How do I power up quickly? I just started the game, I am still level 1 Warrior. I already returned the Amulet and came to the first Oblivion gate to rescue the heir. But these goblins as weak as they are, they are tsill way to powerful for me to fight. What should I do to quickly level up? All the enemies right now are way to powerful for me.
the sigil tower doors are disssapearing on me there notr there anymore and i cant get into the tower anymore. is this a glitch? I found the key but never found the sigil stone and left the tower because i could nt find it then i came back and the entra nces were gone!!

@dippedindoodoowater Well I have a full guide for the main-quest up, which is technically beating it. This game came out in 2006, if no one has beat it 5 years later then there's something wrong there.
I've actually done every single quest in this game in 100 hours (according to the save files) and again in around 50 when I knew what I was doing.
ikr and dude that needs help go to the arena district and ask to be a combatant they give you armor and there are weapons lieing around every matc u win you get more gold every rank try guilds to and turn the difficulty down if its to hard thats what it is for
when i try to break the siege i was shooting at a scamp with magic arrows dont know wich, but when i shoot i killed that guard that was sended to close the gate, what now?

@DogEatingHotChips You get used to it after a couple of quests. Pay attention to the markers to get around and learn the different skills and you should be good.
@wweironman12XBLGT Just look around. Buying armor isn't the best way to get it, and at the very beginning in Wyenon Priory if you ask Jauffree about help he'll open a chest with steel weapons and armor in it, that's a huge help until you just end up finding good armor laying around.
@mario11168 if you need good armor or weapens in the nights of the nine quest you automatically get the best weapens and armor in the game the complete set of the divine crusaders relics plus you have the knights of the nine at your command anytime.
@wweironman12XBLGT theres a ruin somewhere forgot its name, no creatures just go in, try to kill umbra, she has umbra ebony armour, and its always on her whatever level you are, but be careful if you dont have armor

@wweironman12XBLGT you might want to turn down your difficulty a little. I was palying on the default difficulty until i got stuck on this part cause the little demon things took like 10 - 15 hit to kill. i you put it at like the 1/3 mark its much easier

If you're a mage, train to higher levels. Do ALL the side-story quests before you enter the Find the Heir one... I only entered it when I reached level 41 Spellsman (custom class based on magic spells)... Invisibility and other spells really come in handy.

yes you can go into the city witjhout going through the gate of oblivion... just go behind the gate and open the gate to kvatch and ur in :) but it doesnt help with getting the people to get out

But to me, the Argonian is the best because of his resistance to disease, immunity to poison, and ability to breathe underwater, and swimming is the best way to get agility/acrobat to 100.

I recommend being level 20 before staring the main quest. It helps later in the game. Like when you do the dedric quest, more than a one will open up.
That's not very smart... Level 20 is when the game gets waaay harder with way tougher creatures. The main quest is easiest when you start out at a lower level.
More than half of the daedric shrines can't even be started until you're a level 20, but some can be done at lowers. One of the more useful ones is done at 15 with the skeleton key...
The monsters still get harder... The stronger you get, the stronger they get. Even with Umbra and the Knights of the Nine armor monsters are STILL as hard as they were at the beginning of the game.
hey i got a question im on the break the siege of kvatch and my quest thing says "help salvian matius break the seige of kvatch" and my marker is on him but when i talk to him he wont let me do anything
You can actually beat breaking the siege at level one. You need maybe 15+ health potions, probably weak cause' their isn't alot of dudes in the tower.
Why did I have so much trouble with scamps? every other enemy i could use a block then attack technique but scamps could take off a quater of my health even with my shield up. If i didnt have my shield up they could take off a third my health. It would take me 12-20 hits just to kill the things too. Any help? My blade and block were both around 37.
It's best to train skills, but don't be too much leveled up before this quest...And after you get Martin out. Don't wait to get through to Breaking the Siege. I was Level 15 when I went towards the quest and there was Deagoth and Frost Arcanches. And that's hard for a ninja with sneak more than fight.
at the part where you were talking to him, if you look to the right, there is a pool of lava, and a dead burnt body in it, look near the edge, you should fin a rare weapon, as silver axe, you probally like "thats not a rare weapon" well it is in fact, it is really hard to get, and silver is tenchnically a rare type of weapon

When you complete Fallout 3 you get this unfufilled feel in your stomach. I had all the DLC's, did every single quest, got all the good guns and shit, but as soon as the game ends, its just not fun anymore. With oblivion you can start over as a mage, thief, or warrior, do different things, experiment with new weapons. Thats another things, using the lincolns repeater from the moment you get it to the end of the game gets kind of dull sometimes.

lvl 6 argonian, umbra weps & armor, ArenaGrandChamp, 250 daedroth arrows and black soul gems. born under the sign of the warrior, class:|custom, Deathknight| heavy armor, blade, and alchemy. best character type that you can ever be, no matter what you people say.
i REALLY wish people who did their walkthroughs would divulge what level they were, what class, etc etc because these details ARE important when completing quest. Don't get me wrong this is a good walkthrough. But gosh nobody here likes to put up stats
So just typing "I was this level, and i'm this class" on your about section is a pain in the butt? That's why i want to know what your stats were, precisely because everyone's skills are different. I need to see how i can adapt it to my situation. See i jumped in this quest thinking it was tremendously easy but then i just realized you lowered the difficulty.
I don't think, because when you have to kill ennemies, you use much less power than normal. The skills system is based on the power that you exert (magic, discretion, strenght ...)
depends if your class will allow you to use magic if it does. open your items tab key on pc. there will be 2 images at the bottom one should be a weapon and to the right an image that varys on the spell click the one on right
I keep on having to fight by myself because Hend is almost dead and I have crappy armor and weapons and its hard just to fight one of those imp things alone lol...

Graphics don't make the game.
Enemies run at you/shoot at you in both games.
More quests in Oblivion.
Both quests are have the same idea, get thing/kill dude get reward.
Epicness is better in Oblivion because it's midevil.
Oblivion came out YEARS before Fallout 3, so whatever it's a rip off of, Fallout 3 is too. They're both made by the same company.
As for game of the year, sorry, Oblivion got that too.

lvl 6 argonian, umbra weps & armor, ArenaGrandChamp, 250 daedroth arrows and black soul gems. born under the sign of the warrior, class:|custom, Deathknight| heavy armor, blade, and alchemy. best character type that you can ever be, no matter what you people say.

i REALLY wish people who did their walkthroughs would divulge what level they were, what class, etc etc because these details ARE important when completing quest. Don't get me wrong this is a good walkthrough. But gosh nobody here likes to put up stats

I don't think, because when you have to kill ennemies, you use much less power than normal. The skills system is based on the power that you exert (magic, discretion, strenght ...)

depends if your class will allow you to use magic if it does. open your items tab key on pc. there will be 2 images at the bottom one should be a weapon and to the right an image that varys on the spell click the one on right

Besides the fact that Fallout 3 is a total rip off of Oblivion, they just made the world blow up and added guns and different levels.
Fallout 3 is great, but Oblivion beats it :)
