  • dinledim hristiyan oldum.

  • This song is beautiful <3

  • why in the fuck do they need 30k to record an album.. and they got 200k raised. holy shit. for CHRISTIAN SKA? the fact that 200k has even been invested into ska in total through the years makes me cry.

  • THEY ARE BACK IN LIKE 8 DAYS WHEN THEY START THE NEW ALBUM AHAHHHHHHHHHHH THEN WE ALL KNOW WHAT THT MEANS NEW TOUR

  • (-;lots o luv

  • Thank you for posting this... I'm going through a rough time right now and this brings me hope. I forgot about FIF... EXCELLENT band!

  • *fist bump* for the return!

  • Comment removed

  • They are getting back together!

  • Any other FIF songs like Every New Day? I'm new to them

  • @mphongsa Every New Day is kind of regarded among a lot of FIF fans as their greatest song, an anthem of hope. They really nailed it with that one. :) If you're looking for this epic, sweeping feeling in their other songs, here you go:

On Distant Shores (IMO this is FIF's opus, chills every time I listen after almost 10 years.)

    Something Like Laughter

    New Years Eve

    Farsighted

    Kamikaze

    Cannonball

    It Was Beautiful

  • Dam this is good, and I'm not even a christian. Turn this shit up loud....WOOOO

  • @mphongsa Aww yeah! Even during the time of my life I considered myself an atheist, I still enjoyed FIF. You don't have to be entrenched in dogma to love this music! Regardless of one's beliefs, the positivity and intelligence of this band resonates strongly. <3

  • Hey guys? They're back. *fist pump*

  • @hopiesalopie FIST PUMP!!!!!!

  • Five Iron Frenzy is COMIN BACK! heard they're workin on a new album!

  • this song gives me chills.

  • hah! I grew up in Denver. I remember seeing this band a few times back in the late 90s.

  • I wonder if God ever says to the angels, "Hit up a round of Every New Day for me, would ya?" I like to think He does.

  • @itskragus Must be tempting for God to not kill all the members of Five Iron so he could have them play in heaven. Seriously, I love ska music because of FIF and i was sad to see them breakup; i went to a Less Than Jake concert last week and it wasn't even close to how goo and talented Five Iron Frenzy was.

  • @ChangedbyCrazyLove

Yeah! I wold total jam to this band, I can't believe I never heard them in the 90"s. I guest I was too much into techno then.lol.. I miss the 90's

  • This is one of the most simply put, deep felt worship songs I've ever heard. I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

  • @ChangedbyCrazyLove I agree :D

  • I heard about this in relient k five iron frenzy. Then i was curious because the lyrics didn't make since, until i found out about this band. This is the reason why i like spaz music and trumpets! :D

  • I mean ska music XD

  • @FeedtheMachine100 lol you mean "Five Iron Frenzy is Either Dead or Dying"?

  • @ChangedbyCrazyLove Yes XD The title was confusing too. By the way is your name "ChangedbyCrazyLove" because of that one song from hawk nelson?

  • @FeedtheMachine100 Sort of, have you ever heard of Francis Chan? He is a wonderful speaker and has a book called Crazy Love, I was changed from my old self into the new me because of the crazy love of my Savior.

  • @ChangedbyCrazyLove Thats good to hear :) I've never read that book though.

  • not really a fan of religious music but this is catchy as hell.

  • he kinda sounds like patrick from fall out boy...but this is for Gods Glory ;D

  • @goodmediaproductions patrick from Fall Out Boy sounds like Reese :D

  • @goodmediaproductions no no no no no ..... Patrick sounds like REESE ROPER! This album came out WAY before FOB was even formed...

  • @bobbyewing311 oh..sorry my bad :)

  • @goodmediaproductions lol it's cool, these guys are awesome though.. too bad they split up

  • how do i love this song ; let me count the ways... how real , how true to the sinking spirit we all have at different times in our lives and how encouraging to that failing spirit!! Also, love the part about when young "i thought that i could fly'. I so remember flapping my arms while jumping off a wall at 4 years old-thinking i could fly if i practiced enough :)

  • hey if yall like ska, there is a band the insyderz are making a new album with Reese Roper, lending his vocals for a song or so, if you want to back the project, just go to kickstarter(dot)com and search for 'the insyderz'

  • This is one of my all time favorite bands, they helped me get through high school. I think this is their best song and I played this CD which I found used so much that it skips now of course. Though all the atheist/agnostic talk makes me want to be both 50/50. So maybe half my body can go to heaven and half can go to hell. I loved how Ricky Gervais ended the Oscars or Emmys by saying I want to thank god for making me an atheist.

