@GambianGrrl96 I cried when I saw this movie, but I don't feel like giving you a thumbs for your comment just because I expressed a certain emotion during it. As a matter of fact I'm kinda disappointed in the 31 (and counting(maybe)) that did. More so than the 10 that disliked this song, only because it was their actual opinion
I pretty much agree with everyone about this scene it's so beautiful, breathtaking, and so pure. Out of all the scenes this is probably my favorite scene, you see Kong out on the street and he meets his love and they spend some quality time together, dancing, it's so beautiful. The music and the scene really match eachother.
i have king kong soundtrack sheets, if somebody wants to trade with, im looking james newton howard sheets and game xenogears sheets, also jerry goldsmith and wojcieh killar, like bram stokers dracula.
There is so much emotion in this song. Even if you've never watched the movie and without knowing what's going on in this scene you could still feel the emotions of the two characters. That's what makes it beautiful. Having seen the movie, I know what's going on, and this song is amazing to me because it speaks for the characters, Kong and the Lady. They don't have to say a single word because the music says it all. Magnificent.
it reflects the sensitivity of this fantasy-movie... very moving. I love it, also appreciate it as a musician (I'm a pianist and composer, you're also welcome to check my youtube channel)
When the day comes that I have to give a speech at my fathers funeral, this song will be playing. I dont know what it is about it, but it is so pure. So beautiful. So, breathtaking. This song reminds you that you are not alone. That there is some place in this world for you. That you make a difference. That someone out there, cares. That someone out there, loves you... This song, it music gold.
I'm nearly crying. I know I'm not going to- the song is just grasping. If you've ever put your tongue to an AA battery and you feel that little buzz zing throughout it, you'll know what I mean when I say I feel that all over my body. My forearms are covered in goosebumps. And the song just stopped. That was sudden.
Weeping like a little child after watching King Kong (2005)! So much pain in this movie. Beautiful emotions! Naomi Watts deserves the Oscar for bringing those deep emotions alive! Truly amazing acting!
No, that's Al Jolsen's "I'm Sitting On Top Of the World" , it's used in the opening sequence. The track I was referring to plays when Anne in walking around New York looking for a producer. It plays again when they cut back to New York after they capture Kong.
My stepmom's name is Queen Kong. She's a little older and darker than my dad. Now my dad the the ape queeb kong are having xxx. My QK's stepmom name is " Ugly African Big Melted Poop Smigga Tigga Nigga Kong"/ SUKQK DUKQK FUKQK. The QK is in the senior age 53.
How it SHOULD have ended: Kong given an enormous zoo home, where Anne visits him every day and he is taken well care of. he also finally gets along with Jack who is now married to Anne. that piece of shit Denham is thrown in jail where he rots his fucking life away until he is a beat down corpse which is then fed to Kong. "and they lived happily ever after."
What is the track called where Ann is walking around New York at the beginning? It also plays when it cuts back to New York at the end of the movie. Its all jazzy and 40s style bouncy music.
@4440Winchester 10 now, i'm sure they prefer david guetta and lady gaga.... it's so wonderful, there is the pure expression of the beauty and sadnesse (sorry for my english but i'm not native)
I find it almost insulting how someone could dislike this. I'm aware people have different tastes, but to dislike something as precious and soothing as this is just wrong...
the big tragedy was that it wasn't the season to hunt kong. that violation comes with a hefty fine. oh..... wait...... they just killed patrick ewing. my bad.
All i can think of is when Anne first said beautiful to Kong, on Skull Island while they watched the sunset...then my mind shoots back to where the scene Kong lightly pounds his heart(once again Anne saying Beautiful)and what a damn fine relationship they both grew to have in that film. Thank you for uploading this fine piece.
This truly gave me goosebumps all up and down my spine. The first time you hear this music is a once in a lifetime experience I am not going to forget that easily...
Kong finally got his beautiful moment in this scene, and he earned it. I guess in everybody's life there is a beautiful moment, one where you can retreat to it time and time again, almost feeding off it. For some, it seems, these moments are easy to experience, others have to work, strive and endure until they get it. Kong is that to me. An outsider. Someone who people are not willing to include, or rather cannot, but he managed it, for a few beautiful minutes.
That is the most beautiful and true comment I seen on this page so far. So simple, so true.
Yes, we all have those moments. I have mine and I will never forget it. Perhaps there will be some new ones but if that never happends I will allways remembers those moments from the past.
@Anguis79 The sad truth is, most people keep waiting for it, or achieve it vicariously through celebrities, or films. The majority of people define beauty with something supermodel because it's easier, but that's beause they don't understand what beauty is. The best way I can define it is a fleeting moment, where everything fits perfectly, like a jig saw made of nothing but joy, or a weird bittersweet melancholy. When we judge beauty so cheaply, society rots from within.
Perhaps, and that is tragical. But I do however believe every man feel it at least once in a lifetime even though we live in a fucked up era of time.
Yes. Like true love. The one and only kind that makes you shiver. Bittersweet. It hurt so much, but it yet stays above all of it at the same time. And the movie King Kong. It is such a underrated movie. But Im sure King Kong had plenty of nice moments with mrs Kong (shes nothing but bones in the movie), dont you think?
@Anguis79 Well, sorry to be a nerd, but Kong never had a Mrs Kong. What is most tragic about Kong's bacstory is not the solitary nature of it, but that he never had any company like him. The last of the Kongs died when Kong was just a baby. There is a really beautiful painting of baby Kong hunched over his dead mother, who was the penultimate companion. You see her bones in Kong's quarters. It's heartbreaking that he defined his life with nothing but lonliness, of battling. But he got his moment
I fully agree a great and nice comment :) I have had some moments like that in my life, they were short lived but memorable and i would give anything to feel those happy fuzzy feelings I had when they happened.
@mroscar1120 when kong is in NY and finally finds Naomi Watts.....and the scene where they are on the lake of ice playing around :) its a really nice scene :)

