  • @Wildernessbirchridge you are most very welcome. you adopted Nedda and it is a shame you are not fufilling your agreement to not breed her......

NON BREEDING homes....... that is where they are meant to be and not bred... your girl spent her life racing to then be a broodmare and was promised to not be bred.....what a shame.

  • 13 pictures in this video were standardbreds who have either been relocated or stayed with us until their last days.... They are all loved and we certainly make all attempts to educate the public in changing their life after they race.....

Many beleive they are throwaways and only good for one thing racing to then go to slaughter..... but we strongly beleive if given a chance can be anything we want them to be..........thanks to all who have opened their homes-families-barns to a standardbred.

  • Love this breed!!! I have owned one for 9 years...........

  • I just LOVE this and see some of friends in it. And horses I got to know over the summer months. This Vidoe is PERFECT! I now own a Standardbred mare... and rode and trained a Gelding all last summer...what wonderful horses, and I never knew they come so Large! I have a 17hh mare! I never dreamed I would ever own.

Thank You to Morningstar Acres.... ~SMILES~

  • @NigeltheGunBroker you were doing well until you deceived us. We gave you the opportunity to be known for something you love doing and it all got thrown away...why.......you could not accept our request for full committment. no worries. we only ask that you respect your agreement ....

  • does someone at the club own the horse at 3:00 now? like have they sold him/her?

  • All the standardbreds in the video are owned by club members- to my knowledge he hasn't been sold

  • So beautiful!!

    your doing such great work!

  • song: Johnny Reid- Thank you

  • Beautiful! Standy's are the most under-rated breed in the world, my mare Flicka is fantastic, so willing and eager to please, I will always have standy's from now on.

  • So beautiful =D

  • That was a gorgeous video, nice choice of song.

I have owned two standardbreds in the past, the second one I currently own - she's great!

    Just a pure lovebug.

    Standardbreds are SUPER versatile.

They can do ANYTHING! (And I'm not exaggerating that)

The only thing you need to be careful with (if you're a jumper) is the one's who are pin-fired because their injuries can reoccur.

  • WOW! That was beatiful! Whats the name of the song?

  • Great horse

  • tears to my eyes! i had 3 retirees and 2 of them couldn't canter unless it was uphill LOL! it just takes retraining for some-my 2 needed help trotting too. 1 could do both tho. some are nuts coming off the track but its just some adjustment they need, mine were all fine in a week or two. racetrack to a nice field? i'd go nuts too! hahahaha

lovely video!!!!! I LOVE MY STANDARDBREDS! i have one 34 yr old now, but the other 2 lived till 31 and 34.

  • You guys did a great job! I work at the track and am always trying to find homes for these great horses. That is what i hear from alot of people can'e canter, hot ect.. I have a grey 10 year old that still races and i ride him all the time!!

  • You brought tears to my eyes! Thanks so much!

  • Great job! So many beautiful horses, and of course such diversity in their second careers!

  • absolutly beautiful :)
