WOW! Thank you so so so very much for answering this question! I am considering the surgery.. and lately I've been worried that things might.. umm.. sag.. to.. umm look more like the boy things.. lol! *SHAME* because theres really quite a lot of fat there.. so thank you for addressing this.. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.. ahem *runaway*
lol wow!! I cant wait to feel "exposed" :oD...............Im jus starting my weight loss journey but im gonna subscribe to your channel and I'll let you kno when im feelin exposed!! :oD lol..................God bless gurl!! :o)
When I first saw your video I was surprised that something like that could happened. But in the last couple of weeks I have been feeling the same way. I drive a truck at night sometimes and I kept adjusting the way I was sitting cause I just felt exposed. It even happens when I work out and it just feels soo freakin weird.
MJ..as personal as this is, I am so glad you brought this up, because I actually have had this same question. I have found the same to be true with me, to where I feel more "exposed" as I have lost weight. I also have more feeling and it feels great at the same time, weird and I understand your comment about, "thank God for clothes".
I was at the gym yesterday and I'm looking around at the women stretching next to me wondering if they feel the same way. I don't know, but yes thank god for clothing. Even though it feels weird, mostly because it's a new feeling, it does feel good in other ways. There might be something to being more exposed.
I think that's funny! I look forward to the day when my thighs don't rub together and maybe I'll feel a little more 'exposed'. Can't ever envision going commando but it would be great to ditch the grannie panties for something cuter. Don't worry, no one can see your 'stuff' and you are doing great, you look beautiful so keep on letting it hang out, it's your secret and you'll get used to it if things feel different than they did before.
Lol, my little secret...if only they knew. I'm slowly getting used to it, but it's still like, "woah, what's going on down there." But you know it awesome to be changing even though it's in ways I hadn't anticipated.
Kudos to you MJ for putting this out there. We all are experiencing some "strange" changes after this surgery...I think the important thing is that it's normal even if we don't always talk about it...When things like this come up I just have to remind myself that it's part of the process.
So true. There have been so many unexpected things that have changed or come up as a result of this surgery. So many things have changed and it would probably be not normal if they didn't. I can't even imagine how much more is yet to come.
A lot of things changed when you lose weight and yes, some of your body parts might feel exposed (i love the way you put it) but I guess it's just you getting smaller everywhere. It's a great thing! Soon you will be wearing bikini's and THEN you will feel exposed. LOL You have changed a LOT. I'm proud. Best of all, keep it going.
Lol, bikinis, I can't quite picture that yet. I'm going to takes lot of pictures when that happens. Thank you for the nice comment. I'm not sure how much more changing is going to happen or what that will feel like :)
your honesty and willing to discuss private issues about private parts is AWESOME! i just subscribed look forward to going back and watching your journey.
Thank you for adressing this topic! I had been thinking about it earlier, how things would be "down there", but haven`t had anyone to ask. I am watching your video and now I am going to watch Janies video as well. This is important stuff, I am so grateful that you talk about it MJ! Big hug to you!
Thanks, a big hug back to you. Your way ahead of where I was as a pre-op. I didn't even think about how things would change "down there". I'm glad this video was of some help:)
Yet another Miss Janie follower popping over to your vlog. Thank you for being so honest. I have thought about the thighs not rubbing together but I have to say I haven't thought about right above the thighs being changed.
Thank you for putting yourself out there like this and documenting this part of your journey for all of us. For me its something to look forward too.. for others it seems its about thank you for making them not feel like the only one. You are wonderful!
Thanks Sharee. I think I needed to feel like I wasn't the only one and I'm so glad that some people can relate to what I'm saying. There's so many changes to look forward to. This one was definitely unexpected.
I too am a Miss Janie follower and I just had to view your video.. you are NOT alone sista.. I know exactly what you mean. I am going to Fla in 5 weeks and I want to post a video about wearing this attire.. is it appropriate and is there too much cleavage going on.. so its like I need another female opinion.. its gonna be tagged yeah or nay !
I love knowing that I'm not alone, thanks. I guess it's just a little discussed part of the changes that happen after losing a lot of weight. I'll look out for your video, I don't mind giving an opinion :)
Hi MJ! I ran across your video after watching Missjannie's video response. Actually I have been thinking about this topic on the Guy's side of it also. I have been having some of the same issues. Things are .....not as restricted....After losing weight for a guy. It's sort of a kin to athletes adjusting themselves. I would always think is that really necessary? Great topic - great video!
Hey Larry, Thanks for the comment. I was wondering if there was a difference for guys and what that would be. Lol, so if I see a guy adjusting himself, I'll know that it really is necessary. It's funny all the unexpected changes our bodies are going through.
hiyas, found you through Janie. Ok this will sound really taboo to say and I can't believe I'm going to but...I can see my lower lady parts in the shower! 80lbs ago I couldn't. I still have to bend forward a little but my lady parts are real and no longer just a myth. LOL
I love this comment! A woman in my support group talked about that being her NSV. It's not a myth, it really does exist. I've been pleasantly surprised that I can stand in front of a mirror and actually see myself. My stomach isn't hanging low enough to cover anything. Thank you for sharing that.
I'll add my congrats to the pile on being extremely brave! And, yep, I feel that way too. I hadn't thought of it as more exposed, but I feel like I'm just noticing it more - I worry you can see the outline in pants and it seems like I notice the shape of it in clothes and stuff. I guess because I don't have an apron of fat (as much) to protect me. Weird thoughts!!
