hmmm so it can recharge itself. It can do tasks such as cleaning windows, serving food etc. Is this the beginning of the obsolete human. IRobot meets the Matrix? Scary stuff actually...
yea. the backpack( the Battery i mean ) is much thinner and it may skinnier so that it have more freedom in movement and better stability and more lighter so that if it falls, no many damage occurs and ASIMO development team is working on to let ASIMO stand up in case if it falls.
I was wondering if they switched to different leg actuators such as using a tendon based drive setup pioneered in some of the MIT and darpa robots vs direct gear box drives the first Asimo had.
That would make the legs skinnier and the robot over all more reliable.
hiring asimo should cost a lot, cuz he is very expensive, i read somewhere that asimo costs like 1 million per copy and just for a day its like 20 grands. thats a very expensive caffeteria!!
That's right kids- Mock the robot slave, why doncha? Just remember this moment when you're applying for a Job in 20 years and the Robo HR manager won't return your calls. Remember how much you laughed at the mechanical man serving you Pepsi for no wage. Lauhg it up!

One things I can see is that if the ankle movement gets improved, it'll be able to walk straighter than it is now.
But it'll have to stand on smaller space(toe) and keep balance at the same time until the other foot lands.

They seemed to really improved Asimo including giving it a much better voice.
I wonder if the JAXA will make a robonaut based on Asimo since NASA is making a robonaut.

So, is this the latest Asimo model?
Legs seem to be a little skinnier but nothing really look different from two years ago.
