  • My friends didn't even understand this movie.. they wanted to go just to see the fight scenes between Kong and the V-Rex..

  • @GambianGrrl96 I cried when I saw this movie, but I don't feel like giving you a thumbs for your comment just because I expressed a certain emotion during it. As a matter of fact I'm kinda disappointed in the 31 (and counting(maybe)) that did. More so than the 10 that disliked this song, only because it was their actual opinion

  • "thumps hand against chest"

    beautiful

  • This movie was too melodramatic. I didn't expect all this emotionality and I cried!

  • " It was beauty that killed the beast..."

  • @poetofthepast00 yeah thx we know the movie

  • Magnificent piece of music.

  • James Newton Howard - master of touching music.

  • Rest In Peace Angel Caylee Marie Anthony <3 We will never forget you. This song makes me cry, cause it reminds me of what happened to her. Poor baby.

  • gives me shivers!

  • can anybody please find me the link to the vastosaurus battle song?

  • @saintvalentine666 im 99% sure ive found the vid for that soundtrack before, seems like things just disseapear on youtube. :|

  • 10 soldiers dislike this vid

  • I am so unbelievably excited that James Newton Howard will be making the soundtrack for The Hunger Games <3333

  • 10 people are T- Rex

  • @DarkDChief117

    It's V-Rex actually.

  • I pretty much agree with everyone about this scene it's so beautiful, breathtaking, and so pure. Out of all the scenes this is probably my favorite scene, you see Kong out on the street and he meets his love and they spend some quality time together, dancing, it's so beautiful. The music and the scene really match eachother.

  • Heavenly music, peaceful...

  • i did cry but i do know how to play this on the piano. and another one i know how to play is "Its a wonderful night for a moondance"

  • beautiful, this reminds me of life, never give up, push until you reach it.

  • those who disliked this were the creatures of skull island

  • @createajellybean im king kong

  • beautiful

  • the heartbreaking beauty of this song is unfathomable...

  • why this doesn't have over a million views...I'll never know

  • i have king kong soundtrack sheets, if somebody wants to trade with, im looking james newton howard sheets and game xenogears sheets, also jerry goldsmith and wojcieh killar, like bram stokers dracula.

  • There is so much emotion in this song. Even if you've never watched the movie and without knowing what's going on in this scene you could still feel the emotions of the two characters. That's what makes it beautiful. Having seen the movie, I know what's going on, and this song is amazing to me because it speaks for the characters, Kong and the Lady. They don't have to say a single word because the music says it all. Magnificent.

  • God, it's been nearly six years. I've watched the movie maybe 20, 25 times, and the soundtrack god knows how many times.

    This still makes me cry.

  • This brings back the best memories of my short life.

  • no human word can describe this song

  • I love the music and I love the movie. James Newton Howard did such an amazing job.

  • great music!!

it reflects the sensitivity of this fantasy-movie... very moving. I love it, also appreciate it as a musician (I'm a pianist and composer, you're also welcome to check my youtube channel)

  • This makes me love life.

  • I REALLY THINK PETER JACKSON IS VERY GOOD WITH HIS MOVIES..... I LOVE KING KONG AND REALLY LOVE LOTR..... AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THE HOBBIT!!!!

  • call me crazy butt i think king kong;2005 was just perfect

  • 10 Animal Abusers disliked this video. It's quite sad really.

  • When the day comes that I have to give a speech at my fathers funeral, this song will be playing. I dont know what it is about it, but it is so pure. So beautiful. So, breathtaking. This song reminds you that you are not alone. That there is some place in this world for you. That you make a difference. That someone out there, cares. That someone out there, loves you... This song, it music gold.

  • @TheJDoggStudios This song reminds me that He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world

  • @TheJDoggStudios My friend told me a year ago about this I never understood till I'm listening to this when life is so harsh on me

    thank you :)

  • @jameswpike your welcome. Still listening to it brings out the light in my heart.

  • I'm nearly crying. I know I'm not going to- the song is just grasping. If you've ever put your tongue to an AA battery and you feel that little buzz zing throughout it, you'll know what I mean when I say I feel that all over my body. My forearms are covered in goosebumps. And the song just stopped. That was sudden.

  • what time/key signature is this in?

  • oh, how i love this song!

