  • im not sure how this helps Christianity or other religions. was it meant to? or was it meant to be just funny? fails at both for me.

  • if god can just make people have a heart attack then why did he need to bring a flood to kill loads of people?

  • He's dead!! HaHaHaHa! This is funny? How? The book titles are excellent!!

  • a popular argument about christianity is that it's inherently violent. this supports this argument.

  • This was lame as hell, standard fare from Faux News.

  • 2 people who denounced a god while their faces and names were exposed were killed on live TV (the first one by heart attack)...

As an atheist I'm not offended but the skit wasn't that funny either.

In other news, Kira confirmed to be real.

  • You....you know this is a skit, right?

  • the atheist seemed an idiot. they couldnt get someone witty, cuz they would/have get/gotten powned

  • I literally hate absolutely everything about American media.

  • I don't get it, I find this extremely boring, showing the idiocy of christianity and yet it's supposedly Fox news mocking atheists... Is this meant to be funny for or critical against christians?

  • Fox news fails at everything.

  • What is this I don't even... congratulations on not being funny America.

  • This is obviously a comedy skit. I want to say Mad TV but couldn't find a source. I mean come on people: "1/2 hour news hour"....

  • Why is there an SNL skit on Fox News? I thought for sure that this might have been an ironic jab at themselves, but then I realized Fox isn't clever enough to realize that this is how they sound all of the time.

  • So...since when is it okay for a news program to have comedy skits?

  • Wow... This is so dumb.

  • @Mogley52 If Hitchins could *still* participate in debates, I'd be mightily impressed.

  • But the Christians are making fun of them selves they are laughing at people dying and being hurt just because they don't believe in god. Well I guess the bible does say kill them if they don't believe what you do. Always a good message for the kids

  • Wait... how the fuck is this NEWS?!?!?

This is blatant false reporting with made up guest holding fabricated (straw-man) stances.

(oh wait, this isn't actually made by Fox news... right?)

  • This shit was hilarious XD

  • Hateful atheists being butthurt about life, what else is new?

  • @NoRussian trolololol

  • @NoRussian O.o do you not get it.

  • @00movieman00 I get it, its all comedy, just wanted to state that.

  • @NoRussian They arn't Atheist..... Idiot.

  • @00movieman00 I know you fucking retard XD

  • Thius would work better against religion then with...

  • Are these people retarded? This is the best Fox News can afford?

  • Faux News.

  • If a Christian tries to convert people, then they're "just following their religion" and being a "missionary"

If an atheist tries to tell people that they can choose their own destinies, and accept the actual truth, then they're "shoving it down people's throat" and being "militant"

  • lol this was actually pretty good. for once theists have come up with a mockery of atheism thats actually funny. im very antireligion but this was good.

  • I'm an atheist. And I personally found this completely hilarious. We mock them, it's only fair by their legal rights that they can mock us. The only real way to deal with this is to laugh a long with it, then if they try to use it in any serious context we pull out the common sense hammer. Problem solved :)

  • Absolute hypocrisy, Christianity is a virus infecting mankind, one day, a man will rise up, and eradicate all Christians, annihilate every last one of them, cleaning the scum of this planet.

  • @ThePeacefulPacifist hmmm, yes some may say that is a good idea, but have you not heard of the incident with Joseph Stalin who did exactly that and ended up murdering thousands of people just for their religion?

  • hahaha this appears to be a SNL skit wih a fox news logo at the corner lol

  • sigh...

  • This is obviously a satirical sketch.

  • Until all religions can agree on some basic theological things, they don't have much ground to make fun of atheists. We tick none of the above out of thousands of god claims, they pick one, which almost always happens to be the one they were indoctrinated into. I wish religions realized that they were taking an illogical leap of faith and stopped acting like it is atheists who are illogical. Most people should be embarrassed to admit their beliefs about god.

  • Its clearly Saturday Night Live, stop getting so easily offended. Do research before you make up an opinion...

  • Are they serious? This is a fucking news show and they're doing a (weak as shit) comedy segment to undermine the beliefs of people who came by them through logic, reason and material evidence rather than brainwashing, threats and emotional blackmail?

Get these clowns off tv, or at least force them to change the name of their right wing, bigoted show to something that doesn't include the word 'news'.

Their mothers should have swallowed them.

  • Singularly unfunny.

