I don't get this at all: you took Rick Astley's voice and put it thru some kind of filter thing, added the music from "Never gonna give you up" but slowed down a bit. Check. What did you use to slow down the song or filter it? And where does Kylie Minogue come into play? I didn't hear her sing one bit!

The _only_ person you hear is Kylie, but lowered by a few half-tones via software. That means the pitch of the song is lowered but without the song player slower. I then added some drums and shakers to give the song back some higher frequencies to make it sound more "real".

Nope, speeding up doesn't work well in general, pitching Astley does not sound like Kylie. It only works the other way round.

It should though... I mean if you have Kylie singing at say 500 Hz, then speed her down to say, 400 Hz, and it sounds like Rick Astley singing at 400 Hz, then if you take Rick Astley singing at 400 Hz, and speed it up to 500 Hz, wouldn't it sound like Kylie Minogue?

Basically, if you go from 500Hz (K) to 400Hz (R), can't you go from 400Hz (R) to 500Hz (K) where K and R stand for Kylie and Rick <_<

Singing is not only about frequency, it's the overtones that are important. Pitching Astley up will lose them (or he never had them in the first place), while Minogue's voice is "rich" in tones, and pitching them down does not destroy them.
