  • why is he wearing a dress XDXD

  • 4:17 The cheapest Gordon Ramsay menu

  • gordan is awesome

  • Haha, he just got second, cause they thought its funny to let a white guy participate :D

  • Why would Gordon give away the pressure cooker? Everyone in India has 50 of them. You don't live in India and not have a pressure cooker. Settle down.

  • Gordon is an amazing guy, he immerses himslef into the culture and learns and adapts so quickly. This guy would become a success anywhere he went in the world, he is so driven and passionate about what he loves. food and cooking it. I really love watching someone so positive and driven like him !!!

  • amaizing show. Ilove it. and i'm gone try some of the recipes here in Norway :)

  • LOL at 0:17..proves u cant take a scottsman out of a man no matter how rich you are..the dudes worth over 80 million pounds and is jumpin in joy for winning a panasonic pressure cooker worth 30 quid...

  • If I saw Gordon cooking street curry in Kolkata I'd eat there everyday

  • He has 13 Michelin stars, but still at 6:09 Gordon cared so much about what the people on the streets of Calcutta eating his food thought about his street-cafe preparation, that it brought a tear to his eye.

To all those who call him an arrogant little shit, maybe that moment should give them reason to pause and reconsider what kind of person he really is.

  • @GCLwins lmfao touching his eyes with his fingers doesn't mean he's crying. besides he said that man's grey haired man's opinion mattered more

  • PANICSHITSINKRATWHORE Should have seen this.

  • SHOUTOUT TO NORTHEAST CURRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO ASSAM

  • Ive seen ads for that guru in the promo for next episode in newspapers in Toronto

  • gordon should go to the Philippines next :) or China :) both my home towns :) best asian food in the world:)

  • @purpleloover filipino food is gross, chinese is too greasy, indian is the best

  • @classicwiseguy I'm a Filipino

but I think I never tasted the real taste of Filipino cuisine.

  • @classicwiseguy i'm guessing you are indian... maybe biased to it... filipino food and chinese food are one of the most "best" seasoned food.... american food lacks taste.... indian too "un-kid friendly" hahaha anyway diff people have diff tastes....

  • @classicwiseguy have an open mind when you talk about food, unless you have traveled all over the world like gordon and actually tasted it, you are no one to make that kind of an accusation.

  • @TheFatal05 With your logic, you haven't tasted the food from a culture/country unless you have visited its place of origin, so eating at various Chinese, Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Korean, Buddhist Vegetarian, and even Italian etc. etc. restaurants means nothing because you haven't traveled all over the world like gordan and actually tasted it...I can make that claim because it is my opinion after having eaten at a wide range of restaurants in my city

  • @classicwiseguy (Toronto) a city known for its vast multiculturalism and restaurant culture.

  • Gordon is really really nice He loves food too :D ^-^

  • @i9smae3l Thank you for uploading this!

Peace and respect from Amsterdam, namaste!~:)

  • gordon, you are suppose to wear a pants below that white shirt you are wearing!! LOL!

  • @bblinhui Maybe he was in a kinky mood:)

  • Weird 2550 rupees are worth about nothing when converted to Norwegian Kroner

  • i wanna eat in his restaurant to know about real flavours of food lol i love him n his eyes pff lolzz

  • Great series. You can tell towards the end of this episode Gordon got a little emotional while talking about India. :)

  • For the ones complaining about Gordon not giving away the pressure cooker. Can you even begin to understand on how insulting it is to give away a present like that? Even if you do give it away, you would not do it in front of them. You're just plain arrogant and ungrateful if you do.

  • @Steviesteef That is true. A gift like a pressure cooker isn't cheap in India and you simply cannot insult your host by returning it.

  • @Steviesteef I agree, it would also be unfair to the other people who don't get anything.

  • great british bloke

  • Gordon Ramsay is the man. He is not all Hollywood. You can't fake it in countries like this...

  • touched. Gordon showed us his other side. he gained my total respect

  • Good on you Gordon....enjoyed every episode.

  • Where JAMMU & KASHMIR In Indian MAP...You must corrrect it dear producers...Its still an integral part of India....

  • just once id like to eat a meal made by Gordon T_T

  • Gordon Ramsay won a pot?

    Really?

He has his own Royal Dulton cookware...

  • @ratedr3nigma I´m pretty sure he gave it away to someone ;-) He´s not THAT Greedy!

  • @triondrummer In some cultures, it would be considered wrong to refuse a gift from someone. <_<

  • @klaytonrocks In ALL cultures, if you think about it. I think it was a useful and intresting goft, Gordon might enjoy trying it.

  • @shvmjn oof..interesting gift*

  • 6:17 Jesus makes his appearance lol.