  • man i havent heard this song since jr.high.its way sweet, good tune it takes me back.

  • Reese's voice is amazing o.o

  • thumbs up if you came here because of Relient K's song ;-) (five iron frenzy is either dead or dying)

  • thumbs up if you came here because of Relient K's song ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • WOAH! the band brave saint saturn has 4 members from five iron frenzy, if they are still making music then the rest of the band should totally get back together with them!

  • the intro to this song it was awesome

  • LSD makes every new day seem new, too. PERAZE DEH LAWED. :)

  • Love this song!!!

  • @mdy18 let's stomp them into the dust!

  • 5 people fell down while skanking.

  • Oh my gosh the guitarist went to my high school!

  • This song makes me think of my dead dad. He has been dead since september 2010.

  • que temazoooo cooll

  • This is an amazing song because of the music, and because of how the lyrics speak so firmly of the truths of God's word. How desperate we are for our savior. I know that the bible is true because of how it describes my heart to a T. And this song puts that to a melody and music. How awesome. :) And I mean, at least give this song the credit that it deserves. You can't say not to talk about "religion', when that's what this awesome band was about. And it's what this song is about.

  • I love reading these comments. People whining and complaining about religious fights and then I see a remark like this "rather that just going on about how great a guy that Jesus dude was."

And you wonder why people are fighting? Look at what you just said! I think some of the Atheist commenters need to calm down a bit. I'm not against you at all, you can belive what you want but stop with the stupid remarks.

If you don't want people responding to you don't post about Jesus and or God....

  • This just put a big smile on my face.

Why do people argue about their religious/non religious background?

I'm an atheist but it's still awesome music that I find talks about staying positive more than anything else- rather than just going on about how great a guy that Jesus dude was.

Honestly, I was listening to a band named 'Atheist' before listening to this but people don't talk about their faith or lack of. Just enjoy the awesome music. :)

  • -_-' Why are you people really arguing about religion, this is a song. If you like the song say then something preferably nice, and if you don't, then find a band/song you do like and stop with all of the religious remarks.

  • Look, Christianity is rubbish but this shit is great (I remember from when I was a pastor)

  • 3 people are going to burn in hell.

  • I saw this on G-rock

  • music is not connected to religions

but their lyrics can start a own riligion

  • i suggest the o.c supertones if u like this band

  • i dont care if bands are christain, atheist, agnostic, scientologist, as long as the music is good and they dont push their beliefs on to others, ther cool to me

  • Great tune. I remember going to roller rinks to see these guys and the insyderz years ago! Lol, and Reese would never sign autographs!

  • @Boogie2Dope hey if The Supertones and Insyderz can get back together so should FIF and The W's. That'd be a show I'd pay a disgusting amount of money to see. It's possible there could be a Five iron reunion in 2013.

  • @dylanjam Flight 180 too!

  • @dylanjam Ska Is Not Dead Tour 2013? It must happen!

  • @funkymonkeymovies you know it!

  • @funkymonkeymovies IT MUST!

  • @funkymonkeymovies You're gonna be so happy when you hear the news =D

  • @dylanjam I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!! PLEASE COME BACK FIF!!! WE MISS YOU!

  • @dylanjam you serious?

  • @Boogie2Dope Reese never signed autographs because he never wanted it to be about him. He always wanted to point to God for all glory. what a great guy and a great band

  • @Boogie2Dope i seen the insyderz, actually my first true CONCERT haha in Washintong NJ in like 99? o damn, lol

  • @Boogie2Dope ive got 2 autographs from him! :-D

  • @Boogie2Dope dude i totally forgot about the INSYDERZ! most awesome band- remember getting their cd for christmas

  • This song has kind of been my personal anthem over the last couple weeks.

  • listen i understand that you guys are mad at me because i insulted your precious five iron frenzy, but think about it. not everyone wants to hear constant references to god/jesus in their music. its presumptuous and alienating to a lot of people. maybe if i was listening to christian music i would expect it, but this is not my cup of tea.

