9:123 liberated the Roman people from their oppressive regime, as well as liberated the Persians for their oppressive regime. In both cases, these countries did not allow religious freedom. While the particular verse for not befriending apostates and believers is incorrect, there are plenty of other verses which serve the same purpose, including in the most reliable Haddiths (e.g. al-Bukhari). Therefore, i don't think Fitna is being misleading regarding orthodox Islamic beliefs, based on qu'ran and sunnah.

Surah 8:39 The phrase "from persecution" is NOT present in verse 39. It appears only in verse 40. In the translations of:

Yusuf Ali - you are to fight when you meet "unbelievers"

Malik - "unbelievers"

Asad - "those who deny truth"

Pickthal - places "from persecution" in parenthesis. Your video asserts it as though from persecution was a compulsary feature of this verse. That is false.

Any arabic speaker would not even be aware of the "persecution" apologetics in ONE of SEVERAL English qu'ran

since you see the word "persecution" in the following verse (verse 40), then you must agree that Pikthal putting it between parentheses gives the proper translation, context and meaning to verse 39.

So even without knowing what specific persecution was happening to the Muslims when the verse was revealed (which there was) you can see just from these same verses that the context is not violent, but in self defense.

Some valid points, but this video swings too far in opposite direction from Fitna and involves some deceptions of its own!

Surah 47:1-3 There is no mention of battle. The 4th verse does not mention battle either, but in translations of Alad, Yusuf Ali & Malik this is added in parentheses - though no such word as "battle" is in the verse.

Surah 4:8 If it refers to afterlife, why does Allah speak in the PLURAL: "WE will do this; OUR signs". Allah makes it clear he has no partners!

You wrote "Allah speaks in the PLURAL"...this is the "royal plural" and is still in use in the English language today (for example, the UK Queen refers to herself as WE. This is also the case in Hebrew, Aramaic & Arabic. So anytime God says "We" in the Old Testament, Jews did NOT think He was plural.

In Islam we have two basic literatures, the first one is Qur'an which was memorised by Prophet, his companions and muslims till date along with preservation in writing that is continued since the time of holy Prophet, peace be upon him.

The second literature is Hadith which is recorded with the person who transmitted and the one who narrated them. Lady Aisha was the narrator of plenty of Hadiths even about her private relations with Prophet pbuh which is recorded.

When we try to divide children from adults, we place their maturity according to age and then make a dividing line where most of the children will be considered adult.