  • Aww, he's adorable jumping around with a rice cooker XD

  • Jesus Christ at 6:14

  • 2750 rupees is 43 euro... Gordon usually earns that every 43 seconds.

  • a panasonic cooker YES! YES! I LOVE YOU ALL!

  • WOW!!! Look how fat Ramsay's legs are at 5:57!

  • Gordon is the Best...!

  • Strip away all the bullshit and he's one hell of a nice guy. He's just uber passionate about what he does. When he was in the kitchen he just wanted everyone to adhere to his standards, so a few bollockings were given out. Big deal. All the shite on Fox was purely for ratings. Here, you see what he's really about. So much respect and humility and a real passion for and understanding about food and what food means.

  • I think it's funny how he say's that he's got a lot of competition and that he needs to work to get people to love his food. HES THE ONLY WHITE MAN WITH A CAMERA CREW COOKING ON THAT STREET!!! Not to mention that he is already one of the best chef's in the world. How hard could it be?

  • @Natedawg422 Of course he has to get people in Calcutta to love food from a completely different region! For them to even agree to taste it is amazing. Indians are very house-proud, they use recipes passed down from generation to generation, each region has its own kind of food, and they're not always open to accepting influences from another region. If Gordon Ramsay were to check out the Bengali cuisine of Calcutta that would be a whole six other episodes. It's hard on a street in India! :P

  • @miltigirl I know. Your right. But I was just commenting on the fact that he was the only white, English man on that street with a camera crew with fancy equipment amongst hundreds of dark/brown skinned Indians. I mean where else but perhaps in Boliwood would those people see a white guy on that street that wasn't just some tourist? Sure those people would be sceptical of Gordans food, but when a camera crew is involved, he kinda stands out as a big shot whether he's cooking or not.

  • WOW I DIDNT THINK ANY OF THEM WUD LIKE IT

  • LOL Gordan looks nice in a dress

  • Gordon Ramsay! Amazing man!

  • gordon is actually very different form what you see in hell's kitchen.. you can really see his passion and excitement for food here. there is one thing that didn't change though, he still hates to lose..haha.. nice show.. i like

  • gordon gt the upper hand as he was with a camera

  • 4:53 indian head bobble.. Thank you Outsourced!

  • @nOmIcRo4u i would love to see u speak the first lang of indian people with your stiff upper lip and then make fun of ur style and FYI outsourced has all american/British actors and i dont think u have ever seen the real call center employees.......they had to change the whole operandi of outsourced after they got a reality check that not everyone in India is a character from the SIMPSONS and have accents like him...................

anyway i am just sad for ur immature comment

  • Probably the cheapest dish cooked by Gordon Ramsay ever (20 rupees= 40 cents) =)

  • cant believe he nicked off with the pressure cooker, he could have raffled it off or smt, what a greedy bastard!

  • i don't get how they can eat with their hands, if i was to buy some curry chicken and rice and eat it with my hands in the streets, i would run to a bathroom to wash my hands

  • @blackholism it's india. not america. before utensils, our hands had tod all the work

  • @blackholism Well we do wash our hands before and after our meal too. :P The idea of utensils just hasn't been that popular. All over India eating with the hand is considered healthier and supposed to give a better flavour to the food. Plus our grannies would probably whoop our ass if we tried going posh and using spoons. :P

  • I'm suprised at how many of these people know English.

  • @ElDuderino909 why would you? english is india´s second official language, they use it for goverment and business and english is even enforced in school ocacionally

  • @fedemonsalve Crazy. Japan does the same thing enforcing it in schools.

  • @ElDuderino909 and not only that but remember that india was colonized by the british for more than a centrury

  • Gordon: "A Panasonic pressure cooker, Woohoo! Yeeees! I love you all!" : )

  • @mamftt HAHAHA! I love that! Probably for his new restaurant HAHAH! YESS!!! I SAVED SOME MONEY!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!! HAHA!

  • notice that that the indian man at 4:55 was shaking his head and then says its good

  • @talk2malawyer yup in India they wiggle their heads from side to side like this when they mean "yes", its wierd you never get used to it!!

  • what an amazing episode!

  • i think assam chicks are pretty fine looking

  • this curry make me hungry! it looks so nice and tasty! indian food is absolutely one of the best in the world but beware, don't eat it everyday cause u will smell like shit, too many onion

  • OMG the guy who was talking in bengali(3:51)... here is the translation: "This is obviously amazing to see people coming from outside and cooking but how good they cook will be decided later on as right now since everyone is saying its good so I'll have to say its good."

  • I wonder how many food stall owner around him pissed when gordon grabbed all the customer to his side.

