not to brag about my self or my family we have a lexus ls460 2009 and A Mercedes s 550 AMG which is 2010 and a BMW 745Li which is for my mom and the best car out of the 3 is the ls460 the resell value was VERY GOOD and the car service was alot cheaper then bmw and mercedes
I love when idiots try and make great cars look bad. I rather have a Lexus with a Toyota Engine inside than any other car. They make good cars hands down. Only an idiot can't see that.
Another badge engineered and overpriced Toyota. What kind of moron buys a Lexus and thinks they're driving "something special". A fucking 1970s AMC Pacer is more special than any Lexus.
The Veyron uses a few VW parts and engine technology - and that itself is a testament to the advanced technology of that brand. Lexus? Badge engineered Toyota with dirt cheap interiors, shitty styling, no history or heritage or motorsport heritage and zero global appeal. Here in the US Lexus might be considered "special" by a few retarded people, but outside in the real world nobody gives that POS brand a second glance - or even a first glance.
@jakemiller5000 I highly disagree with that. Many parts of asia including japan, and china, lexus is still taken as a beautiful car. You can go do some research and toyota has won many tourneys in sport competitions. Also, they veyron was produced after vw bought the company.
Styling is subjective but Lexus cars look so Asian which is probably why they are considered "beautiful" (eewww) in Asia. As for sport competition...WHAT SPORT COMPETITIONS? Lexus competes in some BS event known as the Rolex Series and GT500 I believe. How many Americans watch that? Not even 1/4th of our population. True motorsport is Formula 1, Carrera Panamericana, Paris-Dakar, London-Sydney, Rally Africa, Mille Miglia, Le Mans etc. - Lexus doesn't and has never been there.
Not a hater - someone who argues using FACTS. Lexus is only "big" in the US and over half of those "Lexus" cars are overpriced and badge engineered Toyotas: the Camry-based ES (what a POS) and the Toyota Harrier (RX). Take a trip outside of the US to the rich metropolitan cities of Europe for example. You won't even see a Lexus. Why? Because people there buy luxury cars based on brand history and heritage. Lexus has none of that. Just a badge engineered Toyota. How lame.
Yawn. I can walk into a Kia dealership and buy a QUALITY car these days. Lexus quality is nothing special and highly overrated. Go on a Lexus forum and read all about the problems that owners experience. Hell, even the first generation LS400 had many issues that people don't know about because of this "Lexus quality" bullshit myth. The LS400 suffered from suspension failures at 50,000 miles, transmission electrical issues and unreliable headlights. These are documented facts.
Really? 70% of Lexus sales in the US are rebadged and overpriced Toyotas. The Camry-based ES and the Toyota Harrier (RX). Pathetic. Most intelligent people know that Lexus is nothing more than a fancy Toyota. Gullible fools who know nothing about what makes a true luxury brand buy this crap. The US is hardly known for great automotive tastes. Outside of North America Lexus isn't even taken seriously. That's how pathetic and overrated Lexus is.
Oh please. The Toyota "durability myth" comes from a bunch of rusty Hilux and Land Cruiser cars in North Africa. And guess what? The last time I was in North Africa there were tons of old Peugeots, Renaults and Mercedes driving around there. I guess those cars are durable to, huh? Any car today will last forever as long as it receives regular care. Don't forget that the people who treat their car like shit, including Toyota owners, won't have a car to last them forever in the end.
Look, Toyota makes good cars which means affordable and fairly reliable. In all other aspects - performance, comfort, the subjective aspect of "FUN", design etc. they're not even competitive. People buy Toyotas based on perceived reliability and value. That's it. Plus, Toyota quality is overrated. All cars today are more reliable than they were in the past statistically seen.
@jakemiller5000 pst. that recall was so like overated person. LOL you look like a moron on your picture. and you probably aren't informed that they fixed the problem since your living in the past.
Have you ever even thought about why "nobody" buys Lexus outside of the US, you expert? Most Europeans buy small cars and if they buy big cars they buy only Diesel. Lexus doesn't have many Diesels and we have also our own big cars, like Audi and Benz! For Japanease people Lexus are way too big cause the streets are tight.
So that doesn't mean that the US customers are stupid and Lexus is overrated you dumbass! Just think for one second.
Come to Germany and buy a Benz, BMW or an Audi and you'll have even more problems! Audi has bad engines. Especially the Diesel might have a lot of power but they often have problems and you don't wanna imagine how expensive it is to fix these problems. BMW and Benz are famous for electronical problems. In the last couple of years Benz had even problems with rust <-- what a shame!
Believe me, Lexus makes one of the most reliable cars on the market.

Lol are you you mad that Lexus is no.1 in sales, satisfaction, and has earned the highest honors from consumer reports AND JD Power???
Toyota's are nice, and well worth the price. If you compared a lexus from a toyota you definitely see how much more you get for your money.

@jakemiller5000 Thanks for reminding me that Lexus is Toyota...lol
As if toyota is a bad car..last time i checked, toyota/lexus makes the best cars around in terms of quality, durability, and reliability.
Acura is Honda, Infiniti is Nissan, and Audi is volkswagen, and they all make great cars by the way.
