Best of luck with this project. Opus 2525 was finished the same year as the Estey at First Presbyterian, Warsaw. The organ was removed in the late 1970s, but had already lost its luminous console by 1954. This instrument, as has been written elsewhere, is highly unique since it retains the original console. Judging from the recording, the foundations are quite a bit brighter than what I remember in Warsaw. This instrument needs to be preserved at all costs!
@Jeschbac Be sure you listen to the Nutcracker Fantasy. The Cor Glorieux *reedless reed" in the Arabian Dance section is really a superb imitative sound!
I'd love to know more about the organ, spec and what were the circumstances that got it playing again. Who did the work to get it playing? These days CDs can be made cheaply. Maybe one could be made as a fund raiser.
@wurlitzer3 The videos we are posting are the first step in this. Several local volunteers worked to get the organ cleaned up and to get it playing. Our firm (Reynolds Associates Organ Builders) was called in because of numerous problem with the stop controls. I have quite a lot of experience with the luminous system and with Esteys in general, so I was interested in the project from the start.
What a wonderful Estey sound! Best of luck on your restoration efforts.

Wow...is there any hope of a full restoration?
I'm almost certain that my grandfather would have known this organ.

@ruxtoncar A restoration proposal has been submitted, and the Masons are working on fund-raising. Was your grandfather a member of that lodge?
