The orchestra is out of tune! Aghrrr.................
Aside from that, the vocalists might sound OK in a different venue. This sounds like they were performing in a school auditorium. The accoustics are horrid. Violins are on the nose!!

Instrumentalists are mediocre and need polishing... but the soloists are absolutely awesome!!!

i have a disc recording of stabat mater sung by mirella freni and teresa berganza, that is very beautiful.

we sang quando corpus for the ACDA national honor choir. it was pretty hard 2 learn but its a beautiful song.

Acoustics are awful... rushing too much... for a student orchestra it is probably all right though. As an ensemble they didn't persuade me, however as individual musicians they may be better. More practice will improve everything. Soprano is too loud compared to Mezzo. Second movement is too slow compared to the first one, but better tempo than the first.

I love this piece. We will play the Stabat Mater of Pergolesi with the Chamber orchestra of the Youth Symphonic Orchestra of El Salvador, on march 22nd
