I had seen a number of his earlier banjos on the legendary J-Walk Blog, which led to wanting a banjo of my own. We were shooting for a tone somewhere in between a bluegrass banjo and an Old Time open-back banjo--metallic but melodious. Lawrence hit the bull's eye. I already love my banjo and I haven't even played it yet.
Highly recommend my friend to anyone looking for a custom-built banjo. Those north of the 49th will be pleased to know he accepts Canadian Tire Money at par.
Don Coyote, indeed, but you can call me Peter. The Pontiac banjo--born in California--will find it's new home in Penticton, BC. The banjo was built by Lawrence--the player above.
This instrument was a project commissioned by a Canadian musician with the online identity of Don Coyote. I reckon he will be 'over the moon' when he gets his hands on it.
That sounds great what a nice instrument to build

Lawerance, I love it almost as much as I love my Wildwood banjo. You'll be happy to know I love her as more than the day I got her!
