  • This guy is no disgrace, at least he's trying and the only wayto improve is practise. I would suggest you spend more time on a SIM tho :)

  • I love when ppl (ie you) buy expensive helicopters like the t Rex 600 when you cant even fly them, sure you can hover but i dont see any forward flight atleast no in control forward flight, and no nose in hover. WHY OH WHY would you waist money on such a heli if you cannot fly it. DISGRACE!!

  • @cookumoo What is your problem. Why do ppl (ie you) have to envy others which are simply able to afford things they like (ie a Heli). Start earning your own money and be quiet! And as you might have noticed: This video is 3 years old. I handle the same (repaired ) T-Rex perfectly by now. Just because you can't do something initially, it doesn't mean that you can't learn and shouldn't even try it! Get yourself a hobby, dude, stop mocking around on other videos!

  • @odraese I should have worded that differently. I apologize for sounding arrogant, but infact I do have a hobby it is the same as yours. It just seems ignorant to buy, crash, fix, buy, crash, fix..an expensive heli, when you could learn on a cheap one first, then fly then expensive one without crashing.. sorry just my opinion. Didnt mean to offend.

  • @cookumoo No offense taken. By the way: I tried with a cheaper Heli before: Unfortunately it was an eSky Coaxial and when I managed that little heli I've been stupid enough to think that I could also fly bigger ones. Anyway, what helped was Simulator (RealFlight) training....

  • @odraese cheaper helis always suck buy the biggest you can afford to keep flying/crashing and enjoy the hell out of it. thats what this hobby is for, fun and nothing more.

  • You gotta keep that tail towards you until you get much better. Sim time is your best option right now.

  • crash was always on the cards when you try side on and nose in on your first few flights.did well to last the 2 1/2 mins

  • Was the rpm significantly inconsistent? Once i forgot to adjust my throttle curve and the heli was more unstable that usual.

  • Was the rpm significantly inconsistent? Once i forgot to adjust my throttle curve and the heli was more unstable that usual.

  • When facing towards you, push the aileron to the low side!

  • OMG

  • I can't believe you went out there without even putting on any training gear and learning to hover. Do you at least have a sim? My roommate tried the same shit with his 450 size heli (going out with no gear and didnt know how to hover) and put it in a lake. I have a 550 size swift 16 and I put in probably 2 months on the sim before I flew. With that being said, You got balls flying nose in on your first attempt. Most people stay tail in well past 5 or 10 flights

  • Don't worry be happy. I get the first-5-crash-garantee from the helishop in my town But the shop is now broke.

  • @azezrtyuuiopqsdfghjk Thats an awesome idea... Hobby shops should sell flyers insurance.

  • Where you drunk ? It looks like you never had full control.

  • dumbass

  • what happned to aileron left?

  • I always find orientation easier with the canopy on. I you are struck by e.g sunlight or a dark background, a heli going tail in or nose in without a canopy, could look pretty much the same either way.

  • a 450 is even smaller

  • isnt that a 450size??, it looked small to be a 600..

  • Nope. It is and was a 600er.

  • @cessna18284

Yes indeed the T-rex 600 hasn't a tailservo on tail

  • If u cant fly a trex 600 u need to be taking baby steps...... get a honey bee or something and learn to fly forward flight..if u can fly a 450 size... u can fly anything.....u have alot of money..

  • Right..

  • song title plxxxx damn it :((

  • I don't remember. Sorry...

  • safe to dream - by evolve

  • goooood! i was waiting for this title such a long time, thx a lot!

  • 0:35 run for cover!!!!!!!

  • Name of the song ?

  • Sorry, don't remember.

  • @CassOver

    Evolve - Safe to Dream

  • I would have crashed it on take off! :)

  • I crashed on my first flight too! Apparently, for a split second I forgot I wasn't on the flight simulator anymore and got too cocky doing the same thing this guy is doing when I should be concentrating on doing stable tail-in hovers first and landing right. Kaboom! Luckily, I was on a cheaper, T-Rex 500 ;-) But, crashes can be good 'coz it speeds up the learning curve. You have to learn from it. Something like "oh..uh...I won't do that again" Hehehe

  • O wow.O well dont sweat it i dont care how good you are EVERYONE crashes eventually.p.s. did you move you aeileron stick right before it crashed? It looks like it had right stick before it chrashed.

  • dude you dont seem to know very good flying this shit. After a crash like this i would cry for Weeks, try to practise on a cheaper heli!!!

