@slim0221 I agree with that, to a certain extent. They sound GREAT with Chris Barnes and completely stupid with Corpsegrinder. There are bands as good as Cannibal Corpse, but not better. This whole entire album pretty much sums that up.

Not really. If you trace the early roots of death metal it clearly lies in bands like Death, Repulsion, Possessed, and Morbid Angel. There were even more bands in the early phases of death metal before Cannibal Corpse even came along. They just never made mainstream success and most of them disbanded and the musicians went on to form even more iconic death metal.

Is this the old vocalist? He's fucking EPIC! His growls aren't as brutal as Corpsegrinder, but it fits with the music, and this sounds more like 80's or early 90's Death Metal rather than Late 90's or Early 00's.
