No mater what the songs name is I like it. I'm new to Mike Stern, I just got his "Who let the cat out?" album and the "Big neighborhood " album and they both seem great. I would have never thought that his fingers played that many notes just listening to him but to watch, wow!! Thanks for sharing, cs

You have no idea what kind of Stern-fan you're talking to ;)

The tune IS Who Let The Cats Out....it's an uptempo F-blues that he started playing live around 98/99, but he didn't name the tune or recorded it untill the 2006 release which you are refering to.

Bait Tone Blues is also an uptempo F-blues, but has a very different head (=theme) and is as you say to be found on the Between The Lines album. Listen and you will find that all this is correct.

La sua forza sta, tra l'altro, nel mischiare il BeBop con Hendrix, e lo fa in un lento ma inesorabile crescendo di energia, partendo da suoni puliti (tipicissimo il suo suono stereo con chorus e delay) sul PickUp frontale, usando licks caratteristici del BeBop, continuando con accordi pianistici, e raggiungendo il vamp con il distorsore. Un plauso anche al grande Dennis Chambers alla batteria, che riesce, insieme al valido bassista, a seguire Mr.Stern. Concordo: semplicemente stupendo!

l'ho visto a Cosenza nel 1990, era impegnato nel tour con Bob Berg, ma in quell'occasione era con Danny Gottlieb alla batteria ... e non ricordo il bassista, ero a 3 metri da lui....micidiale, primissimo impatto con questa musica ho ancora l'autografo!