  • Sort of sounds like 'Flagellation Dark choir Disciples' from Passion of the Christ.

  • @UpwardsFallings forget about christ..its all about KONG!

  • Simply deep and touching. Thanks a lot for posting.

  • Can someone point me to the direction of the piano sheet music for this please???

  • @mrsladyelle97 and you can point to someone of us to the direction of why are you doing here listen this beautiful melody if is not of your taste???

  • @BuAiSmAnA360 Uhhh the whole reason I was asking is because I want to PLAY this beautiful melody dude. did you misread my comment???

  • I love this beautiful melody

  • Beautiful score Mr. Newton-Howard, just simply beautiful.

  • I'm sorry, but how could anyone dislike this song? It's beautiful. D;

  • Manly tears, what an epic score.

  • amazing what greed can do (kong's death) and those who pay to stop the greed.

  • Weeping like a little child after watching King Kong (2005)! So much pain in this movie. Beautiful emotions! Naomi Watts deserves the Oscar for bringing those deep emotions alive! Truly amazing acting!

  • This moment is so beautiful . . . I was not ashamed to cry when I saw this in theatres.

  • My favorite JNH soundtrack :D

  • - Dad, would you kill those 10 people who disliked this soundtrack?

    - Sure, pumpkin.

  • This movie made me cry..... all out balling..... I love this film

  • i just do not know how U can not like this song??o.O

  • This song is beautiful and sad. Makes me wanna cry sometimes. King Kong had human emotions. Another amazing Peter Jackson film. Love it.

  • @AnnieMaddycomedy

No, that's Al Jolsen's "I'm Sitting On Top Of the World" , it's used in the opening sequence. The track I was referring to plays when Anne in walking around New York looking for a producer. It plays again when they cut back to New York after they capture Kong.

  • Why is the other like button upside down? THE FUdge?

  • So beautiful and peaceful. I want this to play like, when I die or something. :)

  • James Newton Howard What A Great Musician ,Jackson's King Kong What A Great Film

  • Dear James Howard,

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Me

  • How it SHOULD have ended: Kong given an enormous zoo home, where Anne visits him every day and he is taken well care of. he also finally gets along with Jack who is now married to Anne. that piece of shit Denham is thrown in jail where he rots his fucking life away until he is a beat down corpse which is then fed to Kong. "and they lived happily ever after."

  • @HollowWithin001 Send that into Hishe's "How it should have ended". PLEASE. lol I would love to see it. :D

  • @Shatallion i will ; )

  • What is the track called where Ann is walking around New York at the beginning? It also plays when it cuts back to New York at the end of the movie. Its all jazzy and 40s style bouncy music.

  • 9 tone deaf idiots failed at grasping the beauty of this song

  • @4440Winchester *you wake up and then a group of carnictus comes out of muddy puddle* O_O Run..!!!

  • @4440Winchester Well said!!!

  • @4440Winchester make that 10 motherfuckers

  • @4440Winchester 10 now, i'm sure they prefer david guetta and lady gaga.... it's so wonderful, there is the pure expression of the beauty and sadnesse (sorry for my english but i'm not native)

  • @salepatatequipue yeah that's why i like this track too, it's like one of the few moments of peace that Ann and King Kong have together...

and don't worry about your english, i understood you:)

  • I find it almost insulting how someone could dislike this. I'm aware people have different tastes, but to dislike something as precious and soothing as this is just wrong...

  • When this movie was completely passed up by the Academy for Oscar nominations is when I officially stopped watching the Academy Awards

  • the big tragedy was that it wasn't the season to hunt kong. that violation comes with a hefty fine. oh..... wait...... they just killed patrick ewing. my bad.

  • Just finished watching it, this part is so sad, yet so pretty :')

  • All i can think of is when Anne first said beautiful to Kong, on Skull Island while they watched the sunset...then my mind shoots back to where the scene Kong lightly pounds his heart(once again Anne saying Beautiful)and what a damn fine relationship they both grew to have in that film. Thank you for uploading this fine piece.

