What do you mean they won the IIHF??? IIHF isn't a tournament. It stands for International Ice Hockey Federation. There are tons of IIHF tournaments the Juniors I think the Olympics are IIHF etc.

Actually Espoo ain't that good this year. They're 14th (last) in the league at the moment. 1-1-6 so far. But yeah, there sure are some good teams in the European leagues as well.

there are so many stars in the nhl, but zürich played as a team and that's the reason why they won the game.

@Virenalarm Haha, wow. This was an EXHIBITION game for the Blackhawks. The Victoria Cup means nothing to NHL players, why? Because we have the Stanley cup. Anaheim, and any other NHL team would kick any European teams ass in a 7 game series. One game against a team doesn't mean anything, but you silly Euro's can have your Victoria Cup because Chicago has the Stanley cup and the ZSC Lions would not last 1 game playing NHL hockey on an NHL rink in the playoffs. European hockey is bad, sorry Euros.

That was the weirdest thing I ever saw. I thought that the Swiss couldn't play hockey. Maybe I was wrong... But on the long run, like a playoff serie for the best of 7, it would be another story I think. However, congrats to Zurich. They were intelligent tactically. Enjoy the victory, cause it's not like it's going to happen again;-)
