  • Best thing I've ever seen. I'm high

  • I fucking love this guy.

  • @ KripDrip @ please get educated.... you either blind, dumb or both.

  • ROFL ROFL ROFL

if this guy is one of the 5 best the left can produce, then I can happily conclude that they are fucked in the head

  • @TheJayEffkay

Fucked in the head is considered by the majority to be someone who chooses his ego and fantasy over facts and truths. So fuck you fucked in the head fucker.

  • @VonManavis

    these arent truths mate

if you think they are, well I still stand by my statement faggot

  • here's the full clip

    youtube.com/watch?v=gZTceWVtERo

  • thanks lawrence

  • why do u want kids smokin pot? u probably also want it sold in school vending machines too just like the cinnamon flavored condoms u liberals put there.

  • no wonder msnbc ratings are in the garbage. who watches this shit besides stupid pussy ass liberal faggots!

  • The T-Party and right wing evangelics are your typical alcheys

  • wow this man speaks the truth!!

  • "If alcohol is a tiger, cannabis is merely a mouse." - Rosie Boycott

  • how come when ever i see this dude he's always mad lol

  • I like this guy :D

  • Good video

  • this is the greatest rant ever to be aired on national television. I always liked this guy isnt he a narrater for national geographic, i love getting high and watching that shit.

  • yeess!!

  • This is why I don't watch Fox. Thank you Mr. O'Donnell.

  • @violinstupid

I dont get it, why dont you watch fox? if you dont agree with this guy, you are a worthless uneducated dumbass.

  • @shieldoffreedom

I think you may have misread/misinterpreted violinstupid's comment.

This isn't a segment from Fox, btw.

  • @violinstupid I don't think you understood me. I completely agree with Mr. O'Donnell. Fox is filled with arrogant conservatives.

  • It's really amusng reading comments from people who wouldn't even recognize Marijuana if they seen it... living here in Canada it never ceases to amaze me that there are actually people out there in the world who take the nonsense spouted by anti-drug organizations seriously.

  • legalize al the world

  • See wish my kids were in prison comment. I am a retired Marine shame on all you. You have had brothers that the DEA sheepdipped that gave there lives to stop drug importing. I have received several e-mails cusing me out. Again dopers are at the bottom.

  • @thomasyuma1 The more DEA agents who give their lives, the better. Drunken hypocrites.

  • See wish my kids were in prison comment. I am a retired Marine shame on all you. You have had brothers that the DEA sheepdipped that gave there lives to stop drug importing.

  • @thomasyuma1 To clarify: The DEA and those who support them have destroyed MILLIONS of lives in the US and abroad. "Land of the free, home of the brave" has become "land of the government-employed leech praying for a cost of living adjustment, home of the coward who hides behind hired guns."

  • dont listen to the lies. No one gets arrested for smoking pot or possesing small amounts. These people in jail u talking about are the major dealers and traffickers selling it and distributing hundreds of not thousands of pounds of drugs.

  • @KripDrip People do get arrested and/or fined for small amounts, which reduces their ability to find a job, get student aid, and so on, so the impact on society is much worse than some annoying paperwork and a fine for the user. Also, people shouldn't be imprisoned for producing, possessing, or selling larger amounts. Other crimes associated with dealing, yes. If we had rational laws for production and distribution, then people should definitely be required to do business within that framework.

  • @KripDrip You're insane. In MOST states they will put you in jail for having a nick. Do you get lucky cops sometimes? Yes. But most cases they are taking you to jail. Unless you're a pretty boy with no record at all, and told the cop "yes i do have marijuana in the vehicle." Even then you're usually screwed.

  • L-E-G-A-L-I-Z-E

  • Some people are ignorant retards.

    The rest smoke pot.

  • alcohol ain't bad, marijuana ain't bad either

  • @olifantgamer alcohol is poision u idiot...