  • Comment removed

  • @breatheska I understand man. Can't deny the shit's catchy though.

  • Great music can't be great music if you ignore the message.

  • I'm Agnostic and I love Five Iron Frenzy. Who cares if they're a Christian ska band? Great music is great music. Real talk.

  • I'm an atheist and I like this band you don't have to believe in god to like a band.

  • @zeristal I'm not an atheist but I couldn't agree more with you.

  • @zeristal atheist here as well

  • @zeristal atheist here as well, and couldnt agree more

  • @zeristal agreed, when someone is passionate about something and put it into their music, it can be amazing and thats what these guys did, i may not have the same beliefs as them but they still are able to move me.

  • @zeristal that's really cool dude. and you should give christianity a try if not so be it

  • @zeristal You don't have to be an athiest to like a non christian band either :P

Music is music homie, just listen and enjoy :]

  • @zeristal true but how can you sing a song directed towards christianity, or even listen to it. atheist do not believe in God. makes no sense

  • @zeristal it's different when the band is preachy like this

  • @zeristal You're right, I'm a christian, but still I love Streetlight Manifesto. (which has a few atheist songs)

  • @SkateboardBassguitar not to judge but..the first commandment says to love the Lord Your God with everything you are.

  • @zeristal Atheist FIF fan here too! I miss this band!

  • Comment removed

  • @breatheska what kind of robot tool are you? "breathe ska" ohhh your cool now kid!, go up to your room and fart in a shoe box boy!

  • @wfp4639 okay i will while you sing church songs and pray with your jesus music

  • @breatheska

umm maybe if you listened to some Christian music you'd have a change of mind. It's not ALL hymns and such, I don't know if you knew this, but they play the fray on Christian radio, and we play it at our church. There's a lot of songs played on christian radio that is also played on secular radio stations.

  • @breatheska it sounds like you dislike five iron because they represent Christ, not because of the actual music they played. They still apeal to many non-Christians because they simply enjoy rocking out to the music its self, even if the message doesn't apply to that person.

  • @dylanjam

    yeah!

  • @breatheska your a wanker mate!! the music itself is great, and thats what matters. your a disgrace to ska music, and everything you just said is an insult to ska.

  • @breatheska

dude what kinda person are you to say that FIF is lame and that they suck ?

you need to get like a life and really if you think they are so lame why would you comment on this then?

  • @breatheska U MAD :3

  • @breatheska im sorry but the God who invented music... deserve to recive all the songs that FIF would like to make and all of the bands in the world.. please come out of your box.

  • @chikislea wow was that even in english? im out of my "box" dude

  • @chikislea don't worry, it made sense to me :)

  • I've raped the replay button...

  • After hearing this song again for years, I've been inspired to cover all my favorite FIF songs for piano...this song and World Without End would always make me cry or get choked up.

  • PRAISE THE LAWD!!!! lol, hilarious.

  • Yes most epic ska band

  • Listening to this song with my brother as a kid

    Now he's moved out

havent listen to this song in forever

    brings back great memorys

  • im am cristian but i dont relly believe in it

but there lyrics and the music touch me...

it touches me because my father was never around in my childhood

  • @mrkeny644 If you don't believe in everything the Bible says, then you aren't Christian. The whole point is admitting the Bible is true and that your a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross.

But yes, it's a great song.

  • @Zawicki1 wow... i have my reasons to be a "sinner" im just enjoing my life the way i want to do

and evrything in the bibel isnt exact true mate

    if it would

" adam & eve populated the world" and they say there white why the hell am i black then?

and that would be self breeding..

  • @mrkeny644 Adam and Eve were just the first two humans created, and as for you being black thats because god created all different races, but your entitled to your own opinion

  • @lazymington but i can't see any logic in it :/ but peopel need something to believe in though :D ass i dont have it im just slumberring my day in and out

  • @lazymington but i can't see any logic in it :/ but peopel need something to believe in though :D ass i dont have it im just slumberring my day in and out

and i respect evryones oponion (y)

  • @lazymington but i can't see any logic in it :/ but peopel need something to believe in though :D ass i dont have it im just slumberring my day in and out

and i respect evryones oponion (y)

but the song touches me though whit" dear father i need you" because my father wasnt around when i was in my cchildhjood (whit that i mean age 1- till now 14)

  • @mrkeny644 When it says "Dear Father I Need You" it's talking about God. Someone needs to look over the lyrics.