  • There may be a King of the Jungle, but there is only one King of Skull Island, bitches! >:D

  • I Can Play This Music If One Want Play This Music Go Write(King Kong Central Park How to play).Thx

  • Great...since you posted this, now I'm remembering the beautiful scene with them on the ice--I must watch this now!!! THANK YOU

  • When I hear this song I think of the scene where the gorilla dances with women o.o me want to mourn for beauty ø.ø

  • BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 8 people clicked the dislike button because there was no I love this video button.

  • @Shadowmace5

The 8 people who disliked the video, liked ur comment.

  • 8 people don't understand sadness in music

  • oh I remember the scene, when they were skating in central park it was so beautiful and suddenly BOOOM !! :( R.i.p King of animals

  • the greatness of the movie was,

even though Kong died. He and Ann discovered he wasn't such a monster.

and that he had found love.

So in the end, is it better to die for someone you love and have a heart

or die of loneliness and still be an evil monster?

  • @bizzle123luver the same

  • This truly gave me goosebumps all up and down my spine. The first time you hear this music is a once in a lifetime experience I am not going to forget that easily...

  • I wonder how many people in the orchestra who played this cried at the same time..

  • 2:41, beautiful.

  • Kong finally got his beautiful moment in this scene, and he earned it. I guess in everybody's life there is a beautiful moment, one where you can retreat to it time and time again, almost feeding off it. For some, it seems, these moments are easy to experience, others have to work, strive and endure until they get it. Kong is that to me. An outsider. Someone who people are not willing to include, or rather cannot, but he managed it, for a few beautiful minutes.

  • @georginiou

That is the most beautiful and true comment I seen on this page so far. So simple, so true.

Yes, we all have those moments. I have mine and I will never forget it. Perhaps there will be some new ones but if that never happends I will allways remembers those moments from the past.

And regarding this theme, it is so beautiful.

  • @Anguis79 The sad truth is, most people keep waiting for it, or achieve it vicariously through celebrities, or films. The majority of people define beauty with something supermodel because it's easier, but that's beause they don't understand what beauty is. The best way I can define it is a fleeting moment, where everything fits perfectly, like a jig saw made of nothing but joy, or a weird bittersweet melancholy. When we judge beauty so cheaply, society rots from within.

  • @georginiou

Perhaps, and that is tragical. But I do however believe every man feel it at least once in a lifetime even though we live in a fucked up era of time.

Yes. Like true love. The one and only kind that makes you shiver. Bittersweet. It hurt so much, but it yet stays above all of it at the same time. And the movie King Kong. It is such a underrated movie. But Im sure King Kong had plenty of nice moments with mrs Kong (shes nothing but bones in the movie), dont you think?

  • @Anguis79 Well, sorry to be a nerd, but Kong never had a Mrs Kong. What is most tragic about Kong's bacstory is not the solitary nature of it, but that he never had any company like him. The last of the Kongs died when Kong was just a baby. There is a really beautiful painting of baby Kong hunched over his dead mother, who was the penultimate companion. You see her bones in Kong's quarters. It's heartbreaking that he defined his life with nothing but lonliness, of battling. But he got his moment

  • @georginiou

Ok, I thougt the bones was from his dead girl and that the blonde was the "substitute" for her.

  • @georginiou Lol what if this song played when four carnictus attacked you and pinned you down XD would that be beautifal to this song.

  • @hurricanesofhell Yes, yes it would.

  • @georginiou XD Lololololol..!! i find that hard to believe..hahaha

  • @georginiou That was very deep, insightful, and thought-provoking I must say. Thanks for contributing it.

  • @georginiou

I fully agree a great and nice comment :) I have had some moments like that in my life, they were short lived but memorable and i would give anything to feel those happy fuzzy feelings I had when they happened.

  • @georginiou

usually i hate the top comments and always talk back about them flaming them as if you where.

but ... it is beautiful... yes...this movie touched me deeply.. i cant help but see the beauty.. poor king kong.........

..............so sad.. poor king kong man. he just wanted to live with the one he loved so.

  • beautiful...

  • It's sad to see that seven people don't know what beautiful music is.

  • King Kong And Naomi Watts Sex Scene

  • esta es la melodia mas hermosa que he escuchado en mi vida :)

  • This melody makes me think of some of the important things in my life. Besides that, it makes me think of most thing that actually care for.

  • Well, Denham, the airplanes got him.

Oh no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was beauty killed the beast.

