I must say I'm amazed at how good this Panel was, normally panels are awkward and boring affairs, rarely enlightening with fans asking questions having the apperance and/or social skills that make you embarrassed to be a geek/nerd. I love CCP, amazing bunch, and I love EVE one of the best MMO communities out there. This game has a bright future indeed.

Not unless they solve this ergonomic fault in the games UI. Ever wonder why this games player base is a fairly staitic at the 300 - 400k mark, reading the small text should give you a hint.

@Puzzoozoo I'll agree with you on that one. The UI is quite horrid. Also the fact that it still does not innately support more than one monitor after so many years is distressing also(I'd love to have the 3 monitor splitter setup but alas I cannot afford that). I'm fortunate that I have a generous amount of screen space on a 24" monitor at least.

I've wrote to Mr Olafsson regarding this matter before Christmas on that matter, and tried to get in touch with him yesteday, but he was out, I'll try again on Monday morning. If I do get his ear, I'll mention the single monitor fault to him, maybe in the next upgrade we'll both get some positive patches.

Started another trial last Tuesday-my forth Eve trial-still got 10 more days, and I'm still undecided whether to start a subscription, the difference in font size from 1024 x 768 and 1920 x 1200 is 1 millimeter. i.e. for lower case letters @ 1024 x 768 they are 3 mm high, for any higher resolution they are 2 mm high. And the slots with the icons on the left in 1024 x 768 are 11mm high, and on 1920 x 1200 on my 24" monitors default resolution of 1920 x 1200 they are 8mm high.

So we are looking at a difference of just 3 mm between making Eve god with HD, and playable with decent sized fonts to read without getting you face closer to your scren then is healthy.

Not a word about CCP solving the very small font text size problem on the games interface for ppl who have 24 inch and larger monitors, on their default resolutions of 1920 x 1200 and higher. How big does a game company have to be before they decide to just ignore a basic game problem and become complacent, and ignore the reading strain effect on their existing and *new* players and customers eyesight?

You know there is a font increase / decrease button at the top of EVERY chat window you have. And there is a font size / spacing section of the options window.

Yes, I know aout the chat window feature, the other main interface windows dont have it though, and yes there is a font size space feature in the options window, but it only goes up to 12 points, and at 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080. 12 points is equiv to 8 pts, if CCP increased the options window point to 18 or 20 pts, it would solve this problem at a stroke, as ppl with 30 inch monitors at 2560 x 1600 resolution would be able to read the games txt while sat at a comfortable distance, frm the scrn

I know there's though in the EVE industrial base to build things for Dust people but I was thinking about EVE ships that act as Dust buffs. A T2 version of the level 3 Battleship that is a Dust/Planet orbital assault ship would be really cool in my view.
