  • Nyan nyan! :D ... no?

  • woof woof?

  • wan wan = doggie, right?

  • @Cptraktorn ワンワン (wan wan) is the sound a dog makes in Japan. It's like 'Bow Wow'

  • @jmilco ah ty ;>

  • isnt wan wan the same as: WROF WROF? XD

  • OMG lol its true why are your ratings so low hahaha i love this videos very entertaining lol: Also that would be the sound representing dog barking

  • won won is a dogs bark!

  • lol

Way too many "Sou nan da"!

    disturbing xD

  • woof woof ^-^

  • great work Victor, big fan, keep it up ! thanks

  • wan wan - The Japanese word for the sound a dog makes.

    :D YAY!

  • Your methods are great! We could also refer to a dog as a ワンコ (wanko) although it resembles another vulgar word which I wont mention here. We should also be aware that although Victors method could be used, the proper way to refer to an animals gender would be 雌 (Mesu : Female) and 雄 (Osu: Male). Keep up the great work victor!

  • i don't understand why ur ratings are so low :S

    anyways, kawaii lesson XD

  • because some asshat bombed his rating some how.

  • @shadedscript bots

  • With all the looping , I half expected it to turn into a techo-mix.

  • I think wan wan is the japanese equivalent for Wuf wuf,

  • and cats say nyao nyao and cos say mou mou :3 im not dumb afterall

  • Most of you are correct that "wan wan" is a onomatopoeia equivalent to "woof woof". But, I think an important point here is that you can actually use the word wan wan as a noun in itself. So instead of calling it a dog, you can refer to it as a wan wan.

PS. this word also has the exact same meaning in Chinese.

  • I have a question, how long did it take for you to learn fluent japanese?

  • I feel kinda sad knowing that "wan-wan" reference... are those French Bulldogs really popular in Japan or something? (I see them in NYC constantly, but have noticed quite a few so far on youtube vids in Japan as well)

  • Just today I learned that the 'Ko' before 'Inu' made it a "Puppy" ! Yes, I'm very excited about being able to understand part of the conversation!

    thank you Mr. Victor ^^

  • Yes, it is exciting to realize you are starting to learn!

  • かわいい犬がいた

  • creaaaaappy

  • and pigs say, bu-bu xD

  • CERCL

  • Wan wan!~

It's the japanese onomatopoeia for barking. :DDD

    I is so smart, eh?

  • kawaii desu yo!!!

P.S. Wan wan is "woof woof" <3

  • the loops are hilarious!

  • lol nice video i feel like im being talked to like a baby! oh and wan wan! woof woof!

  • this is awesome!

  • WHOA!! i learnd SO MUch in so little on this one..YOU should keep going out and taking the Camera outside more often ^^..its easier to learn it when u actually here it in conversation U RULE DUDE

  • Would saying: Minna-san, inu ga arimasen yo. be correct ? Oh and looking it up I found out that it means woof woof, also found out that the pig says boo boo lol ??

  • According to Google's (often crappy) translator "wan wan" means Bowwow. I did my homework sensei! :D R-chan

  • Was your wife the woman who was with you also petting the dog? Just curious. R-chan

  • its basically woof woof in japanese right? Thanks for the lesson

  • Wan wan = woof woof.

  • My labs did not understand, and now they may be a little afraid of me! ;)

  • Oh i'll just mention this anyway. Little kids refer to dogs as wan wan.

  • I'd be cheating if i answered this question... wan wan wa kawaii :)

  • AHAHAHH this blonde girl in my japanese class one year said this "Wan wan? So the dogs dont bark in japan they say Wan wan? lol whole class started busting up lauging

  • oops, wrong account, dunno how you manage dude :)

  • Great name!

  • and i thank you for it, what i was thinking about to begin with was a tad too long really

  • are ka/ne/no all question endings depending on what kind of question you are asking?

I'm guessing Ka goes after desu if you are enquiring as to the existance of something, ne goes after desu kinda to get confirmation of the existance being correct and no is used as an ending after a verb?

    so if you were saying:

is it a puppy? it would be desuka

it's a puppy right? it is desu ne (as was in the video)

wanna play? it is just 'no' with a questioning tone to your voice

    am i right?

  • your right about most of it,

but i would also like to know about "no" at the end of a sentence. putting "no" sounds cuter to me, so im guessing girls say it more than boys? ..?

  • okidoki, i'd made a note of my 'guessed' differences of the different endings, i'll stick a question mark next to 'no' then.

    thanks :)

  • Cercl.

  • ruff ruff

    arf arf

    bark bark

  • WAN WAN is the sound of a dog barking.

  • また遅刻しちまったよ。

Everyone else already beat me to this... but yeah "wan wan" is woof woof and "nya nya" is meow meow. And that was a little scary, I'll be honest... !!!

  • Wan wan is what Japanese think dogs sound like :p

Also all this video needs is some techno music.

  • Wan Wan (Japanese)

    Woof Woof (English)

    Bau Bau (Italian)

    Even dogs speak different languages!

  • Vov Vov (Danish) xD

  • isn't it an Onomatopoeia?

Wan Wan would be the sound of a Dog barking

the way Nyan Nyan would be the sound a cat makes?

  • I got no idea what Wan Wan means but it's written in Katakatana ( i think... ) which is used for foreign words...

So i'm guessing Wan Wan means One One or possibly Eleven mispronounced by someone :P

  • lol i think sou nan da is burned into my head forever

  • I knew that too~

This video is like a Japanese MAD (^ω^) you've been on ニコニコ動画 for too long~

I've listened like 10 times XD and I still cant make out the whole 子犬ですねまだ sentence I only hear 子犬(not sure lol)まだ

  • Ido013: Im so glad Im not the only one who had that problem! And to my ears, "Sawatte ii desu ka" sounded like "sabeeta"

  • That sentence sounds more like sawattesuka XD

  • Cute puppy!

  • lol I already know

    bow wow

  • the kamera keeps on going back to the butt...what does she see...what does she see...kanojo wa miru nani ka?

    MVHH

  • Wan Wan! Is Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a dog makes like 'woof woof' :)

  • Yup yup.

Don't little children say wanwan-chan or something? *Thinks*
