  • My pops was in this band when they were sunny and the sunglows. His name is Dan Morin and he was the sax player.

  • Sunny was real popular along with this song in the sixties in San Antonio,Texas.

  • As far as I know this song cameout in the early 60s. For some reason, many people did not know of it. I am in the my late 40s. i did grow up in el paso texas.

  • i grew up with this music. it will always hit the heart! they are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's music that can never be duplicated. never again another era like this one.

  • excuse ma'am for asking this question, it is not my intention to offend: just to find out why I have never heard this song: I was born in late sixties: how old are you? what year was this song released or popular? where? I assume somewhere in Texas. Thanks

  • As far as I know this song cameout in the early 60s. For some reason, many people did not know of it. I am in the my late 40s. i did grow up in el paso texas.

  • The slide...man I tried to do this one on my guitar back then. It took me about one month.

See....you could not earn the title of guitar

player if you didn't know this one and House of Risen Sun. Our Ozuley later played guitar for Sunny.

  • I think that Rudy P did the high part on this

one song. Jay Johnson...hummm did he have a

cousin by that same last name who tried to get into music but never did?

  • i love this song..thanks for sharing it with us all

  • This song cracks me up when Sunny sings the part: "The judge put me down real bad" Screw that damn judge ha ha ha ha. I guess the judge is perfect to (JUDGE). Ha ha ha

  • I have listed to oldies all my 42 years and have never ever heard this song until recently...I missed out...I really love this song!

  • iv been listening to the oldies for 33 years already since i was born oldies is in our blood sunny was one of our best singers

  • bad ass song

  • First time I heard this was at la Villita in early 60's. We took all Sunny's and the Sunliners wi9th us to the Marine Corps in 66 also the way to the I Corp home to the Marines and back. Today it's still in our heart.

  • I fondly remember these guys. They used to play at the Laredo,TX Sands motel every other weekend. When the new Laredo Civic Center was built, '66-'67 Sunny and the Sunliners were the 1st group to break it in. My friend,Pete Gonzales & I, helped the band unload. We got to get in free. I was so facinated by Vince's bass playing. I'm 55 now, but every time someone hears me play bass, I get complimented. I copied Vince's style. Thank you Vince, where ever you are.
  • Vince is still in San Antonio, plays with a religious group. was saved by evangelist Rudy Guerra, Sunliner sax player, as was I recently. Jay Johnson Sunliner trumpet trobone 1965.. 1969... I was there when we opened the civic center.

  • I remember the first time I heard this song back in 1993, bought the cassette tape.

  • thanks Manuel, I started hanging out with these dudes when I was 14, We would go bowling & the Drive In, I wonder what happen to Dumbo the road mgr?