  • @babiphat20 alcohol is part of many cultures like in Holland where i come from, alcohol has been produced for ages, an i hope you can respect that, and though marijana can become legal globally( and i sure hope it does), alcohol will never be illegal, so it's better to fight just for marijuana instead of against alcohol too. let there be freedom for both alcohol people and marijuana people.

  • Bravo, Lawrence O'Donnell!!!!!

  • I can't get a job right now because of a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana in 1998. I completed all the required "Treatment" programs. I payed my fines and did my community service. It took 2 years to get through all of the crap so this didn't effect me in the future but it still is. I served in the US Marines and got an honorable discharge since then and it doesn't matter to employers. They do a criminal background search and then won't hire me to even stock bananas.

  • 1 dude has never smoked the reefer

  • Because this place is a fucking police state.

  • Ok ramahe. *note my english spelling of your name* Thank you for setting me straight. The next time I try and correct someone, I will make sure it is spelled in all languages correctly. Especially when we are talking about something as important as pot. Your point was totally lost by me. Mine however, was valid. Thank you professor. By the way, "spelt"? Really? Dipzhit.

  • I am a 51-year-old mother of three. I have smoked for almost 30 years. I would rather have my children smoke than drink alcohol. No I don't smoke with my kids, but I do discuss the issues with them. I an not proud of the fact that I indulge in illegal activity and would like to see the laws changed.

  • @sahm160723185 Well im sure proud that im engaging in an illegal activity simply because i know im making the right choice. Id rather be addicted to marijuana and live a long functional life than be addicted to alcohol and end up who knows where. In a gutter with no job, or dead. All of us should be proud that we can govern ourselves and make the better choices by NOT obeying the government. "illegal activity" is just a scary phrase. Im proud to live MY life not sombody elses while i bother none

  • Amen

  • @ thomasyuma1 "legalizing" with a z dipshit. Toke up and learn some grammar yourself.

  • @willsontrilogy Hey I'm for legalising all drugs but I have to say something here. "Legalising" in English English is spelt with an 'S'. Legalizing in American English is spelt with a 'Z' so either way of spelling it is technically correct dependent on location. @ thomasyuma1 one day you may be visiting one of your "kids" in prison. Prohibition, what a great idea. Billions to organized (note US spelling) crime and a massive escalation of drug use throughout the time prohibition has existed. Hmm?

  • I've submitted papers to my school about the same issue and half my teachers agree that marijuana is safer, healthier, and better than alcohol. Now let's pack a bowl and fight cancer! Thumbs up if you agree with what I'm talking

  • Just read what the people say who are for legalising it. The profanity the spelling and punctuation. Just who I want around my kids.

  • @thomasyuma1 You can't tar everyone with the same brush.Arsehole

  • @thomasyuma1 99% of YouTube comments are written by illiterate morons whether they consume marijuana or not. You have good reasons to keep the "marijuana culture" away from your kids, but most of the negative aspects of that culture emerged from the prohibition, not from the marijuana.

  • His comments about presidents does Monica and Clinton ring a bell so much for respect for the law. There is no test to tell if you smoked it ten minutes ago or two days ago. You are not safe driving if you are high its just like being drunk. They cant tell if you are high from a blood or urine test right now. If they could I would be for legalising it. If anyone tells you they are ok to work or drive especialy public transportation or dangerous equipment they are full of crap.

  • "Without the BOOZE" ....I love this man! let me buy him a drink! .... oh no wait let me buy him an 1/8th and a blowjob, he deserves it!

  • WOOHH. you go bro xD

  • "sexy and i know it" on the sidebar? this video is sexy and youtube knows it

  • powerful as fuck

  • My only concern is the fact he references marijuana as 'harmless'.

Sorry, but smoking anything is harmful to the lungs. You must be an idiot (not saying he is) to believe it's ' completely harmless'.

  • @ThundagaFTW It's virtually harmless. When people smoke pot, they do so in much smaller quantities than cigarettes, and it's not cancerous. While the biggest stoner will probably have one or two joints a day at the absolute most, the typical cigarette smoker has a pack a day. It doesn't do any harm worth considering dangerous.

