i need your help. i live in the philippines and there are not much car seats available here and so i will be ordering mine at amazon. I therefore rely on customer reviews. i want to get the true fit c650. What are your thoughts on this? ALSO, does it have a cover for the crotch strap so that when it's hot or when my girl is wearing a skirt, it will not hurt her thighs?
@babybuchug I am also a car seat technician. The True Fit is a great car seat for children who are light, but tall. It rear faces to 35 lbs. If your daughter isn't really chunky, she would fit in it rear facing until around 4 years old, maybe longer. My babies are super chunky (30 lbs at 18 months old) and still fit great, but I wanted something that lasted longer for my kids, so chose a Radian XTSL and sold the True Fit.
this is too cute! thank you for sharing! i'm looking into getting the recaro for my son, it doesnt' look like it takes up too much space in the backseat..which is something i'm looking for..I haven't heard much about the recaro brand so still researching!

What kind of car do you have your Radian rear-facing in? Our whole family is tall, and moving the seats forward to fit our new Radian XT is not working. Fortunately we happen to be in the market for a new car so are looking for a car to fit our new car seat lol! Hoping it will fit RF in some sort of compact car like a Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Elantra.
great vid. i am in the proess if getting a carseat for my baby and we are interested in ERF. i am debating between these two carseats actually. since i have a small car (ford focus 08) and both of these are in the narrow category but still good regarding ERF. u mentioned the RECARO has less leg room but which do you prefer best. thank you.
Personally I like the XT/XTSL better. It installs great, has a higher RF limit and fits awesome with other seats. I wouldn't not buy another recaro. There have been too many recalls and the leg room isn't great for older kiddos.
For a 5 month old, the radian would fit him very well. It comes with infant padding and has very low harness slots. The recaro has some padding, but has very high slots for the lowest position. Your baby would not fit in that one until he's at least 10 months.

@bhailstone:I have an 86 Volvo 240GL. It has great leg room for taller car seats. Try it in the center and see if that fits.
@D103cc: I plan on rear facing until we hit the limits of our seats!

Awesome video! Its so great that more and more parents are recognizing the benefits of ERF and not turning their precious kids FF at a year.
