They're just painted cardstock and look like 'skin'. They probrably could be furred, but having fur accross the hinge joint would be tricky uphostering, and I havent quite worked it out. The original idea for the hinged ear was for a fursuit head, where there would be more room for both mechanics and fur. on this small rig, its kinda hard to get both to work and still be streamlined.

  • @WizardGir Ah, okay. Do you take comissions for these? I'd love to try my hand at furring them.

  • @silverdragon1314 yup. $25 plus shipping for just the ear mechanisms. Harness and rigging for wearing and controling method would be extra, as I expect it to be different for each user.

  • you are acctuly amazing :')

  • so does the string at the back of ur head that pulls the ears follow ur neck or make a triangle that is thinker then ur neck?

  • @amo494 It does make a triangle, but no, its not wider than my neck. The line actually lays down pretty flat between my shoulder blades. My hair covers it up really well, but they would be very easily hidden anyways.

  • ok, thats good because i'm gonna make some of my own. cause there awsome :D

keep up the good work :)

  • Comment removed

  • So are you doing commissions? Cause I'd definitely buy. ^-^

  • @kittyfoxx Sure. PM me. :)

  • why are u talking like that? You must really love those ears. :)

  • clever and hot, i like it hehe ;).

On a more serious note, I wanted to thank you for your tutorial on how to make the ears, I've been looking around youtube and the web but the tutorials are mostly jargon to me, where as yours is easy and clear.

Thanks to the ear video, I can now go about making the animatronic ears for my costume for warhammer Games Day 2011, so a big thanks for your help :).

    All the best.

  • So, if the cost to make them is 8 bucks, would you commision the base (no fur or anything) for $15-$20?

  • i wld so use this for ae 2011 in bc- around vancouver!!

o well i'll make em n wear them to school!! XD i love wearin ears in public

  • Dude~ That's totally awesome x3!!

  • So jealous right now! Love the ears!

  • Vids up! :)

  • Wizardgir

  • @ WizardGir not just yet but working on it

  • I've been on a sort of costume building spree for halloween, I already made a pair of digistilts and these were so awesome I made a pair. Mine are a little simpler though instead of bolts and wielding I used long lock pins and hot glue, lots and lots of hot glue.

  • @L337f33t sounds awesome. Got any vid?

  • U R FREKEN AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was watching this and I just noticed that you said A-kon and I was....a-kon....A-Kon!! oh shiz he's gonna be at a-kon!!

  • amazing! but umm like are you going to put fur on them to make them look more real? and Akon do yu mean like the anime convention/anime expo? I wanna go!!! > < I'd be wearing the tail and cat ears yu made!!! xDDD

  • Grats on finishing them! I hope you make a vid of yourself at the convention with all of your stuff on :)

  • I SAW THAT BALL ITS A FUSHIGI!!! THE ANTI-GRAVITY BALL THINGY I SAW A COMMERCIAL ON TV

  • creepy old man with cat ears.

  • so ur FOR SURE going to akon this summer?! YAY!!!!!!

  • thats the plan.

  • Yay!! those came out nicely! They look really good ^^

  • the finished product looks amazing :3 I look forward to seeing more of your contraptions ^_^

  • i want full instructions on how to build these :O

    :3 kitty <3

  • Check out the other progress vids. A tutorial might be comming, but as I used a welder, thier duplication may be difficult for average enthusiasts to fabricate. But thanks for the interest!

  • @BalthezarArith Me gets welder :3 i wanted to take a metal works class anyways

  • hmm. cools. then I'll say Expect a Tutorial in about a week. That goes for all of yoU! hehe.

  • @BalthezarArith Did you use a electrode welder or MIG? And how are they on wight?

  • @darkseed1010 Technicly its a wire-feed with flux, but can be converted to MIG. the actual ear mechanisms are pretty light weight. not heavy at all. I can weigh them if you like.

  • @WizardGir No need to weigh them. I will take your word for it. But thank you for the insight!

  • Yay Ears!

  • Very, very nice. Wish I could buy some.

  • Maybe not the whole setup, but I can duplicate the mechanics and the rig pretty easily. How much of an interest is there?

  • Quite a bit. I'm sure others are interested as well.
