  • I enjoy the music even more for the body language of swaying, so keep at it! I like this, and I also like Johnny Jake`s version. Check out his videos and see what I mean. Thank you!

  • Hi Ernst,

You are just great Ernst, your playing is perfect, the sound is perfect for this song and your "dancing" gives it even more feeling. Keep on, I love it.

  • Hi Ernst After I read about ridiculous swaying around, I just looked better, and my decision and conclusion is: You are a very good dancer too (I`m swear I did not laughing) You play here very good like always . next time try a ballet shoes, it will be more attractive and festive. (lol)

I wish to all your family A Happy New Year and Merry Christmas.

    Your friend, Nathan M

  • Hi Ernst,

A very beautiful harmony and an accurate playing.

I am amazed that your playing does not deviate from harmony part of the backing at all!

  • I`m sometimes embarressed myself when I see the finished video and see me swaying around. But sometimes playing a tune it makes my legs moving on their own. I hope it does not look too ridiculous.

Or next time I`ll tie myself down to the bookshelf behind me :-))

  • @BurnsErnst Don't worry about moving about, Ernst. If you don't move to great music like this, then you really need to check for a pulse! :-)

  • Wow Ernst, just loved that, the sound was excellent, your playing is always perfect, that tune must warm up the your fingers ready to go out in the cold haha

    Christmas Greetings

    Ric

  • Greetings, Ernst !

From the classic film starring Joseph Cotten...

I always enjoyed the Shads' arrangement of this...kind of has that reggae or ska feel to it, which gives it a little bounce ...

You went right along with the feel, shuffling about while you played - good fun !

I don't know if you tried experimenting with the Telecaster or this song, but the Tele's even treblier and would emulate a zither or auto harp nicely.

    I love it, regardless.

    Regards, Dan.

  • Big !!! Really BIG Ernst !!! BRAVO !!! All the stars !

  • Hi Ernst,

I don't remember him dancing in the shadows on the dark wet streets of Vienna. lol

Great playing as is your trademark.

    Best wishes,

    Brian

  • Hi Ernst

That was great. The sound has a hint of a zither used in the original.

Looking forward to your 2011 covers.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    George

  • Du likna nästan Benny Torstensson, han som var med i Visknallarna
