i have seen it quite a few times, just parodies unless they are bringing something new to the thing they have parodied or are taking the piss out of it in an "its funny cos its true" way just dont have anything to make them funny, lego parodies with action is funny because the way people have done the effects, for example the 300 spartan lego vid. this, at the end of the day is a bunch of stationary lego figures with a boring dub of reservoir dogs and an annoying 8 bit soundtrack.

The "new" thing is the new circumstances into which this has been put. It doesn't even matter if the scene was funny in Reservoir Dogs or not. What matters is, that the Star Wars scene actually was a serious and tensional one. Maybe it doesn't work out for you, but for me it is one of the most creative brickfilms I've seen so far.
