My daughter in public school wanted to do a project on the residential school system (we are in Canada) her history teacher didn't know what she was talking about and told her she would check into it. When her teacher got back to her she told my daughter it would be too confrontational and disturbing. Meanwhile the students were given a diluge in American history about civil rights and the slave trade. We didn't have plantations in Canada. The people that got screwed over here were the Indians.

This is probably the US gov that suppressed and killed minorities throughout modern history. Look up COINTELPRO, Government assassinations of human right Leaders such as the Indian Movement. Wow why the censorship? If it were about slavery or the black civil rights movement it would be ok so why can something about Indians censored? This is my 1st time to see N.
