and btw, you're aware that mma fighters dont get paid much and do this because they love it, where-as roman gladiators were slaves, and died if they lost.

this is a sport, and it has less deaths than boxing or even less injuries than high school football in a single county each year

typically the fans are douchey meat heads that drink beer and wanna see violence, but the sport itself and the intricacy involved is much more than just fighting. it's self-discipline and dedication

MMA is not the same as Roman gladiatorial combat. The fans for soccer are the same as the ones who watched in the Colleseum, You're the same, so am I. The sport however, is very different.

Wow your one of the few who doesn't reply back with an unnecessary offensive comment, I respect that. But Randleman and coleman both have very little success against Fedor. Yes, Randleman slammed the hell outta Fedor, but Fedor was never close to losing to either of them. You an say what you want about who he's beaten, Nogueria has not slipped at all in the ufc btw(only loss was staph infection), and fedor beat him in his prime. I would rate him a 2 or 3 for p4p, but definitely ahead of machida.

Machida was never in 3rd in my eyes, if he had beaten shogun convincingly then I would put him 3rd. For me its hard to say Fedor hasn't fought the cream of the crop. He Beat Arolovski, who was #2 ranked HW at the time, He beat Crocop(in his prime), Big Nog(Twice), Fujitia, Mark Hunt, and more recently Brett Rogers. Good list considering after pride he took a step down in comp for awhile until affliction. Hard to say how he would do in ufc though, he definietly wouldnt be thrown around tho.