  • this video was 2 years ago, i think he already flies better.

  • hahahaha

  • everyone crashes, everyone! If anyone tells you differently th're lying. Keep it up and keep on practicing.

  • you need more rpm

  • yes, this is right. I actually nearly doubled the RPM and have a stable flight now....

  • i've wanted a r.c. heli since i was little, got me the g4 sim pretty cool, lots of practice, finally got a 3d heli for xmas, can hover no prob, and i'm still fixin my heli after every 2-3rd flite, and lovin it !! thank god i got the $180.00 heli & upgraded myself, work in progress better heli for later. crash & learn !

  • Comment removed

  • yep i'm still crashing $180.00 heli , good luck !!

  • Sieht aus als ob du beim Nasenschweben plötzlich die Seiten vertauscht hast. Wird schon wieder ;)

  • should have started on a raptor 30 and a SIM!!!

  • ground = bad :(

  • i totally agree with ElroyHarvey i crashed my creata 400 on the first flight ;(, but its all gd now!

  • I feel your pain mate, the walk to the heli after the crash is the worst in the world isnt it lol, you dont know how bad it is but you are praying for as little damage as possible.

  • lohol der war geil^^

da muss jeder anfänger durch :D

  • Man you're really spraying parts around. Nice crach!

  • 1:01 LOL!!!! I rate it

  • Flew great till you put the dirt brakes on at the end. Keep it up. Youll get it

  • wat a bummer

  • very funny....!

actually it was just the first but not the last flight....

  • ah that sucks dude i am sorry. I am 13 and i compeet with the trex 450. that is such a bummer when you crash it the first flight i did it and i hated the sport for a while and i fixed it and did not crash any more.:) just keep flying and it gets better trust me!:)

  • T-rex:$600 Tx and Rx w/ gyro and servos: $450 Batery: $140 a hand cam and a buddy to capture your first and last flight with a T-rex... PRICELESS!!!!

it was fun to watch though ^_^

  • OMG, was the pilot ok ?

  • Yup, pilot was OK....(and by now, is flying much better due to simulator training)

  • If the pilot hovered like that before sim training then kudos to the guy :-)

  • poor heli

  • you were fighting the controls, letting the heli control you. also dont ever fly without a canopy. worst thing you can do.

  • wise words my friend do u know which heli is more stable the blade 400 or the t-rex 450 or the 600?

  • losimaster117

The t-rex 600 is the most stable. The bigger the heli, the more stable

  • @ssrc30 Can you tell me why you say not to fly without the canopy?

  • @33gate1 Because in the case of a crash, which is inevitable when flying helicopters, the canopy will help to save your electronics. It's not guaranteed to save your gear, but it's an extra wall of protection between your expensive parts and the ground.

  • awesome dumb thumbs. try using a sim before flying a $1200+ heli. No canopy is also another noob move.

  • its only $500-700 ;)

  • I have one, so I know the costs. Unless you got one second hand, total flight up cost even with just one pack is at best $1100

    Kit $600 (including blades)

    servos $150-$200 (including tail servo)

    gyro $140

    receiver $50-$100

pack $133 if your smart and got a zippy. $300 if your dumb and bought namebrand

not to mention other costs like charger, transmitter, and lots of other misc stuff

  • The only advice I would give is to never fly without a canopy, it makes it much easier to see which way the heli is flying! Still these helis are only a little expensive to repair, probably not more than £80 per crash! :)

  • YOu should never fly a big heli like that for youre first propper heli,, Try flight sim and with no friends there. They will make you do silly things then you will cut youre arm off lol

  • wow... the headspeed seems soo low.

  • Yeah I think his pitch curve is off judging by the sound of the blades he is getting postive pitch before he reaches the proper rotor speed. Yeah I would fly with a conopy also its there to help protect the vital electronics in a crash.

  • Head speed far to low, looks like you flying with no exponential on your cyclics. Learn hovering from all angles and some forward flight on the sim until your are totally comfortable..makes it a lot cheaper and enjoyable in the long run.

  • I dont use expo and it flys fine just depends on your flying skills. and a stock trex 600 flys best at 100 throtlle curve strait line.

  • It certainly shows..just offering some advice enjoy your crashing

  • na i dont crash much once in two years the on my t-600 many years of experiance talkin thats all. All expo does is hide bad stick skills in my opinion. set the swash up properly and no expo needed

  • You certainly show your expereince with a statement like that. Expo smooths out the controls around center stick but gives a full range of motion. It does not hide bad skills as you will find all of the top people use it. Setting the swash is easily achieved and has fuck all to do with expo, try swash menu, pitch curves for that. Also if you have many years experience, why post a video of of you flying like a numpty from last year.

