How come you assumed in advance the chip shape?

it s only an initial guess. The final shape doesn't depend on it.

Does it work out if you apply a Lagrangian Mesh with failure criteria? Or directly ALE?

It's only an ALE demo.
A failure criteria is missing and must be added to the model.
That's why this simulation is not physically correct however it's a good demo concerning the mesh management, especially the free surface tracking of the chip.
