love her to my core...she is absolutly an awesome female role model.if i could be half the amazing person she was i would consider myself complete.all i could do is name my dog after her,a week after she passed i bought my dog for 100 dollars,he is still alive and kickin'.she was an amazing talent that seemed to slip through the fingers of the powers that be.
HOPLA ... What a fantastic tune this was... glad to get a grab of it again... What I really loved in Dusty ... that she was far ahead of time ... she moved her whole body when she sang... wasn't just a brick in the wall ... She really felt the music and couldn't just stand there like a statue.
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.
Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
I've always liked this song, whose composer died recently. I watched this series back in the sixties and it is good to see it again. Dusty was exciting.
This is one of the best performances from the dvd ! I love this one especially because you could clearly see what fun it was for her to be doing exactly what she wanted to do at that time. It's a fun one to watch!
Wow, this is awesome. Dusty is one of the top 5 female singers of ALL TIME. Gorgeous, fun, real and soooo talented. Some of these young female singers of today could sure learn a few lessons from her. Her voice was so effortless and sexy, filled with emotion and passion matched by so few female singers today. She had true, real talent and tons of soul in her voice. She had it, man, she sure had it. Love to watch her and hear her sing.
@blondbeehive.......groovalicious....yes I think that about sums it up....I cant think of a better way to describe our girl .....that is if there are words to describe her....haha....i just sit here stunned and speechless most of the time
go, girl!!!!! hahaha.....what a fab-u-lous entertainer she was....love her......i bet the "gents in the orchestra" got the biggest kick out of her...god bless em....they worked their butts off for her....and we got these perfect, timeless films.....dusty what can we say....yr the best
Gorgeous! FUN! I wish she was still with us, however, she is immortal here that's for sure. Thank you for posting these! Wonderful!!! Just watching her sing and dance...is just out of this world.
Whoa, Dusty, in all of her Darnell of London, Chanel #5 wearin', soul singing, groovalicious dancin' bada** glory. All hail to the Queen! And thank you gferdinadus for this breath of fresh wonder and joy.
I love watching this video and watching Dusty.....oh those move!!!!!..........sigh..........missing you much Dusty.......wish you were still here....lovely lady.
Love those dance moves!! She looked like she was having so much fun. Thank you gferdinandus for these videos.....I get to enjoy Dusty every day. Loving and missing you lots Dusty RIP
you re right a lot of the indentured servants from late 1700s to early 1800s were irish horse & wagon drivers hence the term "crackers" because of their whips..:CRACK"
Hello, firstly can I say thankyou SO MUCH for uploading these fantastic video's to show what a great artist Dusty was/is, she is such a great singer, i'm only 14, but I listen to her music everyday.
Secondly, I have this dvd, and it is also so good, however I was wondering why on the episodes they put on this dvd why they didn't include all of the guests that she had on the show as she often did duets with them..
Finally, how come they didn't include the full credits at the end?
Too bad he couldn't include the whole ending. Dusty REALLY breaks it down (think Jake Blues dancing across stage, but a hundred times better) to a drum solo before signoff.:)
That's what makes Ms. Springfield the most talented female singer ever. She could belt out a tune, perform with the song and dance like a Supreme.
Thank you for your interest in Dusty. At the end of the clip the sound is terrible and the screen faded to black. There is nothing more to see. That is the end.
OK, sorry...saw the incomplete version posted here under another user and assumed it was yours. Yep, we're lucky to get these Dusty BBC specials in any condition at all, but the film reel got damaged at the end of this one. Shame, since it is my personal favorite of Dusty's "raves".
Solomon Burke, a soul music pioneer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee whose songs blended soul, gospel, country and R&B, has died. He was 70. Burke died early Sunday He was scheduled to perform in Amsterdam on Tuesday. Burke's biggest hits include his first single, "Cry to Me," and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love," 1964. recorded by the Rolling Stones, most famous for its use in The Blues Brothers, starring Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Dirty Dancing also popularized "Cry to Me,"
This video is superb! I did not know Dusty sang this. Wonderful! My favorite chanteuse singing one of my all-time favorite songs. How lucky I am to find this!
