it most probably is because i downloaded it before and it said beta.....what i would do is wait till they have fully tested the messenger first because beta means all of the programmes inside it e.g. video call may have not been fully tested.....stick with windows live messenger 8.5. By the way if u ever try to downoad something that says beta on the end of it then your computer might be at risk so be warned as that could contain harmful stuff.

this is a tip for all of u guys who have the same problem i had,when you log in in to the beta a little window is going to pop up just drag it to the botton where the clock is at and just keep draging until you dont see it anymore and use the msn but dont press send report or the other one and you can use the msn enjoy