  • @TheoreticChaos The biggest stoner will only have one or two joints a day? Hahah I know people that smoke 10-15 a day, or more.

  • @gayfarmerboy I have no idea where you live, or what kind of people live there, but I'm pretty sure 10-15 times a day would leave you passed out constantly.

  • @gayfarmerboy

    Your name is "Gayfarmerboy"

Do i need to say more?

  • @ThundagaFTW Smoking alcohol is even more harmful than smoking marijuana.

  • @HitfulVids Smoking alcohol, eh?

    Obvious pothead, ..

  • THIS REPORTER FOR PRESIDENT!

  • Well done, couldn't have said it better myself! I can't believe its 2011 and this is still illegal... Its about time we put an end to this hypocrisy.

  • mmkay?

  • I have never commented on youtube before, but this is just wonderful.

  • "Much, Much, Healthier!"

  • Lawrence O'Donnell has courage and integrity. Something most politicians lack. It would have been good if he mentioned that our marijuana laws ARE BLATANTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

  • REMEMBER WHEN WEED WAS COMPARED TO CAFFEIN(?)

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THAT NOTION(??)

DECISIONS AGAINST THE USE OF MARIJUANA ARE BEING MADE EVERYDAY OVER POTS OF COFFEE - AND ITS PROBLY JAMAICAN.

ALCOHOL IS NO COMPARISON TO MARIJUANA(!!!)

LETS MAKE CAFFEINE ILLEGAL(!!!) HOW IS IT ANY DIFFERENT(???)

LEGALLY FED TO CHILDREN THROUGH SODA POP AND THE MASSES ARE DEPENDENT UPON IT EVERY MORNING, NOON AND NIGHT.

STOP THE SENSELESS WAR ON WEED. (!!!) LEGALIZE IT (!!!)

  • @MidMASS2 only dislike??

  • for anyone who says msnbc is biased for the president or for left wing govt solely, here's lawrence o'donnell to shut you up

  • Marijuana isn't illegal because the government "cares" about the health of the country, its ALL ABOUT MONEY.

It threatens current greedy corporate businesses and because its a plant it cannot be patented, so no sole company can claim it and make money off of it.

Anti marijuana campains are funded by alcohol and tobacco industries and a lot of others who are worried about losing a small percent of their six figure monthly salaries.

  • AMEN. I drive by a local bar here all the time - in the neighborhood I grew up in and I will tell you - every night the parking lot is PACKED with the teachers, cops, politicians, nurses, doctors, lawyers, and I don't know who else - but they are there getting DRUNK every time. Alcohol - which is a large factor in many violent crimes, including sexual assault and murder.

  • smoke weed everyday, get educated everyday. thats how i do. fuck the federal government, corrupt assholes since the start.....

they think they have all the fucking answers.

  • We need more people across the nation and across all news networks to speak up like Lawrence O'Donnell. The approval rating for legalizing marijuana is at an all-time high, and we need to act on it.

  • @thefalkonmj The MPP (Marijuana Policy Project) had a PSA w/Cheech or Chong, and they said that everyone needs to come out. Tell ppl they use marijuana. Many good people hide the fact and the community is left with the only people they hear about - which are typically in the news for trouble. We had a poll here and it showed that of the ppl that approved making marijuana legal, a large portion of them made over 100K a year. Money talks.

  • I'll tell you how they sleep at night.....they drink so much till they pass out wake up in the morning with a hangover more worried about how to get rid of the hangover and forgot about friends and loved ones they put in jail because they made a choice to smoke and get high than drink to get high.

  • WTG Lawrence...they sleep well at night because the politicos care about getting re-elected = Job One

Speaking as a retired detective, my profession likes MJ prohibition because you give us about 13 billion to fly around in helicopters, etc.