Hans Zimmer could never have done the soundtrack like this for King Kong. James Newton-Howard just makes the soundtrack flow into the movie^^
OMG, i totally cried when I saw this part of the movie, I was just 12 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday. And now I do the same, crying...
@GamesReloaded you'll get through it, do not think of her as the love of your life.. it is not true, there are many women in this world and you just need one:) just not 'that one' alright.
This is a very emotional soundtrack I can tell you that. It makes me wanna cry because King Kong died for the woman he loved. There are two old King Kong movies that I hate!! King Kong in 1933 and King Kong in 1970's BUT KING KONG THE 2005 VERSION IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!
@DarkNeckrowSilence HEY THE kING kONG OF 1933 IS OK... It inspried jackson into makeing movies......Altho the version with jeff bridges in 1970 was a stinker.....Peter Jackson's version as you say is the best by a mile.............................
My friends didn't even understand this movie.. they wanted to go just to see the fight scenes between Kong and the V-Rex..

the greatness of the movie was,
even though Kong died. He and Ann discovered he wasn't such a monster.

So in the end, is it better to die for someone you love and have a heart

Does anyone else find it strange that probably the most emotionally deep and moving soundtrack comes from a movie about a giant gorilla?

do not listen to this when your love of your life has left you,I can tell you that :(
GamesReloaded 1 year ago
@GamesReloaded you'll get through it, do not think of her as the love of your life.. it is not true, there are many women in this world and you just need one:) just not 'that one' alright.

This is a very emotional soundtrack I can tell you that. It makes me wanna cry because King Kong died for the woman he loved. There are two old King Kong movies that I hate!! King Kong in 1933 and King Kong in 1970's BUT KING KONG THE 2005 VERSION IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!
DarkNeckrowSilence 1 year ago
@DarkNeckrowSilence HEY THE kING kONG OF 1933 IS OK... It inspried jackson into makeing movies......Altho the version with jeff bridges in 1970 was a stinker.....Peter Jackson's version as you say is the best by a mile.............................
