In fact, this song got to No. 13 in Germany in 1974 - so not a complete flop!! One of my all time faves - still got it on vinyl. :-)

Angel was produced by Sweet guitarist Andy Scott and Sweet drummer Mick Tucker. This song was written by Andy Scott. The other Angel single "Little Boy Blue" was also written by Andy Scott. The B-Sides to both singles were written by Angel. Great song.

Yeah - great memories - I remembered when Andi and Mick wanted to do the same thing as Chinn and Chapmann did for (or with) the Sweet. They wanted to be the "men in the back" who write, produce and make the money ... but even so they used the complete Sweet blueprint it flopped ... Yes, they should have recorded it with the Sweet!!!

Yeah...Little Boy Blue would have been one of the greatest Sweet singles. How they could have given it away, I have no idea.
