I'm tired of people saying that Nick "had it". If he had it, then he would have won. He lost due to a miscalculation and error on his part, so I don't see how he should have won if he messed up. Even if the % difference was notable, an SD means losing your last stock and showing that your opponent is better because you messed up. These two are great players, but SDing shouldn't be an excuse to say that you should have won.

@OMFGDESU An SD is never intentional, otherwise it wouldn't be considered a self-destruct. So that doesn't mean that Coney is a better player than Nick. If you're saying that a good player never SD's, then you don't really sound like you know what you're talking about. Because if that's the case, I've played some people who were better than me and still in some way managed to SD at least once or twice in however many matches we had. Any professional can make a mistake.

@bluetrancefer I never said either player was better, and I've seen many top players SD. A previous comment just irked me saying that NickRiddle should have won. Yet, he lost, so why should he deserve to win? I'm just saying that a SD is as justified as your opponent taking your stock, since they both relate to the player's mistakes; whether they side-b with falco offstage or let their opponent land a smash attack on them.

Nick was making a comeback from the looks of it, but I don't think he really deserves the win. Nick was starting to take control of the fight at the last moment, and I can see what he was going to do, but it was timed horribly that he ended up SDing. The match clearly goes to Coney, though, because he still had his last stock. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