  • Is this a Saturday Night Live skit?

  • Don't forget the eternal suffering, as punishment for finite sin. That's what a REAL god of love does, right? Sentence his own children to anguish everlasting, just for not believing in him?

Hitler and Stalin, combined, don't compare to god's lust for anguish, torture and death.

  • @malignor God's presence is everywhere except there from which He has chosen to remove it. Hell is a place from which He has removed His presence, and He sends there those who decide they do not wish to have a relationship with Him (in other words, He does not force them to be in His presence against their will). The agony of Hell is simply resultant from it being disconnected from every and all Good, as explained in the previous sentence.

  • @FreddyBenelli And when is that decision made final? How much of it depends on "faith" - the big guessing game? What about the Buddhists, Shintos, Hindus (and possibly the Muslims and Jews, depending on specifics), or Polytheists? Or those who were born, raised, live, grow old and die without any compelling reason to believe what you believe?

And ultimately, since I anticipate a chance being given after death, what does it matter what I believe in life, if I get that chance anyway?

  • @malignor Logically speaking, why would there be a hell if God wasn't going to sentence the sinners to it? God does love those who repent, but those who don't do not 'deserve' his love. Also, coming from video surfing A LOT of QI videos, I learnt that as soon as an discussion online uses Hitler as an example or comparison it's best to leave the argument. Cheers!

  • @TheBluddyFaerie When is the last chance to repent? Before or after you come face to face with factual evidence of God?

Also, logically speaking, if God were indeed benevolent, he would send nobody to hell, but only use hell as an inaccessible "storage place" to contain evil, as a way to ensure free will and dual-range morality.

A kind God wouldn't judge anyone until he first gave them all the facts before letting them choose.

  • @malignor To answer your first question I just want to state a foundation fact so that my answer makes sense. I believe that most religions (if not all) are based on faith (among other things like peace and well-being), so then that would lead to concluding that you cannot repent after you've come face to face with God, because it would defeat the whole purpose of faith. To explain further, if someone didn't have faith and didn't believe during his lifetime and THEN (contd.)

  • @TheBluddyFaerie (contd.) came face to face with God he would (if he had any sense of self) of course repent, therefore defeating the whole purpose of faith. I understand only part of your second statement (but not the part about the storage place). God is indeed benevolent, but of course the admittance to heaven isn't a free-for-all (for lack of a better word) would you say it fair that a sinner get admitted into heaven along with a pious man or woman? Or to make my point clearer (contd.)

  • @TheBluddyFaerie (contd.) Do you think both of these people should enter heaven? Person A committed murder and repented and Person B committed murder and felt no remorse. Aside from the fact of mental illness (which God does take into account), do you think Person B shouldn't go to hell? (of course I am posing this question as a hypothetical one as I believe that it is up to God to judge). (contd.)

  • @TheBluddyFaerie (contd.) I might not know how to put this correctly, but justice is an idea/law that God has commanded to be followed and in a way it is an idea that God follows Himself. So logically there must be justice in the way people are going to be judged. Now your third statement is quite an interesting one, which I believe might have many different views. Those views (coincidentally) are DIFFERENT religions. (contd.)

  • @TheBluddyFaerie Because of course (and I'm going to focus on 3 religions/books in particular) the Torah, the Bible and the Qur'an all claim to be the truth that has been revealed from God. (Essentially, in your words "gave them all the facts before letting them choose") So on that note, God has given us these books (facts) to work with, and in a way it's up to us to choose the path.

  • @malignor I know it's a long reply, but I quite enjoyed looking at this logically and hope the discussion remains friendly and civil.

  • @TheBluddyFaerie Holy books do not provide facts backed with evidence. If they did, there would be no need for faith. You argue that God demands faith, with partial information, on pain of suffering eternal... and that is justice? Can't you see how cruel and childish such a thing is? Like someone who sets up a guessing game, the losers get waterboarded for 100 years. Only for God, it's more than 47239438 years... for under 100 years of sin. Benevolent indeed.

  • Aren't these so-called presenters embarrassed at participating in this cringe worthy farce, to call it juvenile would be an insult to the younger generation.

  • I know! I'll create some non-believers so I can kill them! Sounds like a a brilliant decision any omniscient being would make! Derrrrrrpppp

  • Comment removed

  • So the moral of the story is; be nice to your omnipresent intergalactic Fuhrer, or he'll kill you off!

