This is by far the best cover of this song I can imagine. I've listened to the original since it came out. Very, very good. My nine year old son (!) knows almsot ecery J.J. Cale song, and we watched all the covers here, ... he liked yours the best. And let me tell you, that little boy is an expert when it's about J.J. Cale (he spent weeks now designing J.J. Cale record covers ;-))

May never sound as good as JJ, IMO, but not bad at all friend. JJ's sound is pure and not contrived, which happens when you write it yourself. Your thinkin' about how the tune is suppose to sound, but I believe he's thinkin, about that girl in New York City. But great song choice and very well done.
