Capitalism is an economic system without regulation.
No group will tolerate a 100% non-regulated system because everybody has different interests and somebodies will conflict with others.
Plus, people that rise up usually start to put money above humanity, and that should not be tolerated.

actually history has shown that the socialist programs from from fdr only made the depression worse and last longer than it would have otherwise. the great depression didn't really end till after world warII when we cut spendidng and lowered federal taxes by 1/3.

It's an economic crisis, what do you expect an administration to do? Ever heard of John Maynard Keynes? And maybe you sould consider which administration was in place during the time the crisis was caused and happend. Spending money now is the right thing to do when dealing with the aftermath. And think of what the money is being spend for: the economy, the people. Unlike the billions Bush spent on an unjustified war!

massive government spending caused the great depression to be worse and last longer. So why do it again? The depression didnt end in America untill after wwII when the government cut spending and lowered taxes by 1/3. If we were spending our own money it would be one thing, but we borrow at intrest from the "federal reserve" and its not even part of our government. Get rid of the income tax and the federal reserve, and have our government mint our own money like our founders intended.because every cent of federal income taxes goes to pay the interest on our debt. Not a penny goes to run our government.
