Ice Fishing Bass Late January in New Hampshire

whats your trick for bass? do you ever use tip ups or do you just jig? I also fish and live in NH but cant seem to get bass through the ice.

@FRDMAN27 FRD what part of new hampshire i'm from manchester and i catch many bass through the ice both using live shiners on tip ups and jigging. make sure u are fishing about a foot above the water its usually better fishing down there.

Is that the same as Country or Great pond, Great pond where the State park is I have fished there many times but not since the winter kill a couple of years ago, has that lake come back yet, would love to fish there again

There are times where it gets tough as I was fishing by myself and the bigger fish came in shallow water so didn't have much time to get the camera going

Nice job bro! I just put a video together of some Smallie fishing in NH this past weekend. We just free line shiners on a #6 or #8 hook and bombs away!! Seems as though the morning bite (before 10 especially) is the best...

that is a big bass i catch big bass in the summer but never that big. nice video

Thanks, that is the biggest one that I have caught through the ice and especially on an ice fishing rod which was a lot of fun and luckily it was fairly shallow water as if I had caught it deep, not sure that I would have gotten it in

Keep at it is all that you can do and also keep moving around until you fish areas that the fish are relating to

It was fun and looking forward to going back next week, I was fishing a flat that drops off into the deeper part of the main lake, the big fish was on top of the flat and the others on the downward side