  • @avatarmn. Production of paper from hemp is cheaper, of higher quality and production is way less harmful to the environment, i.e. less deforestation and fewer pollutant chemicals used for cultivation compared with cotton....and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

  • preachin' to the choir here ....amen brother!

  • Finally, a news person actually speaking the TRUTH about the laws against MJ use, and how being charged with a crime has ruined ppl...et, do we give piss tests to congress??? Hmmmm? :D nope, didn't think so...they use everything!

  • I work hard so when i get off its all good for me to have a smoke break . Its better than a newport

  • The only time i have ever agreed with msnbc

  • This is why I get my news from these people...

  • marijuana heals!!!! the make to much money from the prohibition.

  • fuck yeah omg this is amazing. fuck the government

  • I honestly don't get why everyone doesn't smoke weed? Yet, people continue to ruin their livers all the time, just because drinking is socially acceptable.

  • @lumberjacks22 Why should they? Some people don't like being high or they want to a clear mind.

  • We all need to smoke weed everyday.

  • If*

  • @Dude55622 check out that link I just posted. It shows how the government would make millions of they legalized it.

  • @Seattlenwhc The pharm. companies are in the late stages of finishing a deal to sell a marijuana pill :/ so in a very bad bad way they will make millions this way instead of hiring farmers and generally REAL people to work. As we speak OBAMA is shutting down CA dispensaries . Look it up on here. It just happened! They shut down so many places and just put even more innocent people out of work.

  • @Seattlenwhc watch?v=4GGQISORVqU

  • Marijuana is a schedule 1 drug, meaning it's more dangerous then cocaine which is a schedule 2 drug. However, weed is supposed to be a gateway drug to a substance that according to our Government is less dangerous? FUCK THAT!!

  • thestrangerDOTCOM/seattle/legalize-it/Content?oid=8743947

  • I am a Military Veteran, I have a Bachelors or Arts degree in Political Science with a Minor in Philosophy & a Minor in Gender Studies, I am athletic & muscular, I am a Community Organizer, I am a Progressive leader, I am a political activist, I support "Occupy Wall Street", I am a novice in Mixed Martial Arts, and I smoke Marijuana!

Who says that we are lazy and unproductive? Ugly jealous ignorant people do!

  • @Vote4Nava Stop bragging, the same could apply to a user of any other drug.

  • @MidMASS2 Stop being a (jealous) Hater. And 'No', the same does not "apply to a user of any other drug": Not Alcohol, not Heroin, not Crack, not Angel Dust, and not many other 'legal' drugs.

  • @MidMASS2 any other drug ? LOL

  • WELL put! LOVE&PEACE ;**

  • illegal or not im still gonna keep smoking it.

  • I love the very end.. "I don't know how they can sleep at night... without the booze." lmao!! priceless.

  • Stoned > Drunk..... shit it even sounds better to be stoned

  • Politcians Suck Ball Sacks

  • We have reached the tipping point. A new poll shows that 50% of our people believe that marijuana should be legalized. This will only increase, like how it has been for years. More people will be educated about the facts day after day as the ignorant either die or come to their senses. Eventually the government will have no other choice but to make it legal, thanks to the power of the people.

  • the gallup poll is useless. they only ask a few hundred people out of a nation of 300 million.

  • @makinmahicfractals You're misinformed

  • One glass of wine a day will *not* cause problems for anybody unless they have some allergy, but one joint a day *can cause* many permanent health problems, albeit psychological ones, typically psychosis/schizophrenia and these are often *chronic* conditions.

In particular anyone tending towards Asperger's or Autism is particularly likely to have negative consequences *depending on the prominent psycho-active ingredient* in the particular weed or pot or oil used.

  • @MakinMagicFractals There's never been any true and significant determination that something like 1 joint a day would harm you. At all. Life experience alone should tell you how much bullshit is in such a statement in that it will cause long-term psychosis.

Another thing to note, smoking a joint a day would not be like drinking a glass of wine. It'd be more on par with getting fairly drunk every day. And I think we all know that isn't exactly harmless to your health.