  • @mrkeny644 ....bible*......incest*....self breeding just sounds asexual. Who says Adam and Eve are white, by the way? The bible doesn't specify skin colour of Adam and Eve...or anyone mentioned in the bible, that I can think of. Christianity has been popularized by western (& white) society and therefore a white Adam and Eve, as well as a white Jesus, have been popularized, but it's more than likely that Jesus was brown or some other colour than white. Same with Adam and Eve.

  • @mrkeny644 Uh, Adam And Eve were most likely not white. And people like Jesus, he was most likely brown, considering most people from the MIDDLE EAST ARE. It's not like other races are like different animals, they just look different.

  • im am cristian but i dont relly believe in it

but there lyrics and the music touch me...

  • LOVE THIS ITS A CLASSIC FOR ME.

    I LOVE JESUS CHRIST!

  • They made good music.

  • Gotta love those HORNS!!! They sound soooo cool in this genre. this band is bomb.

  • is this the picture cover on the album?

  • @bricksandpeices Yes it is

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! This was my song for 4 years.

  • oh i wish the singing was as good as the horn section

  • this song still brings tears of joy....

  • i totally wish they were still active :/ their so amazing.

  • i am not a christian or into any christian music to be honest... but i really like these guys....

  • Comment removed

  • Not religious at all, but these guys still kick major ass!

  • I am no longer Christian, but I still enjoy the music. Reminds me so much of high school.

  • @XtortionB3ar you know its like, impossible to "no longer be a christian" once you pray that prayer, your a christian whether you relise it or not. your His. and i hope you relise that. PEACE!

  • @narberth214 I respect your opinion, but I disagree. I'm following my own path now. I feel more at peace now. Each to his own. :)

  • @XtortionB3ar agreed. XD

  • @narberth214 not at all. i've gone from lutheran, a form of christianity, to athiest, to believing in the native americans beliefs. if u want me to be more specific, the lakota tribe's beliefs. it all just depends on what u believe in. there are numerous beliefs and religions out there. u just have 2 find the one that suites u best.

  • @bhslacrosseplaya +karma for being an accepting person :)

  • @XtortionB3ar hahaha. yup.

  • @bhslacrosseplaya but it says in the bible that to quote Jesus "I'm the way the truth and the life NO man can come to the father but through me." Thus you can't be a christian and believe that...

  • Dear Father I need you your strength my heart to mend I want to fly higher every new day again!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This album cover has Doug TenNapel written(or drawn) all over it, I hope I'm not mistaken.

  • @chibigurl16 I only see Doug TenNapel on it in one spot...anyways, Doug rocks. I wonder if he's Christian. What's epic is that he also did Earthworm Jim's...basically everything except for stuff like music. He did the art and storyline.

  • This will forever be epic!

  • "when the stars threw down their spears

    watered heaven with their tears"

thats a line in a poem i was reading in class today hah

    the tyger by william blake

  • I use this song as my cell phone ring tone! Anybody else pre-order the new FIF dvd? I can't wait two more weeks and it will be in my hands.

  • thanks for the reminder, I can't wait!

  • I didnt even know this was a christian song when I first heard it.

  • yea, fif is a Christian ska band

  • or was

  • @dylanjam Yeah they eventually lost faith.... Lost faith in the grueling touring schedules that put their lives on hold. ;-) The decision took a lot of time in prayer and discussion, and that in the end it seemed that we, the fans, were ready to receive the torch. So, they gained faith. Word.

  • My all time faves in no paticular order, FIF, Insyderz, OC Supertones, The W's and Squad Five-O

  • hey mine too!

  • Man there was no other era in Christian like the 90s. The Ws, Five Iron Frenzy, The OC Supertones...ska bands were epic. I love this song!!

  • yea, seems like all great Christian ska bands have went away... ;(

  • i was just sittin here thinkin the same thing

rock the universe in orlando was pretty epic

    early dc-talk as well

  • back in the day when things were great! bands like this, ghotti hook, crashdog, the OC's....and record labels like tooth and nail were flawless with their line-ups...what happened? =*(

  • this is what i was looking 4 for a long time

  • nice dylan!

  • This is purty good

  • Yea, they were awesome :)
