I was there yesterday morning! there should be around 20,000 students like me trying to put the point "Olympic is no place for politics!" and "Once china" through to the naive pro-Tibetans. The students was peaceful but the Tibetans have to walk over to our side and wave their flags to provoke us but end of the day we had more people, more flags, more 'Genuine' supporters which eventually out numbered them and shut them up for good!

I'm sorry, but no, pointing out the faults of your opponent does not justify your actions. Until yesterday I was very disappointed by the Tibetan protests and felt alienated from their cause because of what I saw as unnecessarily disruptive acts. Yesterday I felt the same thing towards China as well, neither side won any support by deliberately disrupting or flooding the relay. The modern relay is a sporting, not a political event. Stop trying to exploit it to suit your agenda, whatever that is.

I am also from Sydney, Australia and I spent a few weeks in Tibet in January 2008.

I found the experience very emotional, Until I went there I din't have much perspective on what it is like today.

To my horror, it is even worse than I knew.I thought 'how is it that these things can go on without the world knowing' I was scared in China, I couldn't stop thinking 'If they can do this to their own people, imagine what they could do to me'
