No, while Pakistan may have supported the establishment of the Taliban in Afganistan, Afganistan did not "warn" the US about its intentions to support terrorists. If the Saudi government or a government in Africa were supporting the terrorists of 9/11, then yes, the US would have invaded them instead. I don't think finding Osama or the Al Qaeda leadership is easy. The tribal areas in Pakistan are large and difficult to work in. The problem will not be solved easily.

It seems that you don't get the point or you haven't studied history. Ahmad Shah Masoud who was assisinated a day before 9/11 wanred the US. Now we are in Afghanistan. Osama is not found.