  • @MakinMagicFractals Wow, there's so many things wrong in that statement i don't know where to begin. I don't mean wrong as in opinion but wrong as in science/evidence supporting cannabis. Where did you get your info, the D.A.R.E. website...

  • @suavebk Heavy consumers of cannabis at age 18 are over 600% more likely to be diagnosed with schizophrenia over the next 15 years than those did not take it. Experts estimate that between 8% and 13% of all schizophrenia cases are linked to cannabis use during teen years.

  • @MidMASS2 schizophrenia isn't that simple though...theres no way those percentages are concrete. its obviously a chance for each and every individual...but you have to also consider genetic, intellectual, and social factors...it's not that black and white just because you choose to use MJ.

  • @MidMASS2 600% huh.....like I said I'm not going to bother trying to argue with you,the whole "weed makes people schizo" myth died years ago, but you're entitled to your opinion. If anything though keeping cannabis illegal as it is now MORE teenagers have access to it than if if was legalized and regulated like alcohol and tobacco.

  • @suavebk Yes, 600%. The % might look huge, but the actual numbers aren't that big. Like 12 opposed to 2. This isn't my opinion, these numbers are from different scientific studies that confirm the same thing. And I'm actually for the legalization of cannabis.

  • @MakinMagicFractals Question these junk science reports. Until NIDA allows research to find the benefits of the plant we will not have good science.

  • @normlnorml Personal experience is *not* a junk report !!

  • @normlnorml UK research is both good and on-going and has shown quite clearly and without question that the psycho-active substance in pot/weed that is good and safe and helps with chronic pain etc. is pretty much without serious side-effects, *but* the other main psycho-active ingredient (the one that gets you "high") is a very different matter - worryingly both the weed and pot on the street now have considerably greater concentrations of the dangerous substance than in the past ('70s/80s)

  • Just finished reading this very provocative book entitled, Marijuana is Safer So Why Are We Driving People to Drink by Steve Fox, Paul Armentano, Mason Tvert. It's topic is timely and relevant and I highly recommend it to all who are passionate about this topic as I am.

  • i agree lawrence completely. I live in wisconsin, where booze is basically a part of life. My father and mother have both let me drink, but both are completely against smoking weed. WTF! My dad has bought me beer and liquor before, but flips out if i smoke weed. Its stupid as fuck, i can get drunk as hell and black out and have absolutely NO CONTROL over what I am doing, but if i puff a j and chill out its wrong. bull shit..

  • @mc9391 i know. my mom was the same. just tell them facts about weed like i did. now she knows and cool with it

  • Lawrence O'Donnell BURNS IT DOWN!

  • If the legalize it then the pharmacies would lose money, jails would lose money, and the DEA would lose money... It's obvious why they won't legalize it, the amount of tax dollars made from legalizing it wont be as high as the money already being made from man made pills and people going to jail for a meaningless crime of using a natural herb... The DEA gets so much money to enforce drugs and 70% of it's used on marijuana... It feels like such a waste of money right?

  • Hell Yea, I need pain pills, but just cuz i smoke weed, & i don't take nothing more then loritabs 7.5 mg 4 x's aday..My legs have been operated on, dr's have done what they can, then yo get a new dr. that thinks i'm a drug addict..not hardly..the weed helps my muscle disase, & the pain pills take care of my joint pain..I CAN"T SMOKE WEED< BUTS IT OK TO TRY TO PUT ME ON STRONG ASS PAIN KILLERS<THEY CAN STICK THE PILLS UP < WHERE THE SUN DON"T SHINE :) I"LL KEEP MY WEED ANY DAY , over pills!!!!

  • Thank God for Lawrence O'Donnell having an open mind.

  • This needs WAY more views!

  • im with amazzzin, full time Union job, went to college in my spare time, graduated phi theta kappa, and on the deans list, and im a stoner from a long line of stoners. and dont like to drink..... but i have to sneak in the shadows like a crack head.

