  • fukkkkkkkkkk india

  • What a team that was.....Dravid, Sachin, Dada, Kumble, Srinath, Sehwag, Bhajji, Yuvraj, Kaif..the list goes on, the only player missing was Laxman.

  • fukkkkkkkkk india all these players are fukers

  • sorry mate, man for man, the current team is at least twice as good as the 2003 team. that one played out of its skin to reach the final, this one should reach if it plays to its potential, or even near its potential.

look at the line up : Viru, Sachin, Gauti, Raina, Yuvi, Dhoni, Y Pathan, Bhajji, Zak, Ishant, Munaf (or some other bowler). the top 6 are all good for a match turning innings, and that's what counts, i reckon. the bowling, with Srinath being replaced is a blow, but Zak, is in form.

  • wat abt irfan pathan??

  • yeah, irfan, munaf, or now nehra. whoever.

  • @shamoni8 2003 team was the best, look at the Indian Team 2day, no bench strength.

  • @itsabhibiswas we didn't have much bench strength then either. its just that the replacements clicked then.

  • @shamoni8 Well the bench that time was dhoni ( regular member of A team ), gambhir, dinesh kartik and u can count even VVS Laxman

  • @itsabhibiswas still talking about 2003? dhoni came into the side in 05, if i'm not mistaken. he wasn't bench strength, he was just one of the players playing cricket in the country. he's still a rubbish batsman, btw. he can play slow and reduce risks cos he's surrounded by hitters. and when he has to hit, he does so now once in 10 chances. so that's fucked up as well.

gambhir and karthik too were not in the offing for the 03 team, they weren't even close, and came in only after greg chappell.

  • @shamoni8 what i meant was that they were a part of A team, u r right in ur description of Dhoni, when the opener gives the team a good start, he bats at no 3, scores runs, takes credit, but when the team loses early wicket he never bats up to consolidate the innings, even irfan pathan, agarkar hav scored runs at no 3 after openers gave good start. I dislike Dhoni for the match against SA this yr, when he allowed Tendulkar to face 1ball in last 4overs

  • @itsabhibiswas Dhoni, Yuvraj and current youngsters have scored runs in dead pitches, not in bouncy track to Australia, fast track of SA, swing pitches of England or for that matter SL spin in SL. Sachin, Sourav, Rahul and VVS are a different league altogether. Ind is No 1 test team thanks to Rahul, VVS, Anil, Sachin, Shewag and nt to forget DADA's captaincy. He took team to No 2 from No. 7. No other deserves credit for that!!!

  • @itsabhibiswas i disagree about Dhoni not being able to shoulder responsibility, but agree that he's no longer the player that he was, and does not play according to the situation the team is in. if he tries to go for his shots, he gets out, and we have nobody to back up.

also, that tendulkar innings, he did deny sachin the strike, but let's face it, sachin was tiring and wouldn't be able to score off every ball like dhoni was.

  • @shamoni8 I agree 100% with u to what u have put forward. If u noticed apart from 2007 T20 WC whatever series victory Dhoni has achieved was coz of ane and only Sachin be it Cb series in AUS, Compaque Cup SL, Test series against Eng-NZ, Can u show me any series that Dhoni has won as a captain without the performance of Tendulkar, It was Ganguly who banked on youngsters and Dravid/Laxman (tests) to win him the series.