  • Yes...a loving and forgiving god.. So forgiving that he kills all that don't believe.

  • believe or die fools!

  • Ahahahahaha, man this is halarious - christians laughing at people being killed, how christian of them

  • @FalseAlarm100 I can imagine this in a Family Guy episode...

  • This is fucking Stupid.. Thanks for Uploading

  • You know those guys who think they are really funny and people mockingly tell them to pursue stand up? This is where those unfunny fucktards end up, Fox news.

  • o yes cause when i think of richard dawkins and his writing the first word that pops into my mind is militant, gtfo fox.

  • "Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!" I saw this movie when I was 10 & have been an atheist ever since.

  • Saturday Night Live?

  • is this REAL?

  • Is this really real? This is what passes as a news station in America? This is shit.

  • This was stupid and only furthers my belief that, if there is a satanic movement, Fox News embodies it. I'm of an Agnostic mindset so I reserve any belief on either side, but this was truly mind-numbing and inspires an ire in me reserved for true bastards that seek to exploit ignorance and fear in the weak and lost. If there is a Hell then these insidious peddlers will be its occupants, not those using their brains to question and explore a healthy doubt.

  • @Lunartrek Don't worry there is no hell or heaven.

  • So you're supposed to believe in god because you fear him? I would call that blackmailing.

  • @AngryHumanoid I would call that every Abrahamic religion.

  • Is this... the news?

I don't like the news in my country but this is a bag of bollocks.

  • @IAINoodle thats fox "news" they kinda just do dumb shit daily, maybe they troll?

  • I love how this was Fox News' attempt at a program like The Daily Show. This is such unfunny tripe haha

  • WTF? Is this what constitutes as news in the US?

  • Religion is a proper way of life. Those who don't believe will learn their lesson at the Rapture. Fox news is America, no the worlds most honest and trusted network. Those that think Bill O'Reilly or any of Fox's other news angels were not sent to earth directly by God our saviour are wrong. Atheists are all idiots and MOR..... Oooomf *Crushed by falling cow*

  • Daw' look and listen to all the little sheep! Its sooo cute! I just want to pet them and tell them everything is gonna be alright. They won't have to follow a bunch mean ol dogs like to control their thoughts to fed the illusion of dominance any longer. For once they are brought to be slaughtered, their won't be no more pain of listening to rightwingnuts trying to troll its product because once their dead and used up, they don't have to put up with any more bullshit. Why? Cus God doesn't exist.

  • wow Fox news is pretty fucked up

  • And this is... news? Only in America...

  • Is this the onion?

  • this is actually a really good dismissal of religion; precisely because the fact thatthis sort of thing DOES'NT happen with any statistical reliability is a reasonable argument against divine intervention (or at least of the Judeo-Christian angry god variety)

  • Hang on a second.

Fox is using a stellar example of how religion uses fear to control people, and the audience are actually applauding?

Theists, there's a reason why we think you're all dumb. It's because you can't see your own hand when you hold it in front of your face.

  • @MikeNashFlash Nice, I like that

  • @MikeNashFlash I think this is a medical condition, called "Stockholm Syndrome by proxy"

  • FOX = 666

  • Atheism discredits itself.

  • @12Ominous

Damn, thats a deep and considered argument.

but not as deep as this:

    Religion is fat! So there!

  • @12Ominous All religion discredits itself.

  • Hilarious to Christians and Atheists! A rare and unintentionally redeeming moment for FOX News.

  • So, FoxNews agreed that God is psycho murderer who kill whoever disagree with him. Got it.

  • it's like final destination :D

  • Oh, this is comedy... go figure

  • @Christmasgoat is that what you call this?

  • @Polydynamix Um, no, but it has to be...? Right?? It's hard to tell with Faux News

  • @Christmasgoat I think this is an accurate depiction of how fox news conducts its reporting. No fact, all distraction and spin.

  • @Polydynamix True, but is this a real attempt by Fox to do satire? I do not see any regular SNL crew there...?

  • Was this on SNL?? I don't think Faux "News" has enough talent to come up with a skit like this. This was actually funny.

  • You know, if these books were about Satan instead of God, this piece would come across to Christians as horror, not comedy. All it shows is that they worship a bloodthirsty monster, and think that that's cool and funny.

