"oh snapp!!!!'keep those pot handles turned in...that was the awareness back in the day...now its "METH" sad but true...I should be over there!,laugh out loud
that coffee pot snake-cord freaked me out as a kid.
I wonder why I never noticed how scary & angry that damn pot is, yet to this very day I DO always hear a faint "Keep those pothandles toined in!" whilst cooking.
I remember the Tweety Bird commercial off by heart.
THIS BATHROOM COULD BE THE MOST DANGEROUS ROOM IN THE HOUSE. A LOT OF KIDS ARE SERIOUSLY BURNED BY SCALDING HOT WATER IN BATHTUBS. SMALL KIDS SHOULD NEVER, EVER TAKE A BATH, WITHOUT A GROWNUP WATCHING THEM CLOSELY. FIRST OF ALL, RUN COLD WATER INTO THE TUB. THEN ADD HOT WATER TO WARM IT UP. KIDS ALWAYS WANNA PLAY WITH THE FAUCETS AND HOT WATER ON THEIR TENDER SKIN CAN SCALD. HOT WATER CAN BURN IN LESS THAN 3 SECONDS!
CAN YOU POST THE TWEEY BIRD ONE, WHERE HE TALKS ABOUT BATH WATER, AND HOW PARENTS SHOULD PUT HALF COLD WATER, THEN HALF HOT WATER TO WARM IT UP, AND THE ONE WITH DAFFY DUCK AND FIRE SAFETY WITH THOSE 2 KIDS. DAFFY TALKS ABOUT HIDING IN THE CLOSET AND THEY TELL HIM THAT IS A DEFINITE NO-NO.
I think I do recall seeing this ad a lot - didn't they show this a lot in the '80s?

The cooking pot sounds like a pedophile. "I just wait for a child to grab my handle and MUHAHAHAHAHAHA."

Wow that's really ironic, consider Bugsy and his pals did ALOT of stuff that would really harm a kid.

I remember this commercial, it brings back memories! Mel Blanc is the ONLY man who could voice Bugs Bunny. 'Nuff said.

The cookie jar sounded like Heathcliff from "Dough Ray Me-Ow" (1949).

To this day, I still picture red/blue striped water when I'm adjusting the temperature of my morning shower.

Great PSA from the good old days! I always make certain that all my pot handles are turned in, too! Thanks for posting and sharing this classic!

All these years later, I still think of that "keep those pothandles turned in!" when I'm cooking.
