Actually Shy FX Was offered a 5 figure payment to Sign a with EMI Which he turned down. Unlike that wanker General who went all the way to TOTP with that god awful "incredible" crap. He put a Knife in Jungle the moment Teen Girls started Dancing to it. He Took his Money & Fucked off; leaving Jungle Music in the Gutter & Hard working DJ's/Artists without a Job.
Then it turned all shit. The Complex Beats went, Jamaican Flava gone, Volume pumped up to try'n make it sound better, & D n' B was born.
@therealKINDLE yeah personally I hate drum and bass. No disrespect to those involved in it but you cant beat tunes like Helicopter, Ganja Man and all those classics
@therealKINDLE your right there bro.....i remember watching a documentry about it years ago....he was one of the most hated producers and if i am right he had a price on his head coz he pissed off alot of the original jungle djs.....peace
elevation/reincarnation,i was a 15 yr old kid, went well batshit on speed, stuff happened, people got offended and i lost one of my shoes. But the one thing ill always remember is this tune!!! and also the soul destroying comedown!!!
man I will still head nod to this tune when im 90 yrs old best bass line tune ive ever heard an the intro the whirrling blades man they must have been as high as i was when i listened to it lol
man I will still head nod to this tune when im 90 yrs old best bass line tune ive ever heard an the intro the whirrling blades man they must have been as high as i was when i listened to it lol
I looking for the remixes. we just new them as heli I II and III the DJ's knew what we were talking about. can anyone help find them coz I'm finding some bullshit helicopter songs etc.
Bigger than massive this was fuckin` enormous!!!! Can`t sit still, even as I write- RRUUUUUUUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
This is WKD got it on vinyl takes me back this is the original DADDY MATERIAL, PROPER PROPER TOP QUALITY. Thanks for uploading this all time great. Im all grown up now but hey this is still one of my faves ever. These are the true kingz of these tingz.
@s14man I'm afraid i was one of them, cruisin around in my ford escort rs turbo with this tune on. was 20 n single bk then had all d time in the world. Life was so much simpler. Bt now wit a wife n 3 very lively kids n a fat dog i was lucky enough to find d time to write this msg!! LOL
Respect to artists like Equinox, Bizzy B, Paradox, Fanu, Macc etc (labels) Subtle Audio, Inperspective Records, Scientific Wax, Bassbin are still keeping it real today, the jungle beats are still there if you look beneath the surface
Got played to death & even regular handbag clubs were spinning it but I still love it, the best crossover tune unleashed outa de jungle, I never had much time for that Shy FX - Original Nuttah or M Beat - Incredible, there was a real resentment for crossing over into the mainstream from junglists at the time, the idea of selling out, I think thats forgotten about with the new generation today
music is seen as a commodity, marketing, chasing that $ mentality, thats what happens when the majors get involved it rips out its soul, its a pity all underground genres suffer this fate in the end, I know there are still pockets of resistance in making music with substance rather than profit, even tho its always in a minority, those tunes will be what will be remembered in time unlike that Clownstep, Jump Up nonsense you here mostly today
yo well good to see people who still know their shit nowdays i mean i wasent there when all this was out was about 7 lol grew up with this stuff and agree with you 100% i am in the young genaration but have the tast of yours. respect
Growing up at age 7 & digging this is a damn good start for developing a decent taste in music, just think when this was about Boy/Girl Bands were all the rage & saturated the legal radio waves with the evils of Pop music & to think the radio police were putting pressure on the pirates to shut down for playing Jungle & other music genres like Reggae, Dancehall, Garage, Hip Hop, Soul etc that gets no support by all those licenced commercial radio stations playing the same music
i remember where i heard this for the first time ...i was in pure records (birmingham) and mc lenni owned the shop and as soon as he spun this track on the decks i loved it ...so much so i bought it straight away , even though i didnt own ant decks ....... those were the days
