this is a great song and coldplay is a great band, but this song was not written by coldplay. The original recording by echo and the bunnyman is actually better than this.

@MegaDefuse Just don't think these guys are that great. All I am saying is there is a lot of great original music out there, beyond Coldplay. How about Porcupine Tree, or even on the top 40, Muse. Just saw their show in Oakland. Excellent. I guess different strokes for different folks.

i would easily place Lips Like Sugar in the bottom quarter of the EATB catalog. don't get me wrong, i like the song a lot... but it's one of their more straight forward pop songs.
my point was that even the weaker EATB songs rate higher than the better of Coldplay's library.
