give it a chance, it's american made using energy made in america. Its not far off a true mx in terms of performance. People forget as soon as the tech becomes cheaper and they sell more then big companies join in prices will drop. Combustion releases particulates and not to mention the energy to refine oil and ship and truck it around plus they also have batteries. Batteries will shrink and will be twice as powerfull, its our future. I.c.e engines will be a specialist area
Definitely needs more power and better suspension. I would not trust those tiny forks when coming up short on a triple. I hate to admit it but the potential is there for electrics to surpass gas powered bikes since they can deliver instant torque at pretty much any point of the power band. Its just a matter of time for the battery technology to advance beyond lipo and become lighter and more powerful. Electric motors also have far less rotating parts(less friction) and also, no breaking period.
ur fucking stupid dude ur comparing a professional dirt bike racer with thousands of hours of experiance..... also he was on a 500 2 stroke.... this bike is electric 65 feet on an electric bike is better than u can do
hes not a pro professional mx racer . hes a professional fmx rider duhhh lol . and that table top is really nothing . i got stuff in my backyard bigger then that .
All posers say they can. Especially with their 150 HAHAHAHAHA.
Also can your shitty 150 jump 360 feet? If not why are you putting down a bike for not jumping 360 feet when neither you nor your 150 would ever come close.
hey im no poser . how would you even know that i have a 150r that's just my name . if a 150r had the right gearing it might fly close to 360ft . and a 150r is a kids bike that bike isn't . anyways i dont think any one cares how far a bike can jump. jump for show corner for dough . this bike is nothing like a dirt bike its an electric mountain bike . i would never buy an electric bike unless honda or yami or kawi came out with it. .
I can understand that, but in your comment you deleted you stated that that bike sucked because it couldn't jump 360'...but you don't know that.
Not everyone is a professional fmx guy. Also you don't need an insane bike if you're just out riding trails and having fun. I prefer gas bike but I sure wouldn't put down this new technology that's just starting. If you don't keep trying it'll never get anywhere. These guys are doing great for trying to create clean fun. it'll get better in time.
I know that the new battery technology is making it possible to create these bikes...However the weight would be all fucked. I ride a 450 quad but point being is that people who buy motorcycles enjoy the sound a of a big 4 stroke thumper, you can hear where you are at in the powerband and all that good shit. Anyway I would never buy an electric bike or quad for that matter.
blazerblast the reason the price is so high its because of the eletric motors they are expensive as hell and it's quiet. You don't have to pay gas or anything just cahrge it up and go and it's a lithuim battery it's lighter, durable, and the future basically. You will have no problems with a litium battery than a gas bike. Saves you money ,and the world don't forget global warming.
ok, charge it for like 10 hours for a hour or two of riding? not for me! and which sounds more exciting an electic drill or a big powerful loud thumpin four stroke race engine? why dont we just release a bunch of freon in the air to cool the earth down anyways? global warming.....thats balderdash! and btw you just cant beath the feel of an internal combustion driven bike
New high-quality lithium batteries can charge in like 15min or less if you have a nice (though expensive) charger.
And an electric motor will always be more powerful than a gas for a given volume.
Lithium isn't nearly as bad as lead-acid or nickle based chemistries, and doesn't even come close to being as bad as several hundred thousand miles worth of gas.
i would like to see one of these put out 50+ horsepower, do 180km's an hour, run about 90km's on a tank (charge) and give up to 7 g-force through a corner. Would like to see one jump 330 foot, wheelie for 30kms, and get a whole days riding out of one. You say how cheap it is, we could be away riding for weeks on a normal dirtbike before we could even put a discount down on one of them hunkashits. a bike puts out several hundred thousand miles worth of gas? Think you got your bearings wrong mate.
There are motors out there that will do 50+hp easily, and don't forget a 50hp motor will be far faster than it's ICE equivalent. Everything there could be met, if it weren't for the batteries.
Batteries are the bane of any EV now, but if anything comes of something like supercaps *cough* or lithium nanowire batts, then expect to see electrics showing up in serious races.
I never said it was cheap, though. You pay for performance, electric or not :/.
If I remember correctly, somebody did some calculations on theoretical power density of ICEs an PMAC (brushless DC pancake) motors. Gas got something like 3.7kW in^3 (~5HP per cubic inch), and PMAC got something like 8.9kW in^3 (~11.9HP per cubic inch.
It would take a massive battery to power even a small motor that powerful, though.
this is crap dont buy this shit, waitin a decade they will be promissing and wont be toys.they say it them selves it's betwin a mountain bike and a dirt bike.
you buy this now i promess you will be disapointed.
it costs the same as a brand new 2 stroker, and is way less fast.rediculous.but save your money in a few years they will have lithium iron phosphate batteries that will last 10 time longer than lead acid batteries

Nah. Electric's got power; gas has range.
