@phantom380 I get it from different sources, so I'm not 100 % sure---but I read that they acquired money before the family got so big. They were both real estate agents, maybe they got rich that way. But this is just what I heard, I don't know for sure. Still if I were a millionaire, I don't feel that I could give 18 kids enough of my time. I just feel that they would be cheated. Plus, I have flat feet, pale skin and my ass looks like a pancake. No kid deserves that.

I like this family, but absolutely dispise the father. Any man who would allow his wife to go through umpteen pregnancies and then even after she has a dangerously small premature baby, he still says, if God wants it, we'll have more babies. Incredibly selfish. Michelle goes along with it because she's not the type to oppose her husband, she just doesn't have it in her to stand up to him and say NO MORE!!

What jim bob did was use the bible to influence them into giving blood (making them not want to go against it). and yes he did not ask them he just told them that was what they're going to do that day. It is weird that only the girls donated, being at home the boys still could have delivered the blood collected from them

Hi dabrat, I was just about to point that out. Another BS Jim Bob came up with to exploit his girls, forcing them to give blood, clearly you can tell they don't want to. IT'S ALL FOR TV! Notice how he took the girls and not the boys? Giving blood for Josie, yeah right! He never gave blood before, why now? Hum.. And he had to lie to them in order to give blood. Christian lie? The 3 oldest boys arent there, Josh is at home with Anna, and John David and (forgot his name! sorry) are taking care of the house and John David's company. The only ones old enough to give blood are girls.

I think its a shame its only when they needed blood for their daughter they decided giving blood was a good thing to do. I really wish people would think about donating blood before a relative/friend is in need. You never know

Even though they all went through with it, I honestly do not think they were "forced" into it. They have always had that option, and if they didnt want to, they simply could have said so. Also if you watch part 2, they look pretty calm and collect, nobody really seems that uptight.
