I remember the whole teenage devil worshiping outrage, and spinning records backwards thing back in the 80s. I don't know if I watched that particular episode of 20/20 or not, but I probably did. Watching 20/20 was a regular Friday night thing for years.
And they were having a baseball drug probe in 1985; boy, how things never change.
In a dark, ironic sort of way, you'll find almost all the familiar '80s social anxieties condensed into promos like this one: Man-eating tarantulas that find you in the dark, suburban DUIs, the financially successful fearing failure, & satanic worship for dummies.
Don LaFontaine voiced the "Deadly Intentions" promo. RIP, Don, you're missed "in a world where all the trailers suck because you're gone".

Protip: Don't run out in front of drunk drivers. They probably had One Too Many.

@Yobachi2007 This was when 20/20 aired on Thursdays. It wouldn't air on Fridays until 1987.

It's a shame those two (Dynasty) spots were not seen on FX and SOAPnet, but thank you for showing them again.

Those spots could not have been seen on FX and Soapnet
because they were produced solely for ABC.

I remember seeing syndicated repeats of 'Hawaii Five-O' and 'Magnum PI' in the 80s/90s and the show mid-bumper was left intact.
