not to be critical of your method, but it looks like you are movin along the line too fast. i usually go about half that speed. sometimes they will release if the bait moves too fast. friend of mine lives in scotland, and on a good day just in a little marsh pond he has, we can pull up half a bushel.
Who needs a clue how to do it correctly as long as we have fun and catch crabs? Enlighten me on the ways of the wise if I have no clue! Haven't ever seen any other way of doing it to be honest.