  • L.O. Just got my vote for president

  • please let this be the start of legalisation. I hope more and more people will convinced that marijuana is a safer drug than alcohol. I'm so happy right now, i'm gonna roll one up to celebrate

  • They can sleep at night... with MARIJUANA!

  • the fact that it's still illegal in this day and age just shows how outdated the American government is. The goddamn old motherfuckers running shit need to die and let the new motherfuckers fix it or at least make it better for today's America

  • lol .... u gonna put all the blame on the american government when every other country on the planet also keeps marijuana illegal. Theres not even one country where its legal. Dont put all the blame on america when everyone else is doing the exact same thing!

  • @KripDrip That's because America forces all the other nations through the UN to have these policies.

  • @KripDrip who gives a shit about what everyone else is doing.. America is the trend setter... boob

  • where's the full video talking about the gallop poll>?

  • Most intelligent argument evdr

  • thats the truth.

  • Very wise man... Marijuana all day!

  • I love this guy. He knows how it is.

  • Epic win.

  • Comment removed

  • PREACH!

  • The REAL reason it's illegal is because it threatens too many of their buddies big business. Like paper, oil and many more.

  • @wesiam88 Exactly.

  • @wesiam88 Paper? WTF?

  • @avatarmn you can get more fibre used for paper production from growing hemp fibre than growing trees. It grows faster, and you get more per square km.

  • @wesiam88 very true

  • @wesiam88 except they would use hemp for that not marijuana, making hemp illegal is ridiculous because you can't even get high off it. that's what's threatening their business. they have no reason to make marijuana illegal.

  • the real reason is illegal is cause the people allow the government to keep it that way. Potheads dont vote. Keep ur elected officials accountable or throw the bums out.

  • @wesiam88 True story. Everyone can grow weed at home, not everyone can make expensive painkillers at home. In terms of importance to the government: Money >>>> Global health

  • i smoke everyday and have a full time job and my gpa is 3.4 so blow me government :)

  • @aMaZzZiiN I dont smoke at all and I have a full time volunteer job with a 4.2 GPA.... You're argument is invalid

  • @2zxxz2 You And NOT Too Many, Can Argue That It Is Invalid.

  • @2zxxz2 He's just proving the myth wrong on how some people think marijuana makes you stupid, or turns you into a lazy bum. Hell I know people that go to Cornell University and are engineering majors with a 3.8 gpa and smoke more than me... but hey big ups on the 4.2 gpa lol

  • @2zxxz2 He was making a statement, you CAN smoke weed and still have a good life.

I am a business owner, a good father, a good husband, I am fit and healthy and I also smoke the herb. I feel it is a better relaxant than alcohol and I trust my own judgement and research over blindly following government orders.

  • @aMaZzZiiN yea....and we should belive you just like that :)

  • @aMaZzZiiN No. Weed does not make you superhuman. You don't go to school, maintain a 3.4, have a job, and smoke every day. One, if not all of these claims are false. Period. Don't even try to argue.

  • @GTAIV4PS3 Motherfucker your an idiot, millions of very successful, smart people smoke weed everyday. I fuckin have straight a's and work part time, and i live on my own, and i'm only 18 bitch, and i've smoked since i was 12. There's not a damn thing wrong with it, he's not saying it makes him superhuman dumbass, it he's explaining that his marijuana smoking doesnt affect his ability to function any different than anyone else. Fuckin cunt

  • @THEGhostfacekillaaa Welfare isn't a part time job. I'm not against smoking weed. Obviously, as you scholarly vocabulary shows, I'm not smoking enough though.

  • @GTAIV4PS3 Well im didn't mean to go off on you man earlier, bad day, but i'm high as shit haha, no hard feelings

  • @aMaZzZiiN Got your back homie, fuck that dude

  • @aMaZzZiiN i smoke 4 times a day once before school once in and twice after and i have a 3.9
