Joanna is probably the best Kim after The Ms. Lea! You should hear their duet. I just noticed how that lady in the white hat at 4:56 had wanted to stand up to give an ovation but sat down again...funny haha.

Simon Bowman is the original Chris (it's strange to see him here with Black hair), while Joanna Ampil is the one on the complete recording (the first few years she performed this role, she had a very fake, affected - not Asian - annoying, accent. The song was made "pop" for this performance.

its annoying how some pinoys overpatronize lea salonga. im filipino too but it annoys me when people do that. para kasi silang nakiki ride sa talent ni lea. the fact that lea is filipino is not what makes her a great singer
@z858978 I couldn't agree more. I think there should be room for more than one interpretation, but if we have to compare, I would prefer the Complete Symphonic Recording to the London Cast Recording. The pace is more dramatic, and I find that the singers in the Complete Symphonic Recording are of a higher standard, both when it comes to pure vocal qualities and dramatic charaterisation. But that is just my opinion - as I said, there should be room for more than one interpretation.
I love Joanna Ampil's voice! I can listen to the Complete Symphonic Recording more than the Original London cast! Hmmmm... Simon is using his falsetto.