  • @Songkhi That's exactly what I was thinking. Regardless of how well of they are, there's no doubt he IS stealing a large chunk of business for that day.

  • At the end. "The Slumdog children of Mumbai". Oh my god. They act as if there's only this one side to Mumbai. It fucking makes less than probably 20% of the land. Explore the rest 80% !

  • i wonder how many of these guys were at one time one of our service representatives over the phone

  • 3000 rupees is like 66 bucks lol

  • A Panasonic pressure cooker! YEEESSS!!! WOOHOO!!

  • Maybe he did give the cooker away, we don't know, :)

  • Typical tight Jock.....he could have given away the pressure cooker to one of the other contestants!.

  • @manutdok1 well he earned it. It would make a great souvenir. I don't see what's wrong with that. I'm sure if someone really wanted it, he'd hand it over no problem. I mean, you seen this oke's kitchen at home? It looks so much more expensive than my house ha ha.

  • DAMN, Lots of onions.

  • Great episode, it must be very hard to suit with your dish into the 'spice demanding' Indian clientèle

  • o... sexy gordon going commando.

  • rugby ball??

  • why is he not wearing any pants? The traditional clothing on top called a kurta is worn with similar trousers called pajama with birthed the english word pajamas.

  • Gordon Ramsay's Calcutta cafe should be Michelin's first 3 stars cafe in the streets.

  • gordon:"are you sure they're not bunking off school?" Sagar:"no" Gordon:"no? definite?" Sagar:"he's not but I don't know about him" (points at other guy)

  • AUD$65.50

  • How do they eat with their fingers when the chicken and rice is very hot? I just always thought that it would burn your fingers to eat like that, but I always wanted to try, so anyone? do you have experience?

  • @Svetusi4ka I guess, we train our fingers .. u break em down slowly and I guess the key is to mash the rice and curry well .. so u dont get a blast of spice once and dn plain white dry rice the other time .. the key .. is to mix them well together :)

    enjoy !

  • @Svetusi4ka well you you see Indians don't have pain receptor on the tips of their fingers.

  • so ...he wore just that thin white kurta?

  • Mr. Ramsay has 3 Police Vans in the Background in Kolkata to save his ass. Wonder how many were there in the tribal area he went!

  • 7:41 as you noticed. Gordon's wrinkles on his cheeks and around his mouth, are gone!

For all that sweat he let out he has lost a few pounds.

That's why you see people all slim but they have keep eating to put all that calories in them.

The humidity really takes away ALL the fat in your body.

  • If you live or go in place that has Humidity, you know your gonna sweat and burn 1,000 calories an hour!

No wonder my sister came back from Bangladesh all slim-jim, close to skinny!!! Yes she was chunky and she sweat out within a month stay!. ALOT!!

  • lol when he opens the prize and celebrates :)

  • What a superb show, I'll definitely be back to watch it again thank you

  • I love it that Gordon is such a open minded chef who is visiting and learning from different parts of India with no prejudices and hesitation. This is one of the few shows which has managed to show the diversity and skills required for cooking authentic indian food.

  • @freakishmee amen to that brother

  • the guy's name is sagat? O .o

  • 4:38 The lady in red she turns with jealousy when Ramsey is getting alot of attention from the crowd of his food.

That's amazing that people haven't tasted bamboo shoots before. It's suprisly everyone was amazed of Chef Ramsey's cooking.

  • I like how Gordon took ideas like that woman's recipe for his own inspirations. He's a very open minded chef.

  • i just found a new fav show, gona rewatch this when i get married haha

  • Gordon went commando

  • hmmm, I thought that he looked kind of cute in the night shirt...

  • I think Gordon is a really nice person.

  • @msellaumbrella me2! i met him

  • @msellaumbrella yeah it was nice of him to give that money to the guy

  • @msellaumbrella I think so too. People see him in the kitchen and mistake his temper for rudeness, while clearly it's just his way of turning cold metal into steel.

  • @789123Y well said, mate.

  • @msellaumbrella Hahaha, especially nice to get excited about the pressure cooker and accept it as a gift. xD

  • i'm reali glad dat gordon used fusion of all the ingredients of the north east..which is so pure...its not an easy job to blend all diff ingredients frm diff places bt he did a superb job...hats off to him!

  • 3:18 i would eat my asss of.. god that loos delic

    ious!

  • F-word in Kolkata, 100 covers chicken papaya in 50 mins. 2550 rupees earned. Done! javautube

  • @javautube I think he said 2750 o.o

  • this is what its all about. i love how gordon's spreading foods from different regions. Its pretty crazy how sharing foods can bring so many people together.

  • he wasn't kidding about the "commando" bit! OMG!