  • That was embarrasing...I feel sorry for your americans having that crap thrown at you daily, you must be real tired of it :/

  • @GazAnders69 don't feel sorry for us the TV has an on/off switch. I've been living in Europe for three yeas now and I don't bash entire cultures based on bad TV. I know you didn't really do that but so many do here. I think of myself as a free man before any other label is slapped on me....

  • @johnnyenglish43

    lol no problem dude :P

  • why cant i dislike this

  • this is awful

  • Comment removed

  • Propaganda much?

  • well that certainly changed my mind...

  • I can't believe I had this nonsense saved in my "Watch Later" playlist...

  • @TheSilviepie I'm an atheist but on behalf of my friend: There's not. Hell was a giant misinterpretation from the Greek and Hebrew Bible. The "lake of fire" was supposed to mean a lake of souls (heaven, souls being the fire) not a literal lake of fire.

  • Stupid sketch. Funny enough, notice how this has never happened. Why? Cause there is no god. This is a fail as a sketch, though I like the players personally. Its just a stupid premise. No intelligent atheist would be coerced by a coincidence or change their entire views on a dime like this. Its just shitty comedy writing, by someone who's beliefs are founded on emotion.

  • Doesn't Fox News, by definition, fail?

  • if something like this actually happened, i'd not suspect there to be a god. it'd suspect fox killing atheists because bill o'reilly came up with a final solution. ^^

  • Comment removed

  • One thing I never understood: if god loves everyone, why is there even a hell?

  • if we assumed this was real God must suffer from a inferiority complex since he had the need to kill people who spoke agaisnt him. I mean a strong person, especially if that person is omnipotent, should be strong enough to not care if some few people disagreed. Secondly, i thought killing people you disliked were indemocractic, but again it is fox ;) democracy is not their thing

  • Is this real?...

  • So if we don't believe in god we die? But wait, we die anyway. I'd rather not live my one and only life under complete delusion.

  • To Faux News fucktards- if everyone was stupid like you to believe in the Bible, you wouldn't even be on National TV. You would probably just be shepherds like Jesus. And all of us would have been stuck in the dark ages.

  • The funniest thing is that this is supposed to be a News channel.

  • Epic Fail!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nowhere in the bible does it say that jesus isn't a raptor, proving that raptor jesus did go extinct for your sins

  • i like how they think making the point that god will torture you if you don't believe in him is in some way funny

  • @Dylan20121 It is funny. A loving God that lights people on fire? A just God who doesn't punish anything but disbelief? A truthful God that can't stop contradicting himself? It's classic backwards satire, like a cartoon of Superman being beat up by a mouse.

What's not funny is gullible, unthinking people actually believe this crap is real.

  • all of these athiests are close-minded and God will punish all of them by damning them to HELL!!

jk god doesnt exist, only Odin the almighty

  • @partisan49 Odin, Thor... and lots of others. Not that wussy carpenter.

  • @partisan49 ALL HAIL ODIN!!!!!!!!!

  • @partisan49 wow u really are going to burn in hell u know that, blasphemy is a mortal sin and im sure apollo himself will escort u to hades.

  • americans...

  • This was actually pretty funny.

  • haha i thought this was legit

  • did the faux news channel just murder a lady?

  • Were the people who made this show atheists? Because this show was killed off pretty fast.

  • How come? men like dogs both have to go down to the ground level to take a shit?

God the eternal will never do that. Will he?

  • Funny thing is, if this were done about any other belief system, there would be outcry, regardless of it's comedic merit. Double standards disgust me.

  • The talk show hosts killed the first two guests! Craig has to pretend he has been "saved" to get the hell out of there alive.

  • What the fuck kind of God do they believe in at Faux news? homeboy looked like he got choked out by Darth Vader

  • As an athiest from a secular nation this is baffling to me. What is wrong with Americans?

  • @NationalLibertarian About as much as is wrong with you fuckface. They think they're better than you the same way you do about them...hm seems like you have more in common with the petty americans than you thought... oh holy shit. Fucking assface.

  • @spartankelso Butthurt Christian, American or both?

  • At 3:32 did he say "nuculus" while he wanted to say "nucleus"?

  • The only thing this skit can show is that the christian would be very small-minded, should he exist.

  • What a weak sketch. Nothing bold about it in anyway.

  • I'm struggling to believe that people think this is real.