There has to come a point where there really isn't much to lose. I've seen/read online where a mons lift is included with a tummy tuck. It might be something included in a lower body lift.
You know what's weird, when I pull my pants up (because some are too big and keep sliding down), I'm literally pulling them up into me. That has never happened before. Maybe I don't need to pull them up quite so high. It's all really weird and I really can't imagine how much more exposed I'll be. I think I'd feel even more self conscious if I could see the outline in my clothes. It's all so weird. I guess we'll get used to it:)
You're welcome! You are so much more advanced in your thoughts on this surgery than I was. I never even thought of how my female anatomy would change. I just thought about being thin and healthy and not what that would mean for certain body parts. Good luck on Wednesday! I hope you have a speedy recovery!
I'm writing you an email regarding my response... MJ you're TOO awesome for talkin about this... people are always SO scared to bring anything like this up. Look for my email soon! :)
I'm keeping an eye out for your email:) I'm glad everyone has responded to this so positively and it really helps to hear how everyone is experiencing this change. I felt like I had to share this even if it just gave everyone a good laugh. Hope you're having a great rest of the day.
i didn't think about it like that but now that i do, yes i feel more exposed and i like it! i've actually taken pride in the fact that the little me is more visibile! lol! i have even begun 2 accentuate the little me with brazillain waxes. lol! painful but work the results!
A Brazilian? Wow, you're braver than me! That's awesome. I guess the pain is only temporary, right? I don't think I'm ready to feel even more exposed. The weight loss has made me feel more sexy and sensual in general and maybe being a little more exposed is a part of that.
Brave video!! I don't know if that's how I feel, I feel more free I guess and that feels a little weird after being so self conscious for such a long time about my body, like Ahhh, I can breath now!!! LOL
Lol, I kind of feel like I shouldn't breath so deeply. I could describe it as free, but it's still too new to feel free, lol, just weird. I'm glad you can relate in some way and that I'm not alone :)
Good question. You know I just re-watched that video and I've done 17 out of the 35 things on the first video. I haven't checked the other videos. I didn't realize I had done so much already.
Yes, odd is another good word. I was talking to my best friend about it and she had no idea what I was talking about. I guess it's normal for people who have always been small.
well, not exposure...but its loose in the coochie! i get, try not to laugh too hard, but AIR BUBBLES! cuz its so loose! so oh yeah, its not weird at all! lol
Lol, you are the only person, just kidding!!!!!!!!!! I am sure that some others are having that same problem. I haven't experienced that, I haven't lost enough weight yet,lol
wow, thanks for doing this video. I haven't experienced physical exposure yet, just emotional. However, i still have a long ways to go. gives me something to look forward too...lol
Yes, lol, keep thinking of it as something to look forward to and it may not be so weird :) I'll be thinking of you on Monday for a safe surgery and extra speedy recovery.
wow you're more open about things than i am! but i commend you for being so out there! but i know exactly what you're going through, because it does feel different down there! lol. i believe too its because we lost a lot of fat down there :s but it feels so much better! xD
I tried to post a comment and I think I messed up. I just wanted to say that it may all even itself out one day. I would think that this is a plus for some, adds a little extra to your relationship. Anyway great vid, I'm sure there are many woman who are having the same issues (I wish it was me) as you.
I hope it does even out, in fact I'm just going to believe that it will. It's been a plus romantically, but just weird in everyday life. Lol, I'll eventually get used to it.
You are awesome. I think it was really brave to talk about this - especially so open and honest. There are probably a lot more people thinking about this - or experiencing it, than are willing to admit! Thank you for being brave and putting this out there.. You rock :-) have a great Sunday!
Thanks and I think you're probably right. I can't be the only one to notice such a huge change. Maybe next time I talk about this, I'll be able to look directly in the camera, lol :) I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.
You are more brave than I, and thanks. Yes, things do feel different in down there. And isn't it odd to think about how 'fat' you were THERE?!? And my sex life is definatly improved, especially since my husband had the surgery as well and is down over 100 lbs now. *smiles*
Thanks so much for sharing this video. take care - jenn
You're welcome. I figured I'd throw it out there, even if I was alone. Yes, the sex is much better (maybe it's energy level, more exposure, probably a combination:) Congrats to your husband on his weight loss!
I haven't gotten your level of weight loss yet but I understand the feeling. we had a nice sheild on that area and it is now gone. Only thing I can say is my bf loves it. He thinks the new space (if you will) is awesome. LOL
I hear ya! I think we were just used to being "protected" by fat. Just wear the right clothing and you won't have to keep checking to see if you have your pants on, haha! Yeah, I sometimes have to look down to see if I forgot to put my shorts on when I walked out of the house. Another thing I discovered is my pubic bone!
Thanks so much for this comment. I really thought maybe I was the only one. I can't believe skinny women have been walking around feeling like this their entire lives. I was wondering if I needed to get super tight underware so I would feel a little more secure, lol. Yeah, I've found my pubic bone too, what a trip. Love you!
you are too funny! I've really gotta start watching your videos... I love your comments Donna.. :-)
I think we would get along great. I have seen one or two of your vids... but with school and stuff, I can't seem to keep up with everyone... but I have noticed your comments. you are so funny and seem so down to earth! :-)

I was wondering if I needed to get super tight underware so I would feel a little more secure, lol. Yeah, I've found my pubic bone too, what a trip. Love you!

I think we would get along great. I have seen one or two of your vids... but with school and stuff, I can't seem to keep up with everyone... but I have noticed your comments. you are so funny and seem so down to earth! :-)