  • what are you talking about its not my video. I just watched it like you and gave some comments. its just my opinion anyhow. I dont claim to be an expert it just works for me.

  • Yuo comments are shite.. so is your set up

  • nice trying. easy for people to say you are a noob. They probably havnt tried to even fly yet. thanks for the vid.

  • Nose left position is hard... That caused the crash I think. Nose right hovering at first then you was left, and wrong correction. :/

  • headspeed was low but you were just a noob!!!

  • Why did you fly with the hood off? Makes it harder to see how the helicopter is oriented, which was probably the cause of the crash. It also helps to keep some goodies intact and mud-free.

In regard to the simulation, it's learning how to move the sticks that's important, and that's something you should be able to train with pretty much any sim that allows you to use your own transmitter. I found it a huge help just in keeping my bird from crashing into things.

  • Actually the main reason was that the rotor speed was far too low. But you're right, the hood is helping too. Anyway, I went with RealFlight G4 now and this seems to help a lot. Flying a lot lately (with the T-REX) and don't crash it anymore....

  • did u buy a new one or fix the old one ?

  • I managed to fix it - it was not too difficult and also not very expensive. Just main rotor and gears...

  • ohh thats not to bad. same thing happen to me with by 2nd belt cp

  • In my professional opinion I would say G3, also, pick yourself up one of those cheep bargin barn helicopters, or radio shack (aka the source) and get one of their cheep helicopters. That way you get a feel for the 3 flight the real way, plus you can fly them indoors as they are small enough

  • servus.

  • crash already

  • as many other comments have been made ... sim time is unmeasurable in worth. I can tell you've flown some type of rotorcraft before as when near a dangerous situation, you advance the collective(throttle) to gain altitude. I've got a Blade CP pro and was looking to invest in a Trex, can you tell me how much time you had on this Trex before you filmed this video?

  • 1) Can you tell me which sim you use? I currently try ClearView but it seems too easy compared to reality.

    2) The video was actually showing really the first flight with the T-REX - it never left ground before. But I had some practice with a LAMA eSky before...

  • geat real flight G3.5

  • no!!! real flight g3 and g4 both suck try phoenix its the most amazing simualtor... and u can use ur own radio dx7 is awesome if u have one.. but physics with the phoenix is just awesome its like real life..

  • cool i will check it out

  • yup i have G3 but phoenix is the way to go. you might also want to put some training under carriage on there to help.

  • sorry for your loss, and it sounded like your gear mesh was a little on the tight side. Setup and sim time are most important. Good luck in the future:)

  • I did hte same with my first fixed wing model! You have my deepest sympathy

  • Just an observation..... You need to adjust your throttle and pitch curves so the head RPM is stable at all pitch settings.

  • Maybe it that is your first heli you should have started with like a Blade CX you did good if it was your first time. But learn to hover good first and then go from there and get a sim maybe.

  • Well it was deserved it was clear you did not have it under control i saw multiple almost crashes and dangerous situations. You should have stopped flying. And second fly with idle up your RPM droped to much.

  • I like the crunchy sound when it hits the ground....

  • Yeah, that is a soul crushing sound - at least if you're the owner of the toy...

  • hey hjow much is a trex 600

and do u no any sites were they sell them

  • At least in Germany a T-REX is around 550 Euro (800USD) But you will still need a lot additional like transmitter, receiver, servos, gyro....

I got mine onlin at MHM Modellbau, a German site.

  • glad u could record it, keep it up mate!;)

  • Duck and Cover!

  • lol watch out it could be a killing machine!

  • Only - ONLY - fly tail-in for the first many hours of flying a heli.

"Crashing" the simulator is much less expensive. :-)

    Peter

    Peter

  • lol

  • man! you wasted it!

  • Wasn't that bad. Just the rotors broken and the plastic gears. Anyway, everything is repaired by now....and yes, I have bought a simulator (ClearView) to practice a bit before the next flight.

  • good thinking of buying simulator. this will really help you. cheers mate! c",

  • Damn :( you should of got Realflight g3.5 best simulator!!! and u can get the trex 600CF Electric as well as the nitro pro.. its a tight simualtor works great and good physcics just for future im telling you thats all.

  • nice crash :o)

  • You should try simulator, it will help.
