Thanks for another nice set of old ads. You always do a great job transferring these prints to YouTube. I look forward to these because they're what I spend most of the time I'm on YouTube looking for old TV ads, and I know you're gonna have some really cool stuff for us all to see. Thanks again!
The 1967 Fedders commercial at 4:16 plays more like an "industrial film" than a TV ad [the production music used makes it sound like one]...they're still in business today. "Two-fer" General Foods spots for "Tang" and "Gravy Train" fromj 1965; Bil Baird's "Champy the Lion" pitched Wheaties during 1954-'55 (Baird himself makes a rare on-camera appearance here). Jean Sullivan appeared in Procter & Gamble's "Cheer" ads during the same period (note the company's famous "moon and stars" trademark).
The Schaefer ad is from around 1969. CBS' Saturday morning "MIGHTY MOUSE PLAYHOUSE" (1955-'66) was primarily sponsored during the late '50s by Colgate Dental Cream; "Our Hero" appeared in at least one "integrated commercial" for Colgate during each program; this example is from 1957- Tom Morrison, who headed Terrytoons' story department, is Mighty Mouse's voice....Allen Swift is "Mr. Tooth Decay". "Gardol" was Colgate's trademark for the formula "Sodium N-lauroyl Sarcosinate"...