  • Beautiful, underrated soundtrack to a beautiful, underrated movie.

  • Great soundtrack! Bought it when it came out.

  • when was this played in the movie?

  • @mroscar1120 When they were in central park maybe?xD

  • @mroscar1120 when kong is in NY and finally finds Naomi Watts.....and the scene where they are on the lake of ice playing around :) its a really nice scene :)

  • This music is just BRILIANT!!!, Peter Jackson is my Favorite director EVER!!

  • i get this amazing and relaxed feeling when listen to this.

    i love it.

  • Is it just me or does this sound like it would go well with "James Cameron's Avatar"?

  • @StarWishes4evr cant agree more.

  • I'm not just saying this, I really mean it. This is the best musical piece I've heard from any movie. I swear, it should have won an Oscar. =]

  • This moment in the film marks the first time in my life that I openly wept like a little girl in a crowded theater.

  • @moviedoors lol I cried at the theatre as well at multiple parts actually, this was one of them haha

  • @SuperJosh117 tu y reymys son un par de ignorantes pendejos y sin idea del mundo exterior D:.. porta es una maldita puta alimaña qn roba las ideas y las melodias de los mejores conpositores y las mezcla con su mierda de rap..

  • 0:35 - 0:50 just makes you think...about EVERYTHING. Everyone should stop and listen to all these spectacular, mind blowing soundtracks at least once in their life.

    Adrien Brody<33

  • Indeed my kind of melody.

  • Funny isn't? How could simple things like a melody bring us back memories, bad ones or good ones, make us laugh and cry

  • i have to say, Hans Zimmer can make bttr soundtracks, but he could NEVER have done it right for this movie. the movie for this movie requires passion and calm. also some powerful soundtracks are required, but still..... Hans Zimmer could never have done the soundtrack like this for King Kong. James Newton-Howard just makes the soundtrack flow into the movie^^

  • This is the best King Kong movie ever made. Peter Jackson was the right man for the job.

    And the music is inspiring.

  • 3:50 beautiful

  • i was 15 when i saw this it didn't made me cry but it mad relise how much u miss somthing when its gone

  • @jericho447 Yea its hard man.....very

  • This song is just absolutely gorgeous. It makes me want to cry just listening to it.

  • this song...made a 14 year old guy...cry. this is a masterpiece

  • one of the greatest soundtrack in history

  • this gives me goosebumps..

  • porta- de otro color

  • OMG, i totally cried when I saw this part of the movie, I was just 12 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday. And now I do the same, crying...

  • I'm not sure if words can describe how beautiful this is! What a treat for the ears!

  • This is so beautiful, just gorgeous!!!

  • John Barry composed this!

  • @herogna I'm pretty sure it's James Newton-Howard

  • @stigno89 It is JNH, you are right =)

  • My mind just drifts off when i listen to this song..great song!

  • como me gustaba este rey, verlo en su entorno, asta q el hombre llego a su reino.........y como siempre pasa......

  • i can't stop listening. it's sad but i love it anyway...

  • Does anyone else find it strange that probably the most emotionally deep and moving soundtrack comes from a movie about a giant gorilla?

  • GREAT FUNERAL MUSIC

  • they shoudlnt of even gone to tha island, poor king kong. It's in my top 10 favourite films

  • do not listen to this when your love of your life has left you,I can tell you that :(

  • @GamesReloaded you'll get through it, do not think of her as the love of your life.. it is not true, there are many women in this world and you just need one:) just not 'that one' alright.

  • @manohordijk I am through it :) almost. Buit in my opinion theres just one, believe in destiny

  • This is a very emotional soundtrack I can tell you that. It makes me wanna cry because King Kong died for the woman he loved. There are two old King Kong movies that I hate!! King Kong in 1933 and King Kong in 1970's BUT KING KONG THE 2005 VERSION IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!

  • @DarkNeckrowSilence HEY THE kING kONG OF 1933 IS OK... It inspried jackson into makeing movies......Altho the version with jeff bridges in 1970 was a stinker.....Peter Jackson's version as you say is the best by a mile.............................

  • ahahahahhaha BEAUTIFULL ;))))

  • GOSH DARN YOU JACK! :(

  • i love this song

  • indeed remind me of oblivion too, haha
